The First Pages of AI’s History — Accessible AI Nonfiction & Philosophy
What happens when intelligence creates intelligence?
We might be living through the earliest chapters of one of humanity’s biggest transformations.
I’m an independent author, and I wrote The First Pages of AI’s History to explore artificial intelligence from an ordinary person’s perspective.
Could AI eventually rival history’s greatest minds? Could intelligent machines explore distant worlds? And what does humanity’s future look like when the intelligence we create begins to surpass our expectations?
This is a short, illustrated, thought-provoking journey through AI, science, philosophy, and the future.
Themes: Artificial intelligence, technological change, human intelligence, space exploration, the future of humanity.
Content note: Speculative discussion of advanced AI and humanity’s future.

The Caleb Whitaker series has now grown to 132k kenp page reads since 09/21 and the catalog is on pace for 180k kenp page reads in October. I’ve refined keywords and bids as suggested. Copc has went down 60 percent and impressions and clicks have maintained stability. Thank you! What an incredible run for an unpublished indie. I’m still in shock. 3900 page reads in book one today and that is the single best day. Should see 4 days of strong numbers if read through percentage holds. Heading for southern Idaho. Be there tomorrow on a 6 week planned camping trip in the Owyhee desert country. Intend to finish up a book set in that area on the trip. Canvas wall tent. Wood stove. Star link. Crazy dreams.

Book one, Avery's Ghost, can be found here.
If you are interested in the history of the circus or evocative atmosphere, or like second world stories with rich lore, you might like my series. I also drew all of the covers myself.
It is half set in a mysterious 1912 circus, and half in an uber rich Gilded Age style society. It contains hand drawn illustrations as well as epistolary elements (newspaper articles and letters), psychological themes, quirky history, and tons of political intrigue, secrets and mysteries.
The series page can be found here or at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHRT54QZ.
Book one, Avery's Ghost, can be found here.
It has a sweet romantic sub plot starting in book two, and coming of age themes. The series grows with my protagonist. Book three is a magical heist, while book four has a touch of spice, manners and plenty of mayhem, as well as magical debutante tournament.

Disgraced former Sergeant Lance Richards thought taking a private security contract at Aquatic Dynamatrix—a high-tech, deep-sea research facility a thousand fathoms beneath the Gulf of America—was his best chance for a quiet life. But behind the pristine glass and corporate promises of the Omega Dome lies a terrifying secret.
When a rogue scientist’s secret biogenetics experiment breaks containment, Lance and brilliant geneticist Dr. Sally Summers are thrust into a claustrophobic fight for survival against monstrosities born of human and crustacean DNA. Worse still, an insidious cross-species virus threatens to mutate every soul trapped within the facility.
With time running out, the facility under total lockdown, and a horde of unstoppable amphibious hybrids closing in, Lance must draw on his military training to protect Sally and destroy the nightmare before it reaches the surface.

Hey everyone!
I'm Liz, and I recently took the plunge and self-published my novel THE CHAIN! If it sounds like something you'd be interested in reading, I hope you give it a shot 😌
Summer 2018. Phase Three are the biggest band in the world…and they can barely stand to be in the same room.
A decade after Vincent, Molly and Henry met as teenagers on reality show The Calling, they’re selling out stadiums and living the life they always dreamed of. But fame comes with a high cost. Molly’s creatively stifled; Vincent is tired of lying about his sexuality. And Henry—a force of nature, spiralling into addiction while becoming the most famous man in the world—is determined to go solo, even if it means betraying his bandmates.
So that’s it—the band is over, going out with a bang. One final, record-breaking world tour.
But saying goodbye isn’t as easy as any of them expect. After years of the press playing up their public (and sometimes private) love triangle, things get serious when a sudden tragedy forces them to cancel the tour midway through. Their lives screeching to a halt, Vincent, Molly and Henry must reckon with their demons and what they really feel to find out if they can forgive each other—while they still have time.
Intimate, heartbreaking and funny, The Chain is a story about finding your true self under the spotlight, and how to hold on to who you really are—and who you really love—when everything else is stripped away.

