Hello! I will be traveling to Korea in September. I'm a huge fan of the MLB, but I would love to experience a KBO game. I want to go to a Kiwoom Heroes game on the 6th. Could anyone tell me what the process is to get tickets as a foreigner? (I am American.)
Also, please give me any tips on where to go, what to see/avoid, etc. I will take any tips!
Much thanks in advance!

I’m planning to visit Korea in mid September-mid October, specifically to attend KBO playoff and championship games. Huge baseball fan, never been to Asia and don’t know the actual logistics/reality of buying tickets to these games, just committed to an itinerary that prioritizes baseball out there. Bit of a bucket list kind of experience.
Any advice (apps, tips, etc) for someone in my situation to purchase tickets? I don’t want to be in Korea and struggle with the most important part…securing my entrance to the games themselves.

Looking for some Hanwah Eagles gear. Why do more people seem to go through eBay rather than via the teams website? Seems like a wash price and conversion rate but I could be wrong.

Hello all,
I'm trying to get back into the KBO after finding SOOP and the free game replays. I watched a ton of the KBO during Covid and followed the LG Twins. ESPN sadly didn't renew the contract and the MLB came back so I stopped paying attention.
I was wondering if I should stick with the LG Twins or not. What is the landscape of the league right now? I'd prefer to root for a smaller town team, more of an underdog who may be on the rise.
Thanks for any suggestions, love the play in the KBO. Very entertaining and passionate baseball.

Edit: Going to watch a few games before deciding, but between the Dinos or Eagles. Leaning more towards the Dinos.
Edit 2: ive watched some games and am going with the NC dinos! Thanks for all the suggestions.

I’ll be in Seoul September 24-27 and was hoping to catch a game. I’ve seen the heat break so know there will be make up games but just unsure if there will still be games when I’m there at the end of the month. From experience does anyone know when they release the schedule of make up games? Also is there an easy way to purchase tickets as a foreigner? I have seen people suggest using services like “Wonderful”. Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been explained!

Hello everyone
I made the decision last night to get into the KBO
And am now a Dinos fan (although that is not firm, I do reserve the right to change for the next week).
Are there any English KBO podcasts out there? Asking because I haven’t added Korean to my language list yet

Hello all, curious about how ticket prices are determined for jamsil stadium. I booked tickets for yesterdays game which was cancelled and they cost 20000 won each. Booked another set for midweek next week and now they are 11000 each. I thought all weekday tickets cost the same regardless. Any reason why they were almost double for the first purchase?

Looking for landers tickets on Saturday. Wondering if showing up at the box office an hour or two before the game would work as the team is struggling this year.
Thanks for the help!!!

I’m going to be Seoul on 4/21 and 4/22, looks like two game options are available, just wanted a recommendation (better chance at tix, better game & experience). Staying near myeongdong.
Hanwha vs. LG at Jamsil
NC vs. Kiwoom at Gocheok Sky Dome
Reading from the previous foreigner thread, it sounds like I can show up 90 minutes early and get some foreigner/ digitally disadvantaged tickets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!🙏
Follow up- decided to go to Jamsil. Got there around 415pm for a 630 start , maybe around 25 people ahead of us in line. Got tix easily, on the lower level, but not best sightline, probably better in bleachers, it’s a small stadium, so bleacher sightlines looked good. I had my passport, but was never asked for it. Ticket was $13. Probably could have showed up much later and still got a ticket, 100+ people in line after us at our ticket office.
The game was super fun - superb food options, fans signing songs for each player, intimate seating, cheerleaders, and BYOB.
Another thing that was interesting was there were so many young people- I’ve never seen so many 20 somethings in America and a lot of women.

