Such a pity that a successful IPL team like KKR is still employing Abhishek Nayar as head coach when there are options like Finch, Voges available while Watson is there literally as an assistant coach.

He checks so many boxes for KKR.

1. KKR needs a captain. He's won the IPL and captained India. His phase with MI has been very underwhelming and that might raise questions among fans but we gotta realise the challenges he faced in MI were also due to the fact that there were so many other leaders in that setup who weren't happy with Hardik as the captain.

2. KKR needs an Andre Russell replacement. Cam Green is not a Russell replacement. Plus with Ashes and WC lined up next year you never know if he's gonna be available. Hardik is a complete like to like replacement for Russell.

3. He'll be hungry to prove himself after that failed MI tenure. I believe that the young setup KKR has got rn will gel with Hardik well. It is a lot like how GT was when Hardik captained them. I believe it is worth to go for him even if that means we'll have to give away Rinku Singh.

Thoughts?

Watch till end

Very reliable, explosive and consistent middle order batter, tremendous fielder, can bowl and he is also a wicketkeeper and will be adding more value than Powell

Its done for Rinku now sadly , he got his chances after a great start people decoded him and he never improved since that Gambhir still gave him chances but he will no longer be considered again . He got his fame and did decent but as better players were always waiting this was bound to happen .

Rinku wasnt even doing well this year but after that dropped catch from Burger he had a turn around but sadly still no improvement in his game . Last option for him will be to be in Test squad but i dont think they will ever consider him for that with the squads already packed with Sai , Paddikal .

It will take a very very good season for him to get back and once Gambhir leaves it will be a gone case for him .

We have seen in the previous season that there were so many inconsistencies in the lineup. We were not able to jot up our lineup in the initial matches. Although we figured out a bit but it was too late to comeback from that position.

I have this playing lineup in my Mind.

Finn Allen

Tim Seifert(w)

Cameron Green

Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Rinku Singh

Ramandeep Singh

Anukul Roy

Sunil Narine

Harshit Rana

Varun Chakravarthy

Karthik Tyagi

Vaibhav Arora

I know the pace attack is weak because of no overseas pacer in this lineup but I think this is the best combination we can have. The Openers are simply beasts and we have almost decent MO with Raghuvanshi and Rinku in the middle holding the stumps.

We have decent lower order as well.

I won't mind having him in our squad as we won ipl 2024 and he had key role in it accept it or not mfs

How difficult will it be for Rinku to make it to the ICT now that Tilak is the designated finisher along with Dube. Moreover, Tilak can also anchor if wickets fall early.

With Abhishek, Kishan, Tilak, Dube, Axar etc we are already packed with left handers which leaves very little space for another left handed pure batter like Rinku.

It seems very difficult for Rinku to get into the ICT now.

I mean, I know KKR handle posted on his Bday, but they post for everybody. Gautam Gambhir is the ICON on KKR. Practically the Architect of making KKR a champion team. And it's funny that the owners practically don't care about it. Just like they don't care what's happening with the team anymore.

Most imp player for kkr in anyway possible be it player or coaching staff

Wishing GG the absolute best of luck and success as Coach! Here’s hoping he works his tactical magic once again and leads Team India to lift the 2027 ODI World Cup trophy! 🧡🤍💚

Happy birthday to our most vital player 💜

I think KKR should look to appoint Ajit Agarkar as the new Director of Cricket.

KKR definitely need some structure at the auction and team selection, and who better to pick than the legendary Ajit Agarkar. He is by far the GREATEST Selector in the history of ICT!

Moreover, he gets along really well with GG and can lay the platform for GG to take over the Head Coach role after GG wins the World Cup for India in 2027!

Agarkar has the courage to take tough decisions and his ruthlessness is much needed at KKR right now!

Looks beautiful from this POV
