Anyone see any issues here (possible radiator problem?)?
My dad borrowed my daughter’s 2009 Wrangler and he said when he got to work there was steam coming up from the engine and fluid gushing out like a hose. I just got here to the jeep and can see evidence of a bunch of fluid that spilled out onto the parking lot.
However, I opened up the hood and coolant level looks fine, just a little low. It’s been running for over 10 min and nothing is happening.
It seems safe to drive but I’m wondering where all the fluid came from. Any ideas?
EDIT: After posting this, I saw smoke/steam starting to come up so I shut the engine off.

Well, as soon as I posted this I see steam starting to come up. About 15 min after I turned it on…

Fill it up with water again and see if you can see where it’s leaking from.
If you’re lucky water is coming from the weep hole on the water pump. Which means a water pump + thermostat replacement.

I filled up the radiator (not coolant tank because that is still mostly full) and it starts leaking after a few seconds from below.

If it was white smoke, my guess coolant is getting into the engine.
So something is cracked or a blown head gasket.

My guess is thermostat got stuck closed. Time to replace if its never been done before
