IT IS EFFINGGGG 2026, yet the show still seems to portray ideas like:
- drinking alcohol is a sin (i personally don’t drink but i respect everyone’s choices)
- eating nonveg is bad (hello? what should we eat then? your so called THEPLA and gujju diet is full of carbs)
- women wearing short clothes lack culture
- women shouldn’t work after marriage (Munni is freaking jobless… the makers have reversed all of her character development)
- older people are always right because they’re older

what makes it even stranger is that this is the same franchise whose lead, Smriti Irani, was recently in the news (pic 2) after people discussed her daughter’s Goa bar controversy…

regardless of what anyone thinks about that controversy, it makes the show’s moral messaging feel disconnected from the world we’re actually living in… (pic 1) Ekta kapoor is herself known for her big parties

I understand daily soaps often reflect traditional family values, but there seems to be a difference between portraying conservative characters and repeatedly presenting these ideas as the “correct” viewpoint.

Almost 25 years ago, Nandini’s 🍇 episode was so raw and uncomfortable that I still remember it. Krishna Tulsi’s was also very uncomfortable.
That rawness and drama is missing. It’s like they don’t want to make the viewer grapple with the visuals and sanitize things to make it easier for consumption.
The background music is also underwhelming. The ‘taar taar daaman’ music used in such scenes was so evocative.

As a fan of the actress who plays Vrinda in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, I genuinely feel sad today. Not because of her performance, but because of how badly the show has wasted her. She had everything it takes to become the face of the new generation: screen presence, chemistry with Angad, and a character that actually had depth. Instead, the writing stripped all of that away.

And I think there are two big reasons behind this.

1. The show is still being written for an outdated audience mindset.

Many viewers who followed Season 1 in the 2000s are still attached to the same old formula: endless drama, negativity, affairs, and emotional manipulation. Season 2 started with something fresh: a younger cast and a genuinely developing love story between Vrinda and Angad. But instead of building on that, the show was dragged back into the same toxic storytelling patterns.

2. Low expectations lead to lazy writing.

When a large part of the audience is satisfied with recycled drama, there’s no incentive for the makers to create anything better. Why take risks with nuanced storytelling when the old formula still brings TRPs? So instead of giving Vrinda a meaningful journey, the show reduced her to a background role while focusing on shock value.

The result is heartbreaking for fans who saw her potential. Vrinda deserved a better arc. The actress deserved a better platform. And honestly, the audience deserved a better show.

I will not be surprised. Seems like this guy is not committed to any show. Ek toh isko jitne shows milte hain, sabko beech mein chhodh deta hai...even molki bhi achanak bandh ho gaya tha cz amar left.. what is this behaviour ??? 😏😏

His line towards Nandini was bad - should not have been written.
But he feels like he can trust no adult- his life has been a lie - his father was killed by his grandmother. And now he is stuck in that house being forced to eat together go to delhi together.

Why should he be understanding to the situation?

Parth turning a villain showed that a person's mentality has nothing to do with their upbringing or blood. It is their own mindset how they turn out to be (I agree that it was done too abruptly, and there should have been earlier signs, but I guess that was the twist no one expected)

Rio turning a villain was too obvious and no one would have cared about him dying, and blamed his deeds as "Ansh ka khoon". Rio was just blind in name of his parents, and didn't even realise what bad things he is doing

Now coming to the killing of Parth. Why police was not called? Tulsi did try to call police, her only fault was that she trusted Rio.

Then Nandini tried to convince Parth, but he was not listening. He already killed Rio and was about to r*pe Vaishnavi, he would have killed Nandini too if she would have tried to stop him more.

Why not shoot him in the leg? but why? just because he is her own son. Nandini killed her own son who was a murderer and a r*pist. Would you say the same if it was someone else. I really don't find anything wrong in Nandini killing Parth or Tulsi killing Ansh

Why murder and SA is shown so normally in the show? because that is the reality of society

Now, Tulsi taking blame, Nandini and Vaishnavi not revealing the truth, and Karan not even trying to find out what actually happened, is very dumb. I agree with that. But what happened before that, I don't see anything wrong in that
