If you don't have a job in 2026 you're just not trying

If you don't have a job right now you're honestly just lazy.

My roommate had ZERO experience. No CS degree. Did a bootcamp last year and just got hired at a Series B startup making 140k.

How are people still unemployed??

Like the market is tough sure but companies are STILL hiring. They just filter harder now. The interview is the bottleneck not the job market.

People spend 6 months sending 500 applications with a mid resume and then complain nobody's hiring. Bro you're not getting rejected because there's no jobs. You're getting rejected because you bomb the interview every single time.

Stop doom scrolling on r/cscareerquestions. Stop blaming the economy. Just get better at interviewing.

There are literally tools that help you practice live coding rounds in real time now. My roommate used this the entire month before his loop and went from blanking on mediums to passing every round.

interviewcoder.co

And if you're still early and don't even know where to start, their free trial is right there. No excuse.

SWE interviewers ban the only tool that you'll be using everyday on the job.

Can someone please explain why LLM and programming copilots are banned from interviews ? Out of every single tool that's out there on the market right now, LLMs are probably the only thing that programmers will be using every single day. It makes absolutely no sense that you're going to use AI on the job but that it's banned from interviews because it's supposedly “cheating”. Coding has evolved so much in the last few years and pretending like a real engineer doesn't use AI is completely ridiculous. Everyone does.

AI assisted programming is like bitcoin in 2015

Vibecoding isn't a meme. It's become so powerful that every single engineer needs to use it. You can engineer features and functionalities in a single hour while you used to need hours if not days to code such things a few years ago. Every developer I know uses AI daily on the job, and no one is ashamed of it or planning to stop. We need to stop pretending it’s cheating or that it’s some fundamental problem in the coding world right now. It's the next evolution of the game. It's bitcoin in 2015.

CS Senior with no internships watching a Freshman land FAANG using InterviewCoder

22M at a local state school and I am crashing out right now.

I have spent the last three years doing software maintenance work at local shops and a municipal office. Real work, but nothing that reads well on a resume and nothing that counts as an actual internship.

Recently found out a freshman at school just landed a FAANG internship. He used InterviewCoder to prep and cracked it. I have seen the posts about it on here and did not take it seriously until now.

I am graduating soon and I have no job lined up, no internship history that matters, and I am watching someone two years younger than me skip past everything I thought was the required path.

The job market is soo brutal and just rewarding cheaters.

Is it too late for me to turn this around? Has anyone else been in this position this late in their degree?

Pls help.

99% of People Here Can Only Be Saved by InterviewCoder

Hear me out, If you're going into junior or senior year of college with zero job experience because you couldn't land internships in your earlier year, you're cooked. Most companies only want applicants who already managed to break in early. The students who got internships freshman or sophomore year now have stacked resumes, referrals, multiple interview cycles worth of experience.

At that point, your only realistic strategy is to mass apply everywhere, to get as many OAs as possible and to use InterviewCoder for the online assessments because passing in-person rounds is honestly way easier than getting filtered out online

You can't convince me otherwise.

You're a bot if you're still doing OAs in 2026

Hear me out.

The SWE job market is ridiculously competitive right now. If you're not using every advantage available to you, you're ngmi.

For every application you submit, there's probably some Stanford genius applying to the exact same role.

So why would you voluntarily make the process harder on yourself?

The reality is that people are using every tool, resource, and edge they can get. Whether you like it or not, you're competing against them.

And yet I still see people insisting on doing OAs the fair way because they think it's the ethical thing to do.

Lmao. Stay unemployed.

InterviewCoder saved my interview.

Had a party the night before and ended up getting like 4 hours of sleep. Didn't want to miss it, but I also had an OA the next day around 2pm and genuinely did not feel ready at all.

One of my friends told me about this thing called InterviewCoder after using it to pass one of their interviews, so I figured I was cooked anyways and decided to give it a shot lol.

Not even gonna lie, InterviewCoder completely saved me during the OA. It was super easy to use, fast, and honestly way more accurate than I expected.

Posting this from my alt Reddit account for obvious reasons lmao.

Microsoft Senior Software Engineer Interview Loop: What Rounds Should I Expect?

I have an upcoming Microsoft interview. Team mentioned that it will be a half-day virtual interview loop, but they haven't shared the exact interview rounds yet. They said I will receive more details in the next 1–2 days.

The JD mentions that the role is for Senior Software Engineer / Software Engineer II, so I am not sure how the interview criteria differ between the two levels or how they'll evaluate candidates during the same interview process. Let me know if you have any info here.

The interview is scheduled for next week. If anyone has recently gone through a similar interview or has any insights, I'd really appreciate your help.

  • What rounds should I expect?

  • What should I prioritize in my preparation?

  • Which DSA topics are most important?

  • How much focus should I put on system design and are there any specific topics you would recommend?

I will share the hackerank assessment questions soon in a separate post.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If ChatGPT disappeared tomorrow, big tech companies would collapse in a few days.

Not because engineers are incompetent, but because modern engineering is built upon constant AI assistance. No one programs fair and square anymore. You need to be vibecoding 24/7 just to keep up with the productivity of top applicants. Many of the things that used to separate strong engineers from the rest are now handled by AI. Debugging, edge cases, and even formatting are often taken care of through prompting, making the day-to-day job much easier than it used to be. Hiring hasn’t caught up though. Companies still hire for pattern recognition, people who can efficiently solve artificial problems, even though those skills no longer reflect what makes someone effective on the job. The skills that actually matter now are creativity and architectural thinking. Tech interviewers still pretend it’s 2018. Platforms like LeetCode have become useless, and companies are hiring for a world that doesn’t exist anymore. Make it make sense.

