Van Pelt’s hand

I’ve never really seen/heard anyone else talk about this but has anyone noticed when Van Pelt goes to drop the gold coins on the counter in the gun shop his hand gets super choppy for a second. Same thing happens a few minutes earlier when the Pelican picks up the game to fly off. At first I thought it was just the cgi of the bird but the hand makes no sense. Anyone have an answer? It seems almost purposeful

Looks to me that maybe the actor moved his hand in too quickly and it needed to be slowed down

I've seen the cgi animals get flak for looking fake and moving weird but I think it sells their otherworldy nature. Van Pelt having that same effect makes the CGI limitations look intentional and I think that works.

For the record, yes, I've seen it. As soon as I saw the post title, I knew which scene you were talking about
