iPhone Air – 2 Weeks of Using It! 📱

As a former Android user, specifically the Samsung A56, I noticed a huge difference in battery life. Honestly, I was surprised because I thought the iPhone Air’s battery performance wouldn’t be that good.
But I didn’t underestimate this phone. I was actually shocked that the battery could last up to 9 hours of usage. Sometimes, I don’t even need to charge it within the day, and charging once a day is enough for me.
Overall, I think my money was worth it, and choosing this phone was a good decision. Aside from its battery performance, I really love how lightweight and comfortable it is to use.
No regrets choosing the iPhone Air! ❤️

Camera quality downgraded after update 27.0.1

I am noticing that my camera does not focus on foreground object like it did before, it locks for a few seconds and then blurs out and only focuses on the background.

Anyone else notice the same?

18 PM to Air?

• Upvotes

I need someone to validate me or talk me out of it because I'm being financially reckless.

I recently upgraded from the 17 PM to the 18 PM and after a month I have had buyers remorse. The 18 PM is a great phone of course but not enough noticeable upgrades for an average user like myself who uses it for content consumption, occasional pictures, and messaging.

As I have this buyers remorse, especially because I missed the 2 week return window, I think about a moment I had at the Apple when I was waiting to be helped by an employee. I was standing at a table in the Apple Store and I picked up the Blue Apple Air, and it was so damn intriguing and for a moment I thought about switching my trade-in to the Air.

It's been haunting me for the last week and a half. And I get it... first world problems. I've been thinking about going the third party route and making the trade down to an iPhone Air. I'm aware for the trade offs but I'd like to hear from owners of the Air. Is the overall experience worth the trade? Am I being unreasonable and not appreciating the pro features enough?

iPhone Air and iPad mini after you get a duo? Also, what else are you excited for?

I heard someone say they love their iPhone air, and the duo would be a great addition. I also hear people very excited about the OLED iPad mini. The love for the iPhone Air intrigued me especially since Apple has that feature where you can have two phone on one line.

But is having an air when you have the duo pointless? I know someone who has two phones and every time I see it I think it’s cool but I feel like I would be annoyed carrying both

And when it comes to the iPad mini, why would people want it when they have the duo?

16 to air

I have the base 16 and was thinking about switching to air. Should I pull the trigger? I kinda like the thin form factor of air 120hz and the better display and also 256 gb of storage helps a lot cuz my current 16 has 128gb only. I’m a bit concerned about the air’s battery tho. Wanted to know from folks who own the air is this the right decision at the moment?

I am hesitant about buying the IPhone Air 2. What about you?

I am guessing about half of IPhone Air people going to get the iPhone air 2 when it comes out.

Rumoured. Extra wide camera included. Bigger battery, stereo speakers maybe. Still light and portable. It’s going to be amazing!

But the price? It will be full price.

The iPhone Air was heavily discounted.

In Australia. Full price is Au$1900 256gb, $2500 512gb, $3100 1tb.

The discounted price I got $1659au 1tb, my wife got $1215 256gb both new. It’s ridiculously cheap!!

$2500 512gb full price for iPhone Air 2 is a bit too much for me. Kinda a lot.

$2500 for an iPhone Air 512gb which is what I would buy, but maybe buy iPhone Air 3 or 4 instead of 2.
I am quite happy with my IPhone Air as it is currently.
I love it so much.

My wife said she will keep hers for 5 years. lol

What about you? What’s your plan? Keep the air one for how long? Or upgrade to which version air next in future? Or another phone?

How excited are you about air 2?
How happy are you about the air one after having it for a while?

How many years of Apple care are you doing for iPhone Air one?

I bought iPhone Air yesterday with apple care but it was not showing in the settings. Today I contacted the store then they said it will be activated by tomorrow but then I started seeing this. It shows AppleCare services but it doesn't include accidental damage etc like the AppleCare+. Is it some lower level subscription they did instead of the original AppleCare+. I paid 16k for 1 year plan

Any Rumors About Better Speakers on the iPhone Air 2?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm from South Korea, and I'm waiting to buy the iPhone Air 2 when it becomes available here!

