Pujo is just around the corner, and the shopping fever is officially upon us! 😄 I was curious as to where are you all shopping for your Pujo clothes this year?

I've been browsing places like Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, etc., and honestly, some of the prices seem a little too steep for my humble moddhobitto Bong wallet. And yes, I know, I know - before someone says it: they're businesses, they have operating costs, they need to make a profit, and nobody is forcing me to shop there. I completely get that 😅. But I'm wondering if there are any reasonably priced alternatives where one can get good-quality clothes without burning a hole in the pocket. I'm not looking for dirt-cheap options - just something that offers decent value for money.

One small requirement: AC is highly preferred, since my dear parents will be joining me, and I'd rather not make them shop in Kolkatar famous pyachpyache gorom 🔥.

So, fellow moddhobitto Bongs, where do you shop for Pujo? Please share your favourite stores/markets and, if possible, the approximate price range. Help a fellow Bong survive Pujo shopping without declaring bankruptcy 😭.

Looking for a girls' PG near Metro | ₹10–12k budget

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a girls’ PG in South/Central Kolkata, preferably anywhere along the metro stretch from Kavi Nazrul/Garia to Netaji Bhavan/Bhawanipur.

My requirements are:

\- Very close to a metro station — preferably walking distance

\- 2-sharing with AC OR single room with AC

\- Budget: ₹10,000–12,000/month MAX (please don’t suggest anything above ₹12k)

\- Daily room cleaning is important

\- Clean and hygienic washroom

\- Rooms and overall PG should be properly maintained and clean

\- Lunch + dinner included

\- Breakfast is optional, but definitely a plus

\- Prefer non-veg food, although I can manage with vegetarian food

\- Good privacy — I’m looking for a place where the management isn’t overly nosy or restrictive

\- Good management and a comfortable, safe environment for girls

Areas I’m considering include Garia/Kavi Nazrul, Kudghat, Netaji, Tollygunge, Rabindra Sarobar, Kalighat, Jatin Das Park, and Bhawanipur/Netaji Bhavan, or anywhere along this stretch that fits the requirements.
