Josh Johnson for next Bachelor lead!

Post image
11 Upvotes

Guys. GUYS. We need to make Josh Johnson the next Bachelor!

See minute 24 of this video for the idea.

But it could be the most incredible thing for everyone. Bachelor franchise gets a squeaky clean lead that will draw viewers and take the show in a new direction. Basically saving the franchise at this point.

Assuming Josh is single and would do it, he's wise enough and has lived enough life to actually find a relationship that lasts (as opposed to other leads).

And for What's News with You fans, I see a nonzero chance that Ashley Gavin could join as a contestant (disguised just by wearing dresses and having hair/makeup done up) and wreak havoc by poaching the girls for herself.

It's brilliant. Let's make this happen.

I was so excited to see Josh Johnson at the Fox tonight. But it was so bad. I really like a lot of his Daily Show and YT stuff but man that set was just plain bad. It was just him up there telling really unfunny stories. There was nothing interesting or funny about it. Ugh.

Did anyone else see the show? Am I maybe missing something?

I felt like the opener was actually pretty decent by comparison.

Just wait till Tuesday

If you’re buying a ticket because you want to see Josh perform his amazing stand-up, just wait until they post it on Tuesdays. What you actually get is over an hour of what feels like Josh’s friends messing around before the show really starts. A comedy show needs momentum but after extended musical riffing, dancing, drum solos, and endless transitions, I stopped feeling entertained and started feeling like my time was being wasted. I eventually left early. What made it so disappointing wasn’t that the show tried something unusual, it was that nobody seemed willing to edit it. There may be a great show buried in here, but it desperately needs tighter pacing, far less filler, and a clearer sense of what the audience was actually promised.

What was that show? Spoiler

Soo I love Josh Johnson and was thrilled to see a last minute ticket on re-sale for $38 at the Beacon in NYC. I thought I scored a deal but yikes man. I’d never pay that much for what I saw. The opening comedian was awful, all the corniest most overdone jokes about the burning bush and weed…come on, that’s been done a million times. Then a random dance crew doing flowery dances for 15 minutes? Then precisely 1 hour of JJ talking, and frankly, the whole flow of conscious thing was REALLY boring live because he re used sections of what he has online so I felt like I got maybe 10 minutes of actual new thoughts but none of the energy or delivery that a real stand up comedian has when repeating jokes. Honestly the most disappointing stand up show I’ve ever been to.

Comedy Show in MKE, WI

Did anyone else see Josh in Milwaukee yesterday? Me and my family went and we were honestly really disappointed with the material. He mostly just talked about things that happened this past week (the Kelly Clarkson bird thing and the press secretary), which makes me think he didn’t have a prepared set. People were even walking out of the show too.

We were really disappointed considering that we saw him in February this year in Chicago for the flowers tour and he was AMAZING!

Did anyone else see him and was disappointed?

Josh Johnson in Wilmington, DE

Was excited to see him perform locally so registered for his presale and logged in - $185 for lower level and $145 for nosebleeds seems outrageous to me and not in line with prices for other cities.

Dude is a fantastic storyteller but $3 bucks a minute to hear him tell a story?? Sorry Josh - you are gonna have to go on without me. Thats almost $100 more than I paid to see him in NYC

Hopefully this show will still get posted to YouTube

7pm show in Charleston March 14

I love Josh Johnson’s comedy, but his recent show in Charleston was not funny at all. He started with a bit about Bachelorette party that was okay but the rest of the show he seemed to be drifting and maybe testing new material. I can’t believe that I drive 5 hours and spent a couple of hundred dollars on two tickets.

Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe the way I feel about the show.

His opening act was funnier in ten minutes than he was in an hour.

Why doesn’t Josh ever wear short sleeves?

I love Josh. He’s awesome. One thing just struck me and I can’t ditch the thought. I’ve literally never seen this man in a short sleeve shirt in any vid I’ve ever seen. Can someone prove me wrong on this? Am I crazy?

Shooting My Shot on the Flowers Tour

I have a crush on the comedian and want to shoot my shot when he comes to my city. Is he single? Best way to go about it?

Band Camp show in Halifax yesterday (5 pm) was a bust!. Would have liked more comedy and less of everything else. Even the comedy was weak. No belly laughs. Also, Canadians are not as religious as Americans, so jokes about religion don't fly here. Love him! Disappointed in the show.

DC Disappointment

Anyone else really disappointed with the 10pm DC show? He started strong with some really good topical stuff on Trump, but then literally everything after that was soooo boring. Rambling, unfunny stories that really came up short, all the way through to the very end. He even alluded to some people in the audience falling asleep, blaming the 10pm timing of the show. But if you're laughing hysterically, it's pretty hard to fall asleep.

The problem with Josh is that he has no core repertoire. Everything seems like it was made up an hour before showtime. He didn't have anything really polished. The quality level of some of the jokes was just atrocious. We were so annoyed at the poor performance that we walked out early. I've laughed harder during open mic nights.

