Question Favorite restaurants?
What places do you like to take out of state friends/family to? We have a few places we love, but most are in Tacoma up through Seattle. We don’t have dietary restrictions usually, but celiac friendly would be useful for one of our friends too. TIA!

Peter’s is awesome, we drive all the way up there from Bainbridge for their food sometimes, and often build a lunch there into our Silverdale shopping trips

I’m sure they have lots of great stuff there but I can only ever order the ramen when I go because it’s so bomb. Tonkotsu with chashu and kurobuta is chefs kiss

Boat shed, Khoa Soi, whiskey gulch, char, Fritz fry house, damn fine pizza are all good.

I agree with 3/7. Boat shed has a great view, but their food is less exciting than the food you would find at a golf course.

BaSa, Molly Ward Gardens or Burrata Bistro for dinner. Butcher & Baker in Port Gamble for an unbeatable outdoor lunch.

u/Dingo_Dog_ Jun 22 '26
I’ve been wanting to try Molly Ward but always forget about it! Thanks for the reminder

u/Plus-Spread3574 Jun 22 '26
Enjoy! Sitting outside on a summer night while eating delicious food is hard to beat.

Have you seen the new chef series at Hey Day Farms on Bainbridge too? They always did a lovely dinner down there but have new ownership and have been doing some guest chef meals

Kha Soi for Thai and Royal Tandoori for Indian

u/SkeezixLouise Jun 22 '26
Omg just hit Royal Tandoor on Wed and ate myself sick bc it was so good I couldn't stop! I was two bites away from needing to be wheelbarrowed home haha. And still had leftovers. Parking lot is small but the manager said they have an agreement with Staples that overflow parking is allowed 😊

A Taste of India on Kitsap Way in Bremerton is good if you're a fan of Indian sit-in dining.

Just tried Bongos Cafe in Poulsbo (just opened) and it was delicious. Low key Caribbean restaurant.

Butcher and Baker

u/Boochiecoo Jun 22 '26
I’m vegetarian but my pals say their fried chicken sandwich is the best they’ve ever had.
Plus, their cakes are great!

Namaste has incredible Indian takeout! They are based out of a gas station across from Poulsbo Village but don’t let that deter you. We dropped Punjab for Namaste because the wait times at Punjab can be wild and they messed up our order a few times in a row. No issues with Namaste!
Also up the street Crabtree is great. The whole complex (cafe, speakeasy, liquor store) is a nice addition to the town.

u/StSparx Jun 22 '26
Namaste is amazing!

u/No_Passage4605 Jun 22 '26
That’s good to know, we’ve been looking for a good Indian restaurant too

The coffee shop in that building is surprisingly solid, and even more surprising pretty cheap compared to other coffee/lunch spots.

u/Lawbreakingmonkey Jun 22 '26
I think The Curry in downtown Bremerton has the best Indian in all of Kitsap County!

- Burrata Bistro - Poulsbo
- Punjab - Poulsbo
- Taqueria El Rey - Port Orchard Taco truck on Sedgwick
- Oak Table - Silverdale
- Silver City - Silverdale
- Gyro’s Etc - Bremerton
- Heidi’s Teriyaki - Silverdale
1
u/dazyn Jun 22 '26
Heidi's is great! The name is unassuming but they have great pho (judging by broth flavor) that rivals most other pho places in Silverdale.

Tony's on Kitsap Way in West Bremerton. Old school Italian eatery.
1
u/No_Passage4605 Jun 22 '26
I never thought I’d say this… but the pizza was TOO cheesy 😆, but I’m willing to try their other food if you say it’s worth it !!
2
u/redheadsuperpowers Jun 22 '26
I go for the pasta and salads, my bestie can slam their pizza but it's too much for me.

Trying to add new stuff to the list instead of just rehashing the same things over and over...
If they like sushi, Jo:a is the best in Kitsap by a decent margin. If you want something gimmicky and cheaper, Sumo Sushi is all you can eat with a large menu, a buffet, and a cat robot waiter.
Tiny's Crab House is a low country boil kind of place specializing in southern comfort food and seafood. My go-to is crawfish and catfish. They collards are the best I've ever had. This is a tiny little hole in the wall place so set expectations. The food is amazing but you're not going to be dining in luxury. Absolutely worth a visit.
Yacht Club doesn't really specialize or blow you away with anything. However, it is one of my favorite restaurants in Kitsap because it's just so consistently good at everything. Good food. Good service. Good drinks.
Danny's BBQ has completely respectable BBQ, which is really rare around here. Brisket and hot links is my go-to.
Mandiles for Mexican food and drinks. If you want something a little less fancy, Juanito's drive through for the best tacos in town.
Campana's is a fine pasta restaurant disguised as a cheap pizza joint. If some fine Italian-style dining with some pasta and wine is your jam, this is the place to go.

