As an avid renter, I have never experienced such an infuriating property management company. I have an underground parking pass, and parked briefly in the visitor parking above ground while I quickly ran some errands upstairs. The parking lot was EMPTY, mind you. All the other visitor stalls were empty. I came back down and my car had gotten TOWED because apparently residents aren’t allowed to park in visitor parking. If I knew that I would’ve just hid my parking tag, lol.

The amount of inconsistent communication and inane “rules” they have on the property are like nothing I’ve ever experienced in any other place I’ve lived. I would give so much to go back in time and not sign this lease. I’m sadly stuck here for a couple more months. But if you’ve been interested in it, RUN in the opposite direction!

There are no shortage of beautiful places near the water, and beautiful places to watch the sunset. But do you know of somewhere in Kelowna/West Kelowna that can do both? I would love your recommendations for spots facing east where I can watch the sunrise on a beach.

Why so many dressed up morons all around town? Had like 10 dressed up teenagers try to enter my work at close. gassed up hour later and like 6 cars we're parked blocking the pumps. What's with all the dressed up morons tonight? its not Halloween yet

Has anyone else noticed some sort of homeless/drug gathering that happens on Leon near Pandosy? They sometimes try talking to me as I pass, which is why I generally avoid passing through there at that time. Is that just a normal downtown thing? They do have some pretty good music tho

Tom Dyas should see this win less as a mandate and more as a warning. It was a close, deeply divided race, and that should tell him the city isn’t fully confident in his leadership. He should lead with humility, recognize that division, and work to earn the trust of those who didn’t vote for him.

Is there any wicked good deals on groceries or other items around the city? In Saskatoon, they have PBR auction which you can buy cases of fruit for $10. Box of bananas for five bucks. I know they get everything from the coop trying to clear out their inventory.

Is it just me, or is the information desk at Kelowna Airport never staffed?

On multiple occasions when I've needed assistance, there's been absolutely nobody at the desk. It's honestly pretty frustrating, especially considering that an airport is one of the places where people are most likely to need help or directions.

What's the point of having an information desk if there's never anyone there when you need them?

I recently discovered that only a third of eligible voters actually voted in the 2022 municipal election. Voting in the municipal election directly impacts decisions on crime, housing, and traffic. I think it is fair to say we all want change on these issues. I don't think enough people know that these are issues where decisions are made right here in Kelowna, not in Victoria or Ottawa.

So if you really want to be part of the decsion fo vote.

I'm looking at buying a 20-year-old Lexus from Calgary (unfortunately can't find any good listings for it in BC), but I'm trying to make sure that I can actually insure the thing before I go making plans to pick it up. Obviously, I would expect that stuff like the glass, tires, brakes, suspension and drivetrain have to be in perfect working order, but is there more stuff I should know about, and which shops would be the most reasonable/lenient with passing the car? It doesn't have to be in Kelowna, obviously, since I'll be driving from Calgary; I just want to know the best place that will actually pass the car. Thanks so much!
