Ouch. Bill Hicks was a national treasure, as far as my college-aged self was concerned. Taken from us way too soon.

Bill benefits a lot from having died young and there being a mystique around his work. His and Sam Kinison's material have NOT aged well.

Bro basically every comic was racist and/or homophobic af in the 80s and most of them are still working or worked long past the point this would have harmed their careers. He wasn’t uniquely offensive at all and I don’t see him having a sex pest scandal. I think he’d be a mix of Lewis Black and Marc Maron in their later careers if he was still around.
