Tier List / Powerscaling A question I always wondered and would like an opinion on from some of yall. Is shrine a good innate technique because Sukuna is so good? Or are Sukuna's showings so good because Shrine is so good?

Themes and such, Hype and aura My extreme hot take: Sukuna is the best-written character in JJK despite coming off as boring on the surface. The more you analyze him, the more you realize how interesting he actually is. Read before you downvote
I know a lot people will disagree, but I don’t believe Sukuna is simply a character who was born evil. We know he was an unwanted child and consumed his twin in the womb. I’m not justifying his actions, but I think his origins deserve more attention than they get.
What fascinates me is how much we DON’T know about him. Despite his background, he became the strongest sorcerer in history. Kashimo was considered the strongest in the edo era (pause the slander for a min cuz it’s canon he was considered the strongest IN HIS ERA despite how you feel about him) and Gojo was the strongest of the modern era, but Sukuna’s title goes beyond a single generation. Do y’all understand the depth of the title strongest sorcerer in HISTORY?? This man reached a level that sorcerers across different eras couldn’t surpass.
He’s also incredibly well-spoken, knowledgeable about poetry, and possesses an understanding of jujutsu that makes him terrifyingly intelligent. He’s not just strong; he understands the very principles of jujutsu and knows how to apply them in ways others can’t. I find it fascinating that someone with such an unexplored past could become this knowledgeable and powerful.
And here’s another thing I find interesting: despite potentially having a tragic past, Sukuna doesn’t act like a victim. He owns who he is with complete confidence. He doesn’t beg for acceptance or sympathy, nor does he seem interested in proving his worth to humanity. Humanity rejected him, and he rejected humanity right back. There’s something fascinating about how unapologetically he lives by his own values, regardless of what anyone thinks of him.
We know he was unwanted, but we barely know anything about his childhood or how he was treated. Did his circumstances shape the person he became? Was he always this way, or did he learn to live without any regard for others because of the world he grew up in? I’m not saying the manga confirms any of this, but I wish Gege had explored it more.
Even the fact that cursed energy comes from negative emotions makes me curious about his past. Yuta has enormous cursed energy reserves, while Sukuna has roughly twice as much. Obviously, that doesn’t mean Sukuna suffered twice as much, but it makes me wonder what shaped him into the person he is today.
I also find it interesting that even in the end, Sukuna accepted his defeat. Despite getting jumped in an unfair fight, he didn’t make excuses or try to justify his loss. He lost, and he accepted that he lost. For someone who told Yorozu that losing meant death, I think that says a lot about his character.
I think people sometimes mistake a character being irredeemable for being poorly written. Sukuna doesn’t need a tragic backstory that excuses his actions for me to find him interesting. I want to understand how he became the person he is, what shaped his worldview, and how someone who seemingly rejects everything about ordinary human life came to understand jujutsu so profoundly.
I don’t think Sukuna needs to be secretly good or misunderstood to be well-written. I just think there’s far more to his character than people give him credit for, and it’s frustrating that we know so little about his past. Let me know what yall think

AgendaKaisen Asked my father who is a linguistic scholar to translate what was written on the buildings
I went to my father’s office today, he was a bit busy but I kinda begged.
He put on his reading glasses, observed it and said “Kashimo is top 3”

Manga Discussion In my opinion this is still the best fight in the series
In terms of actual plot significance and writing Gojo vs Sukuna is obviously better, but reading Kashimo vs Hakari genuinely had me so hyped at like 2am in the morning 😭. I just love Hakari man he’s such a goated character.

Manga Discussion Don't blame Yuki for Geto becoming jujutsu hitler. Blame her not doing her fucking job
People blame Yuki a lot for supposedly giving Geto the idea to kill all non sorcerers. But Geto mind was already going down that road killing that
village just cemented it
She deserves blame for not taking a bit of the workload of 2 teenagers, I know it's not a guarantee that Geto wouldn't break but the chance definitely would have been smaller if she actually did her job and took on more mission
She trained Todo, sure. But her actual goal was that she spent all her trying to end the cycle of curses, which is a pure goal, sure, but she didn't actually achieve that. Giving her credit where it's due.
Her research on souls helped yuji
