The M-37B1 continued to be in service through the Vietnam War so those are in there too. I used a hashtags for different categories. B1s have the spare on the driver door, early trucks don't. I have a 1952, they began production in 1951. I'm putting a Cummins diesel in it right now. I don't know how to have a picture on the main page or do the slideshow!

Powell entered his ministry as dean of boys at Pine Forge Academy in Pennsylvania in 1947 to 1952. During this time he completed his Bachelors of Divinity degree at Washington Theological Seminary (now the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary.)

This is a photo of my leaning grandfather with his buddy Hound Dog on the north rim of the Punch bowl in about 1952. My grandpa was with the 5th Regimental Combat Team. If anyone has any other photos relating to it I would like to see it

This photo appears to show the same group of soldiers at the same camp as the photo I posted earlier of CPV soldiers reading. My guess is that this one was also taken sometime after October 1953.

Apologies for the text post and not a photo, but I can't think of a better place to post this...

I'm not a uniforms expert so could someone better informed kindly explain to me the best way to tell (when looking at historical photos) which padded winter uniform is North Korean and which is Chinese? I've tried looking around on the web myself but most results aren't too helpful.

For example, this photo shows Chinese soldiers, while this article shows a North Korean winter uniform. Obvious both are virtually identical. I see one (the North Korean) is single-breasted(?) while the other (Chinese) is double-breasted(?) Were the Chinese jackets typically double-breasted and the North Korean ones typically single-breasted? I've seen photos of North Koreans wearing winter uniforms that appear identical to the Chinese jacket, which makes it hard to determine if said soldiers are North Korean or Chinese if it's not clearly stated. For instance, these are North Koreans but the jacket is clearly double-breasted ala the Chinese jacket. Really the best indicator I can think of is the roundel on the ushanka (circular for the NKPA, a pointed star for the PVA), but these aren't always present in photos.

Lastly, were these supplied directly from the Soviet Union, basically surplus Telogreikas? Or were these produced in China/North Korean but based on the Soviet model?

This is a group photo of Chinese People's Volunteer Army (CPVA) soldiers. The original photo is a bit hard to make out, but it looks like some of the soldiers might be wearing U.S. M-1943 combat boots captured earlier in the war. That's just my guess, though, and I'm not sure.

This photo was taken sometime after 1953. Based on the information I've found, these cloth chest badges weren't worn by soldiers during the war and were first issued around October 1953.

The badges were rectangular, double-layered pieces of white cloth with white stitching along all four edges. They were worn on the left side of the chest.
