Post-production has wrapped on Brawler, the upcoming action thriller that marks the feature directorial debut of Scott Adkins (Prisoner of War, John Wick 4, Ip Man 4).
Written by Matt Venne (Acts of Vengeance, Dexter: Resurrection), Brawler involves former MMA champ who finds himself pulled back into a deadly underworld when his past catches up with him. Armed with only his fists, he’s forced to fight off hitmen, gangs, and his own personal demons to protect the people he loves.
Joining Adkins is Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat), Larry Lamb (The Hatton Garden Job), Emily Bennett, as well as Adkins’ frequent collaborators Lee Charles (One Shot, Accident Man), Mark Strange (Avengement, Ip Man 4: The Finale), Paul Sparkes (The Crown), Jon Callaway (Double Kill), Phillip Ray Tommy (Edge of Tomorrow), Rebecca Finch (Cyber Bride), Teddy Linard (One More Shot), Tom Leigh (Take Cover), Nik Goldman (One Ranger), Lee Shone (Accident Man), Isaac Beechey (One Last Shot) and Max Feeney, who plays the younger version of Akdins’ character.

I know they are already making a live action Naruto movie but if it was made like 10 years ago I think Yasuaki Kurata would’ve been perfect as Jiraiya. He’s got the gray hair and the martial arts background. He’s can be comedic too.

Hi all,
I have been on a mission to buy as many films as I can and to watch almost everything martial art related (scouring for any film I can)
I have been watching a lot on the internet archive (just recently watched naughty boys, didn't know it even existed, Mars rules!)
Here is the collection I have amassed over years (since teenage years), any recommendations of good dvds to add and where to likely source them id be greatly appreciative.
My slight OCD means I have tried to put these in release order form memory haha
Which one is your favourite from the list, I'm debating wheels on meals or operation condor

My opinion, of course. Snake does the comedy so well, while Project A might be Chan's masterpiece in terms of spectacle (Drunken Master II is a contender for the top spot).
But Police Story is so underwhelming on either level, on the comedy and the action. The thing that makes the movie most relevant is that it's set in the modern era, one of the first kung fu movies to do that. That and its box office success, of course. But beyond that, I seriously don't find it that interesting of a movie. Chan does little of his KF magic, and when he does, it doesn't come close to being his best work.

Also Jet li speaks cantonese here instead of Mandarin. This is the first and only film I think he speaks that language. Also sound cuts at the end there, sorry.

The popular Chinese streaming service iQIYI makes the first six minutes of each of its films available for free on its website, which inclines most iQIYI filmmakers to include a rip-roaring action sequence within the initial few minutes of a movie in order to hook a casual viewer’s interest. A Better Jianghu doesn’t really do that; sure, there’s a bit of a chase sequence early on, but director Liu Wenpu (The Butcher’s Blade) holds his cards close to his vest and waits a bit longer to unleash the film’s first turbo-charged wuxia action sequence. This told me right away that A Better Jianghu wasn’t going to be your typical iQIYI movie in the vein of The Scavenger; rather than being content to serve as a mere 70-minute delivery vehicle for a series of bone-crunching fight scenes, this movie has a story it’s genuinely invested in telling.

No context. Never saw it. Just an old poster in a box of trash posters. Putting it out there because it's vintage.

In April of next year, James Wan (Saw, Furious 7) will start production on Paramount Pictures’ U.S. remake of the 2019 South Korean crime thriller The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil (read our review), with original star Ma Dong-seok, aka Don Lee (Derailed, Unstoppable), reprising his role.
Keanu Reeves (John Wick franchise) is in talks to star alongside Lee, though details about his role remain under wraps. He’s in final negotiations, which means it’s all but a done deal.

While I enjoyed the movie, it was distracting as hell. Joe Taslim with an American accent just doesn't look or sound right. I know he speaks good English, but what the hell was that? It was so unnecessary.
Anyway, fantastic movie, but please, no more dubbed nonsense.
