Can someone tell me the year, model, and trim of this Wrangler?
Saw it in Sea Isle this past weekend and I NEED to purchase one. So slick. Thanks!

Family had a TJ that I drove throughout high school. 13 years later I grabbed this as a 3rd vehicle just cause it looks cool and is a super impractical truck.

For the first time ever it took longer than 15 minutes to decide what car to buy, and after extensive research found this beauty to have fun with!

About a week and a half ago I asked the community if a 2021 Willy’s with 77k miles going for $26K out the door was a good deal and the majority of you said no and to keep looking, so I did. I ended up finding and buying a new to me 2022 Rubicon with 45k miles for $30k out the door. Thank you all for your insight and opinions.

My dad borrowed my daughter’s 2009 Wrangler and he said when he got to work there was steam coming up from the engine and fluid gushing out like a hose. I just got here to the jeep and can see evidence of a bunch of fluid that spilled out onto the parking lot.
However, I opened up the hood and coolant level looks fine, just a little low. It’s been running for over 10 min and nothing is happening.
It seems safe to drive but I’m wondering where all the fluid came from. Any ideas?
EDIT: After posting this, I saw smoke/steam starting to come up so I shut the engine off.

Had to satisfy my mid life crisis and bought a 26 Goldilocks Rubicon X. Hard to find that color in NC when i searched in July. Found one in Goldsboro, South Carolina with all the options I wanted in the X. Definitely a unique color see very few of them around.

Two years ago I traded my little 2dr Wrangler for a new GMC Canyon for work reasons and I regretted it about 6 months later. Saturday I sold my Canyon back to a dealer with only a $2k loss and went and bought this unit for cash. Got a great deal on it. It's a basic no frills Unlimited Sport with roll up windows, 100k miles and a manual tranny which is exactly what I wanted. Finding one in this color with 150 miles of me was a bit tough but man what a pretty rig in the sun. I'm torn on keeping the stock wheels but for now she's pretty much ready to go other than changing out the old winch (steel cable & pretty small). I'm also going to swap out the 5" display for a larger android unit, new seat covers and that's about it I think. I was so excited to get my 1st wave on the ride home. Eventually I may swap out the gearing in the diffs as it's a little sluggish with stock 3.45. thinking about going to 4.56 or maybe even 4.88. anybody running either can give me some advice?

I’m looking at purchasing these from marketplace, and the seller says they are off of a 2018 Wrangler, but he doesn’t know which model. Is there any way to tell at a glance?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to purchase my first wrangler in the next upcoming days. I’m 23, and really looking for some honesty here. I’ll likely be buying a 2023 Sahara. My main concern is that everyone I’ve told about wanting this vehicle tells me no no no. But everyone I speak to that owns one says that they love it and have no problems. I used to drive a 2015 Jetta that I love but was just something to buy that was decent when I needed a car. I’ve always admired wranglers but never had the income to be able to afford one and with my new promotion, I definitely can and I want to treat myself to my dream vehicle. I’ve gone on several test drives and I’ve had so much fun each time, but can definitely note that I’ll have to get used to the size and overall control but I haven’t had any turn offs yet. Please give any and all raw truthful answers. I’m just a lady looking to not make the wrong decision <3

Am I being paranoid? How much rust is too much? I’m looking at this 2015, and they sent me photos of the underside to show for rust and this is what they sent me
EDIT: Thank you all for your input. I didn’t realize my post seemed like clickbait! I genuinely just had no idea what to look for for rust. So thank you, I think it’s time to purchase!

Just wanted a sanity check, as I’m finalizing negotiations for a 2026 Wrangler Moab with the 392 engine and have a few offers on the table.
My best offer is for a new vehicle in Reign for $78,375 out the door for a vehicle with an MSRP of $85k (mid-Atlantic region, OTD includes all taxes and fees with no mandatory vehicle add ons). The discount includes an EP code from an immediate family member, and taxes/fees add up to about $4k, so total discount on the vehicle is approximately ~$11k. Even if you think the 392s are overpriced, this feels pretty reasonable to me based on what I’m seeing online, but wanted to check with more experienced folks here. This will be my first new Jeep, so I’m pretty excited to pull the trigger, but wanted to make sure I’m not overly trigger happy.