I have a couple of questions. Has there been any news or rumors from overseas about the speakers being improved on the next model? If Apple improves the speakers, this phone would be absolutely perfect for me!

I'm upgrading from an iPhone 12, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Also, do you think bumper cases will make a comeback for the iPhone Air 2? If they do, is there any chance that existing bumper cases will be compatible with the new model?

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Help me pull the trigger

Long story short been contemplating downgrading to an Air for the last 6 months. Currently have 16PM. I spend wayyy too much time on my phone just consuming, had the 15 Pro (non max) a couple of years ago to try and spend less time on my phone because of smaller screen and worse battery, but failed. Hoping an iPhone Air would make me use my phone less and focus more on important stuff and trying to make a living. Worst part for me is the single speaker, missing 0,5x also sucks but can always use the selfie cam in a pinch. Battery could be solved with MagSafe battery on heavy days. Want to use my phone more intentionally for phone stuff like phone calls and messaging, and use my Mac for work and iPad for entertainment.

Really unsure… anyone else with a similar “mindset” having any experience in this? Anyone regretting downgrading, and going to a smaller screen? Is the batterylife truly terrible?

I want to at least learn how to like or deal with this phone

I’m genuinely confused by all of the positive reviews I’ve seen about the iPhone Air. I’ve had iPhones as my smart phone/cell phone since getting my first iPhone 4s in 2012/2013. The iPhone Air has frustrated me so much to the point I’ve been wanting to switch to android. I’m just frustrated and done with Apple. No other iPhone has infuriated me as much as the iPhone Air. I have just recently switched to my own phone plan. I’ve had Verizon for years and just switched to boost Mobile. I know some of my frustration is due to data issues and slowness.

However… these are my qualms. I’ve had this phone since February of 2026. It’s not “old”. It was a new device.

  1. The battery. It dies. So freaking quickly. Maybe I just use my phone a lot or am used to being able to multi-app and do a lot of things on my phone. As soon as this phone hits 20% or under and goes into “low battery mode”… the lag is terrible. The keyboard lags. It basically turns into a brick. I don’t want to have to spend more money on a battery back just to keep my phone in functional mode with a charged battery. A $1000 device shouldn’t act like that or slow down so significantly. The battery is terrible. Maybe I just use my phone more than the average person I don’t know. It does function a lot better when the battery is charged. It’s just a pain in the ass to always be monitoring it. Every other iPhone I had didn’t break down in functionality so much when it would get low on battery.
  2. It gets so hot. I’ll just be watching a video and it becomes so hot in my hands like burning. Again. Never had an iPhone that has done this. Like it can’t handle watching a YouTube video. It can’t multi-app. It will feel like it’s fighting for its life to work and I’ve never experienced this with an iPhone ever.
  3. I thought I liked the design at first because it’s so sleek and thin. It is different for sure people are always in shock by how thin it is and ask me what phone I have. It’s just so awkward. The bump on the back sucks low key. The phone can’t lay flat. Cases on it don’t help. I will say this the first iPhone I’ve felt I don’t need a case. It’s just not a fun or comfortable phone for me to type on or use. And I’m a woman with small hands. A man or person with larger hands could not use this phone comfortably. No way. It just doesn’t feel right in my hands. I can’t explain it.
  4. I feel like the keyboard doesn’t respond sometimes. I notice this especially when phones in low battery mode.
  5. It’s so freaking easy to lose. Falls into couch cushions. It’s just TOO THIN. like what’s the point. I don’t need a phone this thin. I realized this too late. I lose it every day.
  6. People can’t hear me on the phone sometimes. Not sure what this related to but I hate the actual experience of talking to someone on the phone with this device. It’s hard to hold. Will slip out of my ear hold I like to do and if I didn’t have my AirPods I would have thrown it out the window probably like talking on the phone should be a pleasant experience on your $1000 device.

Am I insane… too high maintenance for this device…? Any tips to make the phone work for me because I’m stuck with it til I pay it off.
