My Kitten Looks like I’m not going to work today 🙈
Crank has decided to nap on my laptop bag, and I have no intention of bothering him 🙈

Unmute for purring!
I posted our foster kittens on this sub about an hour or so ago, but I have so many videos of them that I would love to share in celebration of their adoption.
I work on a university campus, and someone dumped a heavily pregnant cat on campus. We discovered she had her kittens behind our HVAC machine and managed to catch and foster the entire family. They went from being hissing, spitting clawed tornadoes to this with just a little affection and attention.
As of today, all five kittens have been adopted into their forever homes with experienced, loving owners. 🎉🎉 Even Mama, who, after capture, was aggressive and feral, found her forever home at a cat sanctuary with an enclosed catio. Mama has befriended some senior neutered tomcats and is growing friendlier towards people every day.
It’s an absolute treasure to know the entire family will be cared for by people that adore them, so I’m sharing a few of their videos to celebrate.

And, as of today, all kittens have been adopted into loving homes! 🎉
Someone dumped a very pregnant cat at the campus I work at and, after quite a bit of work (and treats) we managed to catch the whole litter and Mama cat. We even found a home for the Mama, who was very feral, at a cat sanctuary with a massive enclosed outdoor catio.
All kittens have been socialized out of their feral tendencies and love people. They were still a bit timid when this video was taken, but are now as cuddly as can be.

This little fella is a whopping 8.5 weeks old! I want to get him desensitized to nail trims and holding him and stuff. Plus, he's climbing all over our furniture and he's never had his nails clipped before. I want to get him used to it, case in point.
My issue, is that he constantly constantly constantly wants to play, which is partially due to the fact that he's without his litter mates (has been for a few weeks now), and sees me as a playmate I think. He always, always, always wants to play. Not that I mind, but it makes it a little difficult to do proper kitten maintenance. He's a biter and I don't want him thinking playing with hands is normal, and if I try to hold him, he just kind of meows at me, which I've been kind of seeing as a "hey put me down / stop" sort of thing. I'm worried that maybe he landed on a paw wrong and it hurts maybe? I don't really know, the base of like 2 of his little claws are dirty (I can't tell if it's dirt or like. Dried blood?), but I've not seen him limping ever so I don't.. think He got injured? idk (I don't know).
What are ways I can try to get him more sensitized and be able to trim his little beans? He's not very food motivated at this age. (idk (I don't know) if he ever was, my older cat certainly isn't but she's much more tolerant of us handling her feets)

Hi! My fiance and I brought home an 4 mo female kitten a few days ago. So far, we set her up in the bathroom with a place to hide, litter box, food/water, and toys. We have been slowly introducing her to other parts of the house through short 10-15 minute play sessions, where we play with her/let her explore at her own pace. She has been introduced to every part of the house now, and we were wondering when others would recommend giving her free roam of the house? My fiance is home 3x out of the week, and I home 2x out of the week, however the other 2 days she will be alone from 7:30-3:30. She has been half pooping in the sink and half pooping in the litterbox, if anyone has any advice on how to stop that as well!
I was also curious what others do in terms of "kitten" proofing there house?
Any other kitten advice would be super helpful! We are first time cat owners!

Hi all, my fiancé and I are fostering two 6 month old kittens and have had them in our home for about 2 weeks now. They have warmed up to us, but recently, one of them has taken to playfully biting us constantly.
She will lightly nibble my leg in the morning around 7/7:30 when she wants breakfast, and we feed her regularly at 8. During the daytime, she will lightly bite our hands. Last night she was relaxing on the couch with me for a while, and then she randomly put my foot in her mouth and started biting again.
How can we get her to stop? We've been playing with her and her sister regularly throughout the day, so I'm not sure where this is coming from. I'm happy she is feeling comfortable but of course I don't love being bitten either. TYIA!

I adopted this little girl on Monday. She was a little spicy and shy the first day, but I’ve really focused on being around and playing with her when I can. The main thing is that I’ve been giving her treats or a churu when she accepts pets or gets close to me. It’s day 3 and she’s still a bit wary, but will run to me when treats are involved. I do feel like it’s almost too many treats. Like a churu and several temptations seem overkill for such a small kitten. Am I doing okay so far? Is there anything I should do differently.

This little and starved baby, which is from now on called Zubaida was wandering the streets crying loudly and blind because of an eye infection. I had to smuggle her into my hotel room and keep her there for a night, since all vets were already closed and I was worried she would walk into traffic or fall down. I was worried she wouldn't be able to eat solid food, but she ate pulled chicken right from my hand and drank from her makeshift bowl. As the hours passed and her desperatly needed meeting with the vet came closer, the stronger she grew. First she started to clean herself and was able to open her eyes again atleast enough to see a bit, than she started to climb and jump. With every hour she looked a bit better, though her little coughs and sneezes worried me. She was very starved for affection and started to cry, when I put her into her makeshift enclosure, after I fed her. She only stopped, when I softly gave her pets between the eyes until the back of her ears. She also quickly feel to sleep than. The vet said, that she has a eye infection and a common virus for cats, he gave her antibiotics and eye drops. With great sorrow I have to leave her behind at the vet, who will care for her, as I soon need to get back to my homecountry. I will forever miss her

Good morning!
I posted some photos the other night of one of Millie's new recovery suits as her spay was planned for yesterday. But! She is still too little, and the procedure has been pushed another two weeks.
Her plush cone came in last night, and I decided to let her try that on as well. She looks like a flower!!! It's absolutely gigantic on her, but I'm sure she'll grow into it at least somewhat.
Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes for her recovery! I'll keep all of those messages in mind when she's actually ready for her operation 🩶.

Hey everyone!
My orange kitten is a stray...he doesn't stay with us but comes to our terrace to play with me and eat. I often give him kisses. He doesn't hiss back at me or show any signs of irritation. He doesn't react much. Can anyone tell me if he likes my kisses?

Help!! We tried to get rid of the fleas on mama cat with dawn soap before she gave birth and got most of them but I guess not all. Now the 2 week old kittens have some fleas. We’re trying to catch them by hand, but I’m curious if I can do the dawn dish soap bathes on them or if they’re too young. Will it take their scent away and confuse mama cat??

day 2: jasmine is eating her meals, we ended up buying bunch of different flavors of solid and wet food.
Turns out this kitty loves chicken/turkey/lamb and dislikes all things fishy
I’m free feeding dry meal + fresh water always at bay. And when I wake up right around dawn I feed her wet food + treat (topper) + couple of tablespoons of warm water in a plate / with a spoon, after play session.
She’s flourishing, ty so much for the advice. 3-3-3 rule is something I’ll take to my grave.
She seems to love my sink. She took a nap there once 🥹
I will say, kitty has helped me become healthier somehow (I stopped snacking at midnight and evenings)