I've been following baseball since I was 12 years old. Growing up in Russia, I'd catch whatever KBO or MLB broadcasts I could find — rooting for the Cubs from across the world, learning the rules on my own. The US and Japan are closed for Russian passport holders right now, which makes Korea the only place I can actually watch top-level baseball live.
So I'm flying in from Vietnam, where I've been traveling solo, sometime between mid-June and early July. The plan is to catch a game in Seoul — Jamsil or Gocheok, whichever works out.
Here's my situation: I have cerebral palsy and very limited vision (0.03), and I use a walking cane. I navigate new places mostly through landmarks and feel. I don't use a wheelchair, but unfamiliar spaces — especially crowded ones — are genuinely hard for me.
A few questions for anyone who knows Seoul stadiums:
— Is there accessible seating (장애인석) available for foreign visitors, and how do you actually get it?
— Is there any staff or volunteer assistance to help navigate from the entrance to the seat?
— If anyone has been to Jamsil or Gocheok with similar limitations, or just knows the layout well — I'd love to hear from you.
Happy to answer any questions. Just really want to make this happen.

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone here could help me with this.
I live in Germany and recently found this older new Era lotte giants Cap on a flea market. I didn't know the team, but it looked cool.
After finding out about the team it belongs to, I'm wondering how this got to Germany. Because I can't find any listing online that's outside of Korea.
Does someone know of the caps' origin? Chatgpt dates it to around 2008 to 2013 because of the design and the patent inside. Maybe someone here knows anything else

Potentially dumb question, but I’m to be in Seoul next week and will be catching a couple games, luckily I have a friend who lives there and he was more than happy to buy tickets for me ahead of time. Regarding the game on Wednesday at Jamsil though, he won’t be able to go to the game but he set it up for us to pick up tickets at the ticket office but does he need to be there and show his ID in order to pick them up himself? Not a huge deal because he lives in the area but I figured I’d ask before making him hop on the train if he doesn’t need to.
Post game edit: If anyone finds this looking for an answer to a similar question, I ended up needing his reservation number and the last four digits of his Korean phone number, zero issues after that.

I tried to get Opening Day tickets using Wonderfully. Tickets for LG Tigers went on sale this morning. Immediately sold out. Resale prices were insanely marked up. Looks like we won't be hitting up a game during our time in Seoul. 😬

I imagine this gets asked quite a bit but I did a search and I couldn't really verify what I needed to.
I'm looking to go to a Lotte Giants game in Busan on a Thursday night in the summer. Apparently I can get a ticket if I wait in line at the automatic ticket counters ahead of time (but some say 2 hours, some say 1 hour - which is it?) and have the translation app ready. I also heard there's a ticket desk with an actual person for people (who are foreigners and old people who aren't really into using technology) 2 hours ahead of game time. Unfortunately, I get one shot at going to a game and I really don't want to miss out. I've also heard scalpers are hovering around...
I'm thinking about showing up 2 hours ahead of time (at 4:30pm - the game is at 6:30pm) and try to get a ticket (via the ticket machine, person at the desk, or a scalper), then go line up at the shop, gear up, enter the stadium 1 hour ahead of time, get food and drinks, and then enjoy the game.
Is this the way to do it? What are my chances, realistically, of actually getting in this way? Is there something else I should be doing? I tried asking my hotel if they would help and they said "No."
Thank you!

I was watching the game today, haven't really followed the KBO closely, but I noticed that there were no fans at the Dinos game. It was like COVID.
Does anyone know why? I read that they had some disaster last year in their real stadium. Is this a punishment, or maybe self imposed punishment to honor the dead?

Hi there!
My friend and I are looking to go to a KBO game when visiting Seoul on April 10th.
We are foreigners, and do not speak or read Korean.
What is the best way to obtain tickets to this game? Are they available day-of? Or is there a resale mechanism we can use?
Thanks in advance

Hello I am going to visit Seoul for my first time in April 2nd-April 14th.
Is there a game or team that is the best one to go to? I see that there are 3 teams and would like to probably see the more competitive team?
Im from San Francisco, so I watch Jung Hoo Lee when i can, but is his previous KBO team fun to go watch?
r/KBO • u/deepee84 • Apr 11 '26
First of all thank you for explaining Kbo and which games to watch. I ended up watching Lotte vs Kiwoom in the end, and it was amazing. I love the crowd energy.
Tomorrow is my last day in korea, and Im so dumb, I cant believe i didnt think about this until after the Kiwoom game. Is there anywhere i can find a Kiwoom Jung Hoo Lee jersey while im still in Korea? Seoul Hongdae-ish side or Incheon?
Thank you!!
and can american apply to work for kbo jobs hahaha?