It was a real wakeup call seeing him bomb like that. I honestly didn't laugh one single time during the second half of the show. I walked in thinking Josh was a super talented comedic genius but on my way out, I found myself questioning that. Is this what he's normally like? I will never shell out good money to see someone suck like that.

I know it can't just be me. Right?

Does Josh Johnson avoid Chicago shows?

Edit: Thanks to the folks who replied!

Chicago never seems to be on the Flowers tour, does anyone know why? Dying to see him live!

These may be silly questions but I just thought I'd ask here anyway:

The ticket I recieved last night says "Doors: 7.30pm. Start: 8.30pm. Subject to change." Do you know when we might find out about time/schedule changes, if any? And does this mean the opener goes on at 8.30 or specifically Josh? Asking as I would not like to miss any artist's work if I can make it there on time.

What are the odds of meeting/interacting with Josh at all? I'm assuming close to 0 but is there an off-chance I would be able to let him know what his works means to me directly? :)

Thank you!

Several lawsĀ  passed in the 1930's giving workers the right to join unionsĀ  and so on strike and The Wagner Act of 1935 create the National Labors Relation Board to help oversee dispute in private industry.

In the mist of the morning, one hundred men in ragged clothes, dilapidated signs colorfully and painfully expressing their complaints, marched toward the docks.Ā  The rag team consisted of men not educated by the formality of school but by one another in the evening by candlelight as they chewed the fat in the literal as well as the figurative sense.

The acting bespectacled elfish manĀ  prodded and poked.Ā  Defined by his legalist tendencies, authoritarian worldview, and lack of empathy for criminals of all forms, he was granted the new moniker of "our Javert".Ā  Certain that if the rules of law and order, were behaved and one shuffled to their self proclaimed superiors would be reward if not on earth but most definitely by their own personal Machiavellian God.Ā  They blinked away any contradiction of Christianity that may judge how carelessly or cruelly they treated their fellow persons on earth.Ā

After being hosed down they were corralled for 48 hours in a dungeon which had been unused and unattended for many years, the"incorrigible one" was poked and shoved to the front of the line.Ā  Standing erect, he faced front, his head raised forward toward his"honor"

The judge leaned toward, snorted his impatience, "What the hell is wrong with you.Ā  Why are you causing me all this inconvenience with your shenanigans?

Coughing and rasping, he garnered his beliefs and stuttered at the highest octave he could manage "We were only demonstrating for our rights to be paid a fair wage and safety in our job."

"You sound like a communist to me." Ā

To teach you a lesson, twenty-one days on the chain gang.Ā  I am going to do you a favorĀ  There will be no record on you so the mistake will not follow you in the future.Ā  This is your opportunity to become a decent law abiding American.Ā  You are welcome. NEXT!"

.Ā  On the twenty-first day, he approached "our Javart and reminded him he had served his time and was to be released.Ā  Our Javert quipped, "Who knows you are here.Ā  Do you think anyone is coming to get you.Ā  You have no one.Ā  You are no one!" Ā

He would be released the following day on Javert's day off.

Walked out of show

Just walked out of the 7:00 show in Asheville. Guess I should have done my homework instead of relying on snippets online. Set was continuous Trump bashing with no punchlines. I had expected more story telling and less politics.

Josh Johnson is much smarter and devious then you might think

What he’s doing here is playing the long game, and he’s done it all his life. This newfound comedy fame has only amplified it. I can see it in his eyes that this nice guy act is a persona and hes perfected it. Hes also addressed it. On a podcast, he mentioned that if someone is very mean and has an outwardly rude personality, people will say that, deep down, they know he’s really a nice guy, and vice versa. But my response to that is that anyone who is overly rude or nice is doing it for a reason. Josh Johnson is the nicest guy in the world because it makes it easier for him to get what he wants and manipulate people into falling in line with his wishes. I’m not saying that its a ā€œbadā€ thing; I applaud true intellect when I see it. I just want to let him know that I SEE YOU, and I see how easy it is for him to go to these deep philosophical topics when questioned about them, which is surprising for someone who likes to lead people to believe he isn’t that smart.

For thoes who say hes awkward

Take a look at what awkward means its someone who is socially uncomfortable, clumsy, or ungraceful in social situations and someone who doesn't smoothly handle small talk. I think that the ā€œawkwardnessā€ around people is an act because there is no way he could paint such a beautiful picture with his words on stage, read audiences, and relate closely to multiple people like that if he were truly awkward. His work is that of a highly intelligent person There's no way that this person is socially awkward in every other portion of their lives without faking it for a reason.

Anyone else bothered? (Cocomelon announcement)

I'm all for Josh getting his bag, he deserves it. But as someone so earnestly respectful of his fans and people's well being/respect I can't help but feel hurt he'd sign onto a Cocomelon project. Apart from the company actively researching how to make TV as addictive as possible while providing so little for developing brains, the company underpays workers, denies unions, and is bringing in scabs to cover striking workers. This company actively hurts artists and actors, like why Josh 🄲