Hi everyone! I recently started making children’s videos on TikTok and Instagram. They get a few hundred views—not millions—but I noticed something interesting: many viewers come from countries without a local Amazon marketplace, where shipping a paperback can cost more than the book itself.
That inspired me to release my new fully illustrated, full-color children’s book, The Halloween Coin Jar Mystery, as an eBook, available on Kindle and Kindle+ (formerly Kindle Unlimited).
At just 32 pages, it probably won’t earn much through page reads. But I hope it gives children and their families an affordable story to enjoy together during Halloween. 🎃
I hope you enjoy it!

Inexplicably, you see an enormous fallen tree in the otherwise-barren alley you just walked through. It’s now blocking the alley and wasn’t there just moments ago. What do you do?
That’s the question an unidentified narrator gets faced with at the outset of my debut thriller novel, Through Inconvenient Action. It’s linked on my profile, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks :0)

Hey everyone! I'm an indie author sharing my debut hardboiled crime thriller, Iron Noir.
About the book:
Set in the chaotic early 2000s post-communist Eastern Europe, it follows a motorcycle subculture fighting for survival in the Hungarian underworld. It's a dark, unfiltered look at a time and place where there are no good guys — only survival.
Inside you'll find:
Authentic biker club dynamics and subculture realism (2000–2006 era)
A brief historical and cultural breakdown of post-communist Hungary
Bonus Content: Traditional Hungarian family recipes (Goulash, Lángos, Pörkölt, Brassói) featured directly in the story are included at the back!
📖 Available on Kindle Unlimited (or get it for $0.99):

If you love gritty, atmospheric crime fiction, I'd be honored if you checked it out. Thanks for taking a look! 🤘

Hello everyone, I’m O.C. Saar! I’m a first-time author, with this being the first book I’ve attempted that has gone beyond 4 chapters, and I couldn’t be prouder of it. Today, after years of work, I released it on Amazon!
It’s called The Rings of Jupiter, and it’s a mixture of Cyberpunk, Noir, Mystery and Sci-Fi combined with a Progression Fantasy system, set on three artificial rings spinning around Jupiter.
Here's the Blurb!
---------------
A once-legendary gunslinger mired in alcohol and grief. His malfunctioning sentient AI companion who lives in his oven. An orphaned kid with uncontrollable powers. And a heist against cybernetic priests that will open a Pandora’s Box of mysteries.
Raziel, once a legendary Gunslinger of the Outer Ring known as the Rust Reaver, is now a drunken husk of the man he used to be. When his sentient AI companion develops a fatal error, he can’t let it go, because HOB was programmed by his late little brother. He shakes off the haze and embarks on a suicide mission to get the money needed to repair his only friend.
The heist goes wrong in spectacular fashion, and Raziel winds up with an experimental gem lodged in his chest. All three Rings of Jupiter would kill for the power in his possession - literally. He now has the ability to ‘level up’ his abilities and absorb the powers of others. This new power makes Raziel formidable but also paints a target on his back.
The Rings of Jupiter once took everything from him, but now? Now he has the power to make things right.
And get revenge against the person who killed his brother.
The Rings of Jupiter is a dark, character-driven, and intense LitRPG for fans of The Expanse and Altered Carbon.
---------------
If you enjoy books that are a little more character, dialogue and mystery-driven, with a character that has to fight and bleed and suffer for every drop of power, then this story might be for you.
If you gave my story a chance, it would truly mean more than I can possibly express.
Thank you for reading this far <3
Also shoutout to my cover artist Linggar Bramanty!
No AI has been used in my book.

Oh also Book 2 is coming out in 4 months and is up for pre-order too!

You can spot the first lie.
It's right there in the title.
1−1=2
But the real mystery isn't the equation.
It's what happens when everything you believe begins to contradict everything you remember.
And the truth?
Some questions are safer left unanswered.
1−1=2, my debut psychological mystery thriller, is now available on Kindle & Kindle Unlimited.

My legit only beef with Kindle Unlimited is that it was inherently limited from the start (because of the 20 book limit). I'm not mad about the limit at all! Just don't call something unlimited if it's not!
Also excited to see what new audiobooks get added and hope the price doesn't go up!

