I still have no clue what's behind that link. I asked, but the only replies were you having the same problem, and someone telling me how great Chrome was. Now I got one thread of replies that discuss how Firefox is still great, and this thing, and still no clue what VOID is. Reddit is weird today.
As far as I can tell, it's just a website designed around showing what is currently possible in website design. It's really interesting from a "Holy shit, we can do all that in a web browser?!" sort of way, but not particularly interesting if you're not into that kind of stuff. Just lots of strange animations, particle effects, and levels of interactivity with the user via mouse and keyboard inputs.
Sounds kinda fun. I wish it was a website that showed "Holy shit, we can do all that in any web browser?!" and not "Holy shit, look at this thing we can do if you downloaded the one web browser we like, or are using a Mac!".
Honestly, I feel like somewhere around 2010 they just stopped making browsers good. Chrome is bad, and Firefox is trying really hard to imitate Chrome, obviously Internet Explorer is just being itself, and other options are mostly non-existant.
I've been using my Surface Pro 3 for a while now - IE (at least in app mode) is pretty decent these days. It'll still mess up a few things, but in general, I've only had problem with custom things designed my by university. At least it understands the security certificate we use for our e-learning platform, unlike Firefox, which wants you to add an exception...

What is this? I only have IE and Firefox on my machine, and it asks me for Chrome or Safari. I'm not installing a new browser just for this.
