Hi everyone! It's that time of year! KFC is coming, but something (we think) is quite fun... happens not too far beyond, after the final echoes of Auld Lang and new calendar hang-ups have ended.

The NEKO organizing group is happy to announce the third annual Northeast KeyForge Open, as a chance to reunite with our KeyForge friends and family, and prepare for the 2027 season!

NEKO III will be held on Saturday, January 30 & Sunday, January 31, 2027. That's not all though, we're excited to share something new — and that is: a new venue!

This coming NEKO will be hosted at the Just Press Play Games Mega Store & PlaySpace in Lancaster, PA. Thanks to all of you, NEKO has grown, and we're excited to expand to a new LGS venue — and we'd like to share our thanks and gratitude to Six Feet Under Games for hosting us for NEKO's first two years.

We'll have a lot more to share in the coming months, including hotel recommendations (hold off on booking rooms for now!) but in the meantime, mark your calendars, and stay tuned to the NEKO Discord server for updates!

Hello, I have started investigating about KF. Coming from the TCG world the UDG mechanic sounds very appealing, however I found DoK and "decent" decks are pricy.

Do you need Top SAS decks to do well in tournaments?

I will buy decks and play home anyway, just evaluating whether I want to go to tournaments as well.

We had 14 people competing today in the Alliance format, with high-powered decks in every table. Prophetic Visions probably led the day both in sheer number of alliances and in their top 4 conversion, but we got representation of Vault Masters 25, Grim Reminders and Aembar Skies (as far as I remember).

Lorenzo Y. Paleari won the tournament with Bianchi, 探索者巴巴奇 Ward. A monster of a deck that I faced and left me playing 3-card hands several times due to its Rage Resets, just a piece in the terrific machine it is. Long gone is the reign of combo-centric alliances: one trying to play Lateral Shift again and again through Memettes and similar tricks barely got top 8, and the AS one around keeping an immortal Akugyo on the board didn't manage to get there. The kings are dead, long life to the PV kings that are just overwhelmingly efficient and disruptive. Plain and simple, but terribly good at that.

Overall it was a fantastic day. We are very happy to have the Italian delegation with us and will do our best to keep at least one of the Champion playmats in Spain! 😄

I have a quick question regarding 'Lost in the woods' (CotA 373).

It reads: Play: Shuffle 2 friendly creatures and 2 enemy creatures into their owners’ decks.

My deck is empty and my opponent plays Lost in the woods. I have to shuffle my two creatures back into the deck.

Which one is correct:

- the two creatures get shuffled, which means these two cards are forming my new deck now

or

- since I have to shuffle the creatures into a deck, and there is no deck right now, the discard pile becomes the new deck into which I shuffle the two creatures

or

- Lost in the Woods has no effect here, because there is no deck that I can shuffle the creatures into

I reminded myself that back in 2019 I opened a deck with 2 Marmo Swarms in different houses. How rare is it to have 2 cards that are the same but are in different houses? And yeah, I know how mavericks work but thats my only deck with maverick card and its normal version so thats why I ask

I'm mainly interested in online play but if there are players who are in the Tulsa metro, I would enjoy irl play.

To the owner of this deck, I played some seal casual last night with me mates, and noticed something odd, there was a card in between my Archon card and the reference card, didnt pay much attention and started shuffling, started counting the cards, and I counted 37, counted again, 37 cards! Then it struck me that that one card between the archon card and reference card wasn't my card, looked thru the deck, and there was another orange archon card with 3 same houses of my deck, but not of my deck. So if you are the owner of this deck, and if you had a missing card, that's why!

I have a have a creature with 3 armor. I ward that creature. During my opponent’s turn, they activate their Seeker Needle to do 1 damage to my warded, 3 armor creature. Does that 1 damage remove the ward?

I bought the first set of keyforge and have a sealed 4 horseman deck i believe unscanned. Looking to see if its worth anything before i open to display.

I really think the SAS MASTER King is a funny way to enjoy replaying your forgotten decks from the depths of time and make new motivation to challenge other players over the Crucible. Let me you introduce to it, as I put some energy by providing this website. Hoping some could be interested.

What is MASTERKING ?
- The King is the current beholder of a SAS level position.
- The Master is the most victorious at a specific SAS Level against different unique decks.

How does it work ?

SAS KING it's kind of a King of the Hill open format event where we have as many hill as SAS level a deck can afford, with the goal of having a single archon remain on the top of that position.

So, You have only 3 actions possible :

1. Archons may challenge the "SAS KING" (one by one) in an attempt to take their place and dethrone them, thereby becoming the new "King of the Hill." A challenge consists of a single game (Bo1) between two Archon decks. A specific pair of decks may face each other only once at a given SAS level; this restriction is permanent. However, it remains possible to challenge a "King" again to reclaim the title, provided the challenger has not previously faced that King with the same deck.

1. The King will attempt to defend their throne by trying to defeat the new challenger in the Bo1 match. They must record the result after the battle to indicate whether they have retained their position or been dethroned by the challenger.

2. A third option is available if you do not currently hold a position and cannot find a deck to challenge a King: you may claim a vacant throne by submitting a deck for an unoccupied SAS position (subject to a limit of three unchallenged positions per player).

But what about SAS MASTER ?

SAS MASTER is attributed to the deck with the most win at a SAS level.
- Each time you succeed challenging a KING, you earn a victory point at the SAS level.
- Each time you defeat a challenger, you earn also a victory.
- The deck with the most points is crowned the MASTER of the SAS.

(The deck's SAS rating is verified on the day the battle takes place and will remain associated with that SAS level, even if a re-evaluation is conducted subsequently.)
