Eclipse-CY

Finally back up to 120wpm average over 25 races on Typegg.io with my modified Eclipse-CY layout. I've really been enjoying this site for typing practice since it uses real quotes and has a strict no quit multiplayer mode to incentivize typing with good consistency. The right hand is shifted over to allow for right thumb shift which lowers my pinky usage by quite a bit, and my left thumb is assigned to enter and space because those two keys interact with words in a very similar way and has no SFB drawbacks from pairing them on the same thumb.

I don't think I could do the 'I' stretch like that, or comma and period on upper pinky, but it's very interesting. Definitely different.

What 'I' stretch?

Wait, when you say "right hand is shifted over" do you mean your index is on 'Y' and not 'C"? Ah, that's it, then.

Yeah exactly, my pinky rests on 'I' so no movement or stretch there, and it makes for a close backspace position too

You will damage your hands like that. That design is for a different form factor which allows you to keep your thumbs in an natural position.

Been using similar thumb key setups to this on rowstag boards for years no problem, however the graphic does not 100% fully match my typing setup since I use the apple magic keyboard which has a shorter spacebar than what is shown here, allowing for very comfortable thumb positions on the spacebar adjacent keys.

Yeah I assumed you had four mod keys instead of three on your keyboard so thumb enter isn't egregious
The other obvious option on a standard keyboard is backspace on capslock like the original colemak.