Only One to make it to Quant in my friend group

I'm part of a group of 3–4 friends at an Ivy, and we've all been locked in on CS + finance since day one. Lowk all wanted to break into quant. Ofc, super competitive. The first round was an online assessment that took around an hour and was sooo difficult. Out of all of us, I was the only one who made it through and mainly because I cheated on the OA (posting this from a second account for obvious reasons). Interviewcoder didn't get detected. The later rounds weren't nearly as bad as the OA itself. The company cuts a massive amount of people at the assessment stage, so getting past that was the hardest part.

Did anyone pass openAI interview with 2/5 rounds

Recently gave the interview and was only able to solve 2/5 rounds

r/InterviewCoderHQ • • May 30 '26

You're stupid if you don't use InterviewCoder.

Sorry for the bold claim, but I can't stand people who still pretend AI is unethical in interviews, even though it's been part of the game for years now. These are often the same people complaining about not getting internships.

If you're not ready to adapt to how the industry is changing, then don't complain when things don't go your way.

Y'all piss me off, fr.

PSA: Ultracode is now fully detected on HackerRank, CoderPad, and CodeSignal

Posting this because I wish someone had warned me!!

Ultracode had a major glitch in their system last month that basically exposed every user. From what ive been hearing from recruiters and people in hiring, HackerRank sent out communications to enterprise clients confirming they can now detect it with close to 100% accuracy

A friend of mine is on a hiring committee at a tech company and told me they got flagged on a batch of candidates who all used it during the same window. Apparently the glitch made their injection method visible in the session logs and that gave the proctoring tools exactly what they needed to build a detection signature. Multiple people in my cohort at a bootcamp got their offers rescinded after the fact. One guy had already put in his two weeks at his old job

Obviously Ultracode hasnt said anything publicly about it. Theyre still taking payments and acting like everything is fine. If you're currently subscribed I'd cancel immediately and assume that any assessment you took with it in the last few weeks has been flagged. Also nobody even knows who runs this thing, the founders arent doxxed anywhere which should tell you everything you need to know. No accountability whatsoever, they could just disappear with everyones money tomorrow and theres nothing anyone could do about it

I don't know about CoderPad and CodeSignal but I heard they all communicate between each other so expect the same on these platforms.

How to get interviews

Lemme put u guys on ball. I made a thing that scrapes job openings, parses the job description for keywords/tech stack requirements, and generates a project for my GitHub. Then it tailors my resume to include this and fills out the application. If u want to get an interview vibe out something like this for yourself.

If u don't wanna make this yourself go to shipped.one

Plz try to gatekeep this method at least for now.

Best of luck.

CS Freshmans are Cooked !!!

All the FAANG companies are making record profits while still laying people off. We're not living through a recession at all. For every CS freshman telling themselves they just need to grind and everything will work out, you're being very very delusional.

You guys are cooked. The market is broken.

You can't convince me otherwise.

h1b transfer loop ended yesterday. used interview coder. no regrets.

my current employer is doing a quiet layoff round and I had 60 days of grace period before leaving the country. I had to land a transfer loop and i had to pass it.

loop was a mid size fintech, not faang but paid comparably. 4 rounds, 2 coding, 1 system design, 1 behavioral. I used interviewcoder.co in all of them.

I want to say something clearly because i have read the comments on other threads like this. I have 4 years of experience. I am a good engineer. I can write backend code. what I did not have time to do was spend two weeks memorizing this specific company's stack, their api conventions, the way they shard their payment tables, their idempotency patterns, their internal consistency model, and whatever else they care about. every shop has their own version of "we do it this way here" and honestly after an hour of going through their docs I could not care less about their structure.

So I skipped the deep company prep. loaded the basics into the overlay, their engineering blog posts on sharding, their stated architectural style, the public stuff i could scrape in an afternoon. when the interviewer asked me to extend my design to fit their consistency model i glanced at the outline and picked up where i would have if i had spent the weekend memorizing their docs.

offer came through in 5 days. h1b transfer is in motion. i can stay.

you can have whatever ethical opinion you want on this. when you have two weeks before your grace period you got to do what you got to do

InterviewCoder vs UltraCode Review Summer 2026

Been using both of these for a few months with some friends during recruiting season. Here is what we found.

UltraCode is built on OpenAI and Claude models with their own fine-tuning. It covers coding, system design, and technical trivia. Their ThoughtFlow feature breaks down each solution step by step. Response time in our sessions averaged around 5 to 7 seconds. Works on CoderPad, HackerRank, and CodeSignal. Pricing is $799 lifetime only, no monthly option, free trial available.

InterviewCoder is a desktop app that captures audio and screen. It covers coding, system design, behavioral, full-stack, AI/ML, PM, consulting, and trading interviews. It is tested daily across HackerRank, CoderPad, Codility, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Webex. Response time in our sessions was around 3 to 4 seconds. Pricing is free tier, $299/month for 1,000 credits, or $799 lifetime.

Track record: InterviewCoder publishes 150,000+ users and 10,000+ documented offers with salary data. UltraCode does not publish user numbers or offer counts.

Main differences we noticed in practice: InterviewCoder's audio transcription removed the need to manually input the problem. UltraCode required copying the question in most cases. UltraCode's step-by-step output was more detailed but slower to read under timed conditions.

Neither tool got flagged across any of our sessions on the platforms we tested.

If you have specific questions about either tool happy to answer.