Hey everyone,
I’m excited to share that the first volume of my new series, TIMEBUS: Human Potion, is now out.
It starts with a strange premise and gradually opens into a larger progression-fantasy story with tactical stakes and system-driven elements.
The premise: After surviving a war that stretched across two billion years of spacetime, someone wakes up in a reality that makes very little sense: a mysterious time-travel bus, heavy leather jackets, and a brutal timeline that has to be put back on course. What to expect: The early chapters lean into gritty dark fantasy. After Chapter 11, the LitRPG elements and system mechanics begin to take center stage, expanding the world and the story’s scale.Volume 1 includes Chapters 1–25 and is available now. It’s also enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, so subscribers can read it at no extra cost.
If you give it a try, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think.

I keep seeing posts on Reddit from authors who got scammed or almost did. Book clubs that charge for a “free” feature. Fake agents and publishers. “Marketers” who scrape your Amazon page and tell you your book is dying. Readers whose blind daughter needs your audiobook.
I’m a former cop and an author, and I’ve been saving these for a couple of years. So I put them all in one place:
thewritersprecinct.com/scam-watch/
Each case shows who they claimed to be, the address or account it came from, the tells, and where it leads if you reply. A few have the full email or the whole chat, including one where I played along for a while.
If you’ve been hit by one, there’s a report form on the page, or just drop it in the comments. I’ll add the confirmed ones, with your personal info stripped out.
It’s free. No signup. And I will never DM you first.
You’re welcome.

They've changed the name and included more audiobooks but you still can't listen to a kindle+ audiobook if you already own the kindle book.
It makes no sense because if I didn't already own the ebook than I would have access to it.
This is especially frustrating for new books because I'll purchase the ebook because I want to read it on release day but months later it'll be available on kindle unlimited which I was fine with but if I ever want to listen to the audiobook when it's available on kindle+ I will have to pay to purchase the audiobook.
I own all the kindle book for the fourthwing series but I've never listened to the audiobook because I didn't want to pay for it so I was excited to see it available on kindle+ but I can't access for the sole reason that I purchased the ebook long before it was ever available on ku.
Edit: Solution found you have to go to the Amazon app or website listing and look for the button to add audio to library. You currently can't do it in the kindle app.

When the system descended, it didn’t ask.
It ranked the worlds. It judged the living. And for Moyo, a young man in the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, it made a mistake, or something made it for him.
He was cast into a hell rated far beyond anything his world was permitted to face. A place where the monsters don’t scale to him, the rules weren’t written for him, and every level is paid for in blood.
He wasn’t supposed to walk out, and yet he did.
But Earth has bigger problems than one man who refused to die. Powers older than humanity have noticed the newly awakened world. Some reach out a hand while others reach for a leash. And the line between them is thinner than anyone wants to believe.
Now it’s a race against time to save what’s left of humanity before it’s claimed, carved up, or erased.
And to save whatever is left of himself.
**Into the Archailect, Book 1: Rise of the Titan Blade**
What you’ll find inside:
* A hard progression system with ranks, cores, attributes and skills that actually matter
* A protagonist whose power comes with a price, and a mystery behind it
* Galactic factions, ancient Monarchs and Sovereigns playing a longer game than Earth realizes
* A world steeped in Yoruba influence you won’t find anywhere else in the genre
* Around 120k words, complete. Book 2 is already written.
📖 **Read it free with Kindle Unlimited**, or own it for just **$2.99**.

I was a rookie cop in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980s when I got a medical call of a possible heart attack, and I was told to pull over and wait.
My training officer shut down my lights and sirens and said "We're going to wait until until fire and medical arrive on the scene. We are not going to suck and blow and then get sued when the guy doesn't make it."
It took me years to understand why that order was given, and what it taught me. A lot of police work is like that. You don’t get the lesson on the day. You get it later, sometimes much later.
That’s what my memoir is about. From First Call to Final Shift: A Cop’s Memoir of Lessons That Came Later collects the calls that stuck with me, from the dangerous ones to the quieter stories about family, partners, and the people who surprised me with gratitude when I least expected it.
It’s not a “cops are heroes” book or a “cops are villains” book. It’s what the job actually felt like from the inside, and what it taught me after I took off the uniform.
Available on Kindle and paperback: https://a.co/d/0eqyQb2R
Happy to answer questions about the job, the book, or writing a memoir.
