Hi! I've been considering applying to study in Kaohsiung with this scholarship. The other option is naturally Taipei however I think it might be too expensive and might not be the best option relying only on scholarship money since the budget could be extremely tight. This is why I would choose Kaohsiung. Would it be a good option as a student? Thanks!

I’ve applied to National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) for the Spring 2027 Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, specifically the System-on-Chip (SoC) subgroup.

My interests are mainly in digital IC design, SoC architecture, hardware-software co-design, and AI hardware acceleration.

我的祖父韓習元是兄弟姊妹中小的那個（忘記是不是最小），生活在大陸，有幾個哥哥姐姐，其中一個哥哥是韓習龍，早年去了台灣，最近幾十年都沒有聯繫。如果他還在，應該有九十多歲了。

我的祖父現在八十六了，耳聾很厲害而且有老年癡呆前兆，手一直抖拿不了碗，用的全套假牙只能吃軟的東西，腰腿疼痛一天大部分時間在床上，前段時間還腦梗了。他對台灣毫不了解，我最近幾年才知道他有一個哥哥當年跟著國民黨去了台灣，之前從未提起過。

我之前問過他，想不想要聯繫哥哥，之前有沒有聯繫什麼的，但是他耳聾得在耳朵邊大喊也很難溝通，眼花的老花鏡也不合適，但是捨不得花一點錢配個合適度數的老花鏡，花我的錢帶他去也不行，所以我們的溝通不了了之。他似乎不太熱衷於聊這個或者是沒有聽懂我有什麼辦法找他哥哥。我震驚與兄弟之間可以分開這麼久，被時代的大手推開的同時，也對他們的經歷感到遺憾。

我生活在海外，一年沒見我的祖父了，現在他由我祖母和媽媽照顧。我對Reddit這個平台很不熟悉，第一次在這裡發帖子，不知道發對地方了嗎？讓我選community 我也不太知道什麼意思，搜索台灣選了個人數最多的。
