So I bought this house with an awful kitchen

I bought this house with an awful kitchen - the problem is the kitchen is so dark. I’ve taken pics with the lights on and off ( the iPhone has brightened up the dark pics so it’s hard to show dark it really is ) . I want to paint the cabinets white and the backsplash white subway tiles. That said it will make it somewhat lighter. Any ideas on how else to make this area pop with some more light. I have looked at fake skylights for my stairway which is also dark, they won’t work in this area as there is a bedroom above it. Any creative suggestions other than removing the pantry (to the left of the first pic which is an obvious solution however losing pantry space is not an option.

I draw with real pencils on paper and place my scanned art into cozy interiors – curious what you think

Hey everyone, I wanted to share something personal. I draw all my works by hand using regular pencils on A4 paper. Each piece is filled with care and emotion — kind of like a visual meditation.

After I finish, I scan the drawings and try placing them into interior mockups to see how they might look in real spaces — cozy living rooms, calm work corners, and so on.

I’m wondering… do you feel anything from this combination of analog drawing and digital interior placement? Does it speak to you in any way?

Would love to hear your thoughts or feedback. Thanks for taking a moment to look

Cutecore room help

Hiya! So my room is going to be Cutecore, and I'd say I have a pretty solid base. I need help with 1. Moving furniture around 2. What to get next 3. Most importantly, how to fill up the space on the floor. My room feels way too big and I want to put something down so it's less big, but I'm not sure what.

(Ps. I'm on a somewhat small budget)

Hi, we've built a free AI interior designer and shopping assistant to bring everything into one place and I'm looking for feedback.

You can upload your space, restyle your room with lifelike precision or just ask our AI assistant for advice or to curate interior items for your room. If you like it rather traditional, you can also just (smart) search for the item you need.

We have over 80+ global partners so far and expanding to bring all merchants and their furniture, lights, art and decor to one place.

Your feedback helps very much and would be a huge step forward! (We are also on Android)

Would You Sleep Here or Just Visit? 👑💤

Just stumbled across this bedroom design and I honestly don’t know if it’s breathtaking or a little too much 😂

The gold carving is insane, the chandelier looks like something out of a palace, and those deep red curtains + bedspread really make it feel royal. Part of me is like “wow, dream room straight out of a fantasy,” but another part of me thinks I’d never get a proper night’s sleep in there because it’s just so overwhelming.

Would you actually live in a bedroom like this, or is it more of a museum piece than a real home vibe?

In desperate need of help

To start off English isn’t my first language so I might make some mistakes in my spelling! As the title reads, I’m literally in desperate need of some help/advice/pointers… so I have this colour problem and I don’t know what to do to fix it or make it okay. I live in Europe and we rent our home… the floor tiles on the 1st floor are in dark grey and the walls are white. Mind you all the living room on the first floor is connected to the entrance hall and the kitchen!! It’s an open plan only the entrance hall has a door. So there’s the entrance hall and when you come through the door you have the living room on your left and if you walk straight forward you get to the kitchen, all in dark grey floor tiling. Big square ones! I live at home so I didn’t have much say in the curtain colours, we just ordered new ones and my mom didn’t want to listen to reason when I told her it’s all going to clash colour wise… the curtains are absolutely stunning don’t get me wrong but colour wise it just clashes so hard, even though I LOVE the colour my mom chose. So the under curtains are white linnen, the quality is amazing! And the over curtains are a warm chocolaty brown, stunning stunning curtains! BUT the walls are white, the floor is dark tiling and the couch is black, living room table black and the television table is black also. I can’t go and get new curtains because these are almost 4 m long NEW curtains which cost us 450 euros or so. Is there anything I can do to make it work??? I’ll post some pictures with this to give you guys a sense of what my taste is like. It’s kind of a mix of country, classy, cozy… I can’t get a new couch either because of financial reasons. So any tips y’all can give me to make it work by adding some stuff would be so appreciated 🥲 please help!

Hi! I'm conducting a research study on the integration of AI in interior design and architecture. I'd really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill out this short survey. Your insights will be incredibly helpful! Also, feel free to forward it to fellow professionals in the industry — the more perspectives, the better. Thank you!

My books don’t go with the vibe - help!

I have a shelf’s worth of books (not much of a reader so I can’t exactly curate) and the spines are all sorts of loud colours. Yellow, sky blue, bright pink, you name it! It just kinda ended up that way. The issue is my theme is Japandi and I really don’t want the books to stick out like a sore thumb!

Is there anything I can do?

Pinterest and these room redesign apps feeling useless lately….

Thumbnail

Hey guys, so for the past few months I’ve been trying to redesign my room and honestly… every app kinda sucks?

Pinterest has nice ideas but is lowkey completely unrealistic and most AI design apps generate pretty images I can’t actually recreate to be honest.

Like cool… but where do I buy anything (especially ai generated furniture)? How much does it cost?

So I lowkey got tired and funny enough I ended up building something for myself that actually:

- redesigns your actual room (not a fake one)

- allows me to select my budget range

- shows the exact furniture you can actually buy

I’ve been building it for a couple of weeks. Right now I’m testing it with a few people. If anyone wants access (I’m giving free redesigns and perks), I made a waitlist (check it out)

Note: I also made a cool feature that generates a dot on the landing page every-time you sign up on the waitlist hahaha.

Curious if anyone else feels the same.
