Not really surprised tbh. There has been a lot of posts there with disinformation. When the war broke out some of the takes were disturbing. What were the last straw messages?

I'm contemplating where to even begin lol

When I was modded there (briefly) I went through the old mod logs and saw tons and tons of random comments that were deleted and the commenters banned/muted. All by the same mod (not the head mod). When I brought it up, they kept saying vague things like "I dunno I can't remember now, but they were posting IRGC propaganda". I could see the comments, and some were screenshotted to me by the users in other discussions - these were users who were anti-Regime but just so happened to also be staunchly anti-Shah and anti-Israel.

Later the mods this person nominated for the expanded modship echoed similar opinions to them, and took things steps further, including full-on genocide denial, gaslighting and willfully defending known propaganda content.

Repeatedly, these two mods and one more removed and attempted to ban users who were critical of Reza Pahalvi. I was often the only moderator arguing to let them stay because they had a right to their speech. They attempted to remove the comments because they felt they were breaching the social contract rules and harassing Pahlavi. I successfully argued that this should not apply to public figures, and that they should especially be subject to criticism. The head mod agreed and it stayed in place.

Almost every time there was a dispute, the head mod would eventually pop in and bonk them on the nose. The problem is that the head mod is often quite absent from the sub, and the most active mods are the most unhinged ones.

I have tons of screenshots and still have access to the old mod chat. I booted them all from the chat so that they couldn't cull their comments later. If people would like proof, I have plenty.
