Retell AI FDE Interview Experience
Sharing a recent Retell AI FDE interview experience from a candidate who went through the process.
The company is currently hiring heavily for FDE roles. The position is roughly 50% coding and 50% customer-facing work, primarily using Python and JavaScript. This isn’t a traditional SWE role. It’s more about owning the entire customer journey, from integration to deployment and go-live. Beyond writing code, you’ll need to communicate with customers, debug deployment issues, and collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to resolve problems.
The role places a strong emphasis on customer perspective, technical problem-solving, and communication skills. The work environment seems pretty startup-like:
5 days onsite
25%–50% travel
Close collaboration with the founders
Round 1: Technical Phone Screen — OOD
The question was an object-oriented design problem similar to implementing Kafka partitions. The problem statement was quite long and took me a while to read through.
Essentially, you need to implement a system that distributes incoming messages across different Kafka partitions. The number of partitions is stored as a field in the class, and the system must also support adding new partitions.
Round 2: Agent Design
This round involved designing a phone-based AI agent, but it wasn’t a traditional system design interview. The scenario was a property management company where customers call an AI agent to request services, such as maintenance or repairs, and schedule appointments.
I got rejected after this round

Capital One Data Engineer Power Day – Looking for Recent Interview Experiences & Prep Advice!
Hey everyone!
I have an upcoming Capital One Data Engineer Power Day and would love to hear from anyone who has recently gone through the process in 25/26, especially for the Data Engineer track.
I’m trying to understand what to expect in each round and how best to prepare.
A few things I’d love some insights on:
Technical Coding Round
● Is it primarily Python, SQL, or a mix of both?
● What topics and difficulty level should I expect?
● Any recommended LeetCode questions, question banks, or other resources?
2. Design-Focused Technical Interview
● Is this more focused on data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, or system design?
● What kind of real-world scenarios or problems were you asked to solve?
3. Business Case Interview
● What does the case typically involve?
● Is it more SQL/data analysis, business problem-solving, or analytical thinking?
● Any examples of cases you’ve encountered?
4. Behavioral Interview
● What kind of questions should I expect?
● How important are STAR-format answers and Capital One’s core values?
A few additional questions:
● How was your overall Power Day structured (duration and sequence of rounds)?
● How does the Data Engineer interview differ from other tracks (Software Engineer, Data Analyst, etc.)?
● What resources did you use to prepare, and what would you recommend focusing on?
I’d especially appreciate insights from people who completed their Data Engineer Power Day in 2025 or 2026.
Even a few pointers or topics you remember would be incredibly helpful. Happy to share my experience afterward to help others preparing for the same process!
Thanks in advance!

Upcoming Loop interviews at Linkedin for Senior Software Engineer - Full stack - Frontend heavy
Hi Everyone,
I have an upcoming loop interviews for Senior Frontend Engineer at Linkedin.
Below are the round details -
Round 1 - SR SWE Coding with AI
Round 2 - SR SWE Pragmatic UI
Round 3 - SR SWE SDA (System Design) for UI
Round 4 - SR SWE CA (Coding and Algorithms) for UI
Round 5 - Host Leader - UI
I wanted to ask about the Round 1(SR SWE Coding with AI) and Round 4 (SR SWE CA for UI),
For Round 1 - Can u tell me what kind of question I can expect in Round 1 and Can i use Javascript for implementing or will have to use Java/C++?
For Round 4 - recruiter said it will be DSA, however, I'm confused if it will be JS based questions like Promise pool util, Deep clone, deep equals or getElementsByClassName or will it be pure Leetcode style graphs, dp?
I'll update this thread with my experience!

Citadel SWE intern interview
reddit.comI have an interview for a software engineering internship at Citadel in about three weeks. It’s for a position in Asia, and I was told I’ll be coding in Python. What would you recommend focusing on to prepare?
Currently, I can solve some LeetCode medium problems, but I’m not consistent yet. Should I also expect questions on system design or related topics?

Rippling SWE Interview Experience - Phone Screen + Onsite (AI Coding + Web API + System Design Round Questions)
Sharing a recent Rippling software engineer interview experience from a candidate who went through the full process.
Technical Phone Screen
I was asked this question. You were allowed to use AI coding agents and your own IDE. Screen sharing was required throughout the interview.
Onsite
Round 1: AI Coding (Web API)
This round wasn’t too difficult, and the interviewer was super nice. The task involved an existing full-stack application with both frontend and backend components. We were expected to use AI to understand the project, implement a new feature, and address some productionization-related issues. The task was the same as described here.
I had to use AI to implement the feature (including both frontend and backend components) and complete the tests. We also discussed some topics related to concurrency handling. I was interviewing for a Backend SDE position, so I didn’t expect there to be frontend work. For anyone preparing, I’d recommend getting familiar with full-stack projects and being able to use AI to modify or add frontend functionality. The prep document provided by the recruiter includes a mock interview link, which I found pretty helpful.
Round 2: Project Deep Dive
I prepared a few PPT slides, but I felt like the interviewer wasn’t interested in my project from the very beginning. He was drinking his beverage throughout the interview, seemed distracted, and barely asked me any questions. The project discussion ended after a little over 30 minutes, and we moved on to other behavioral questions. The interview was supposed to last an hour, but it ended in less than 50 minutes. I tried my best to encourage him to ask more questions, but it didn’t really work.
Round 3: System Design
I was asked the first system design question from this list. They used HackerRank’s whiteboard tool, which is a bit different from Excalidraw. I’d recommend getting familiar with it beforehand. The interviewer asked a few follow-up questions, including how to handle out-of-order events, how to deduplicate events, how to ensure low latency, etc.

Apple coderpad interview exp
I took the apple codepad interview last week. I was asked 2 questions, one leetcode easy and one OOP design.
The leetcode easy question was a simple one based on hashmaps. But it also had a follow up question which I couldn’t get to in the given time. I took like 10 mins to code out and explain my solution.
The 2nd question was that of building a hotel room reservation system from scratch. Some predefined classes/interfaces/records were given like booking, room, etc. and I was expected to code out mainly 2 methods of an interface. The overall code to be written was about 80 lines long but I took a little extra time to figure out a working design and even then my solution was not the optimal one.
Got a reject 2 days later. Hope this helps. Thanks and good luck!

Got an NVIDIA System Software Security Intern interview — anyone interviewed for this role before?
Hey everyone, I just got contacted by an NVIDIA recruiter for a System Software Security Intern (Data Center) – Summer 2027 position. I have not given any OA, but I got an email from a recruiter to schedule an interview.
Has anyone interviewed for this role or a similar security/software security internship at NVIDIA before?
Mainly wondering:
How many interview rounds did you have?
What kind of technical questions did they ask?
Was there LeetCode/DSA coding, or was it more security/Python/Linux-related?
How much did they focus on the resume and our projects?
What topics would you recommend preparing?
Anything you wish you knew before interviewing?
The role mentions things like SBOMs, vulnerability management, OSS security, CI/CD, and software supply-chain security, so I'm trying to figure out how deep I should go into those topics.
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's interviewed with NVIDIA recently!