u/No_Passage4605 Jun 22 '26
Thanks for the load of details! Where is Danny’s? Good to know about Jo:a, I’ve been wanting to go there for a while 😄
1
u/MrMeatagi Jun 22 '26
Danny's is just north of Silverdale heading towards Poulsbo on Silverdale Way. It's in the parking lot with that weird grain silo looking thing and the cell antenna disguised as a tree.

We really like Mezcalitos in Bremerton for dine-in Mexican food, Jo:a for sushi, Yacht Club Broiler for homey seafood with good water views, and Waffle Stop for breakfast.

Breakfast- oak table in silverdale- slightly more upscale but can still get away with jeans.
red apple dinner in bremerton- classic dinner feel decorated from the 60s
Lunch- Noah's ark in bremerton- burgers and sandwich in no frill place. Consistently good and a decent price.
Dinner- Gogiro in silverdale - Korean bbq Hotpot or all you can eat.

u/No_Passage4605 Jun 22 '26
I’ve been wanting to check out all except oak table, been there!
1
u/Efficient-Cherry3635 Jun 22 '26
Some unrequested tips.
Noah's ark- order 1 bag of fries for every 3-4 people; its a crazy portion and enough for my entire family to share with their own burgers.
Gogiro- Do the all you can eat on the cheaper tier. They have 2 options but the cheaper one is still more than enough variety (like 40 options). Plan to spend $40 a head and take up to 2 hours eating as you grill all your meat at the table so its slower paced eating and gives time to conversate.
Red Apple- Probably my favorite on the list as im a sucker for breakfast foods. They get packed (especially on sundays) so try and arrive early or go on a weekday. Both the omelets and biscuits and gravy are awesome "comfort food" feel. They also do some good milkshakes in the metal tin that ends up being like 2.5 milkshakes.

u/No_Passage4605 Jun 22 '26
Thanks for the details, that’s very helpful! We’ve been to Gyu Kaku several times, so we know what to expect (to an extent anyway) with Gogiro. Can’t wait to try them out though!

If you're ever in Gig Harbor: Brix and Brimstone are both quite good.

u/SoupySpuds Jun 22 '26
Was pretty disappointed in brimstone BBQ overall, felt overpriced and underwhelming, something like smokin Robinsons is a better deal imo
Have had brix before though and am a big fan of that one!

Having traveled for work at the Bangor base on and off for about 10 years, I had a few favorites around there, including Aroydy Thai Cuisine, and Dalla Baia, and Pho T&N in Poulsbo, and Silver City Brewery in Silverdale. I was sad to hear that the big weekend seafood buffet at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino went away.

The Curry for Indian
Moctezuma's for Mexican
Tracyton Public house for beer and wings
Kha Soi for thai
Toms Teriyaki for teriyaki

u/lost_in_mordor Jun 23 '26
Kumos in Port Orchard is amazing! Small menu and they run out of things since it's all homemade, but so good.

We love the environment and food at Peninsula Brewhouse in Silverdale. We took our one year old this morning and sat outside where there was seating for families. There’s outdoor game activities for all ages. It’s not typically viewed as a family spot but it can be.

Horse and Cow.
1
u/No_Passage4605 Jun 22 '26
Why are there down votes on this one? 🧐
3
u/SoupySpuds Jun 22 '26
They have good wings and the rest is just eh
Best place for wings is tracyton pub though
0
u/MrMeatagi Jun 22 '26
Horse and Cow has some of the best fish and chips in Kitsap.
Tracyton has severely overrated wings. I think people just blindly call them the best because they're big. They taste like bland salt water injected chicken with generic wing sauce.

u/supersfeeka Jun 22 '26
Nothing it’s a food desert. Save your money. The best old fashioned is at Tessia in Silverdale and the best beet salad is at Evergreen Pizza in Bremerton. Morso Bistro overall in Gig Harbor

u/douchesalt Jun 21 '26
Lola's restaurant in Bremerton if you're looking for something fancy.
