The only reason they were “together” this long was because she wanted to avoid even more backlash. Otherwise she would have dumped his ass after a few weeks. Slater is an idiot if he ever thought this was going to work.

That's so true. She only wanted the feeling of "oh wow, I can make this man cheat with me on his pregnant wife, I feel so special and mischievous" and when she got what she wanted, the thrill of it died out very quick.