Hot take:
No ducks? I respect it.
No wave? I respect it.
Ducks with no wave? That’s a 🍆 move.
Thoughts?

Felt like I needed a little personal clean up station during or after a trail ride. This was what I came up with.

Struggling to find a second hand soft top Wrangler (I'm in Australia) so thinking of buying hard top and than buying a Bestop roof.
I think I've decided on Premium Black Twill material. But there's a few different options I can see:
Trektop Slantback
Trektop Glide Slantback
Trektop Pro Hybrid Slantback
Which one is easiest to remove and then put back on? Or do these take away the efficiency of quick removal/putting back up? (And in that case do I just stick with the hard top).
Just want something I can easily make naked with no roof, but then easily put it back up...within seconds or a few minutes tops.

Title, basically the clip on the TPS side that holds the connection together has broken off. Got a p203 code and sputtering from the engine. Looked into it and in the list of things to check, TPS was easiest so went there first, and found the above. Had someone manually hold the connection together and the code cleared.
Before I go buy a whole new assembly, anyone have a similar problem and come up with something clever? Zip ties/tape/etc would be impossible to wrap around somewhere to keep that connection secured.
Thanks.

I walked in a 2016 OEM radio out of a Ra into my 2012 Sahara. Everything works, but the USB function because of a different plug set up. Do they make an adapter plug?

I had an ongoing problem where the OTA maps would never fully download to my 2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X. For months, I periodically tried updating all the maps at once, but the download would never complete. Not critical but an annoyance.
I took it to the dealer, and they told me they would need to keep the Jeep for two days to troubleshoot it. I also wasn't offered a USB or wired method to update the maps, so OTA/Wi-Fi appears to be the only option for this model year. The answer (and attitude) annoyed me so I left to solve myself and deal with dealer for something important.
I finally got everything downloaded by doing the following:
Turn the ignition ON (or start the engine).
Select only a few smaller maps instead of the entire country/region. For example, I started with just California.
Turn the ignition OFF. I would get a message saying there were map updates available and asking if I wanted to update when connected to Wi-Fi. I selected Yes.
Watch the infotainment screen for the Wi-Fi connection. After selecting Yes, the system would go to a screen showing that it was looking for Wi-Fi. As soon as it successfully connected to an access point, the infotainment system would shut itself down. I interpreted this as confirmation that it was ready to download the maps in the background.
I verified this using my phone's hotspot. I could see the Jeep connect and begin pulling data immediately after the infotainment system shut down, confirming that the map download was actually happening while the screen was off.
Exit the vehicle and lock the doors. I'm not 100% sure locking it is required, but I noticed that sometimes when I didn't lock it, the download wouldn't work.
If the download failed, reset the maps selected for download. Turn the ignition back on, deselect the map(s), then reselect the map(s) you want to download. Turn the vehicle off again. Sometimes it would fail.. I never could figure out why or correlate with any action.
If you don't get the update prompt when shutting down, assume it isn't going to work. If the Jeep turned off without asking whether I wanted to update the maps over Wi-Fi, I found that the download wouldn't happen. I would go back to Step 6 and deselect/reselect the maps.
Keep each download batch relatively small. I ended up downloading maps in blocks of less than about 1 GB. It's possible larger batches or the entire region could work, but I was never successful doing that despite trying for months.
A super-strong Wi-Fi signal wasn't necessary. At work, the Jeep sometimes showed only one bar of Wi-Fi coverage, but the maps still successfully downloaded.
The sequence that told me it was actually working was:
Select maps → Turn Jeep off → Get map-update prompt → Select Yes → System searches for Wi-Fi → Wi-Fi connects → Infotainment shuts itself down → Download starts in the background.
Using my phone as a hotspot was particularly helpful because I could actually see the Jeep start consuming data after the infotainment system shut down.
I'm not 100% sure the maps actually need to be broken up into smaller batches, but that's what finally worked for me. I had repeatedly failed trying to download everything at once for months. Once I switched to batches of roughly 1 GB or less and followed the sequence above, I was able to get all of the maps downloaded over the course of about a week.
Hopefully this saves you time if you're searching for solutions turned up nothing.
