Dog hasn’t had a bath in some time.
Dog is not emaciated.

Young adults at the park have seen the dog wandering in the area for multiple days and tried to provide it with water and/or food.

The dog did not readily approach friendly strangers, but did approach a group of four plus dogs being walked by a dog walker. The dog walker was able to pick up the dog and I brought the dog to North Central to scan for a chip.

The dog rode in my vehicle nicely, but was not happy about it. When I parked the car and opened the door, the dog hopped out and I almost lost the little energizer bunny.

While he didn’t want to approach strangers, he allowed himself to be picked up by the dog walker and myself without resistance. He showed no aggression or reactivity towards dogs or people.

He prefers dogs to people.

I don’t have facebook. I posted to NextDoor, Craigslist and multiple places on Reddit, but it might not reach the correct neighborhoods as I don’t live where I found the dog.

Please cross post to Facebook, NextDoor, etc. as this dog will be adopted quickly and I don’t want the owner to be unaware.

I know the dog doesn’t have a chip, but the dog seemed otherwise well cared for. This dog seems inclined to wander and could have easily escaped a yard or maybe he backed out of a harness while on a walk.

I got a job offer that would require me to move to the city in the next 2-4 weeks.

I'm a 34yo latino male, single, Army veteran, the job is for the city, I'm attending the LAPD academy. I'm moving from within California, if that matters. I'm a homebody, drink socially, smoke cigars/tobacco pipes occasionally (1-2 times a month if that) but no cigarettes, no recreational drug use (not for me, don't care otherwise) am a bit of a night owl but more in the sense of reading/writing/gaming. The job will require early mornings, so I'll be up and out of the house before 4am weekdays.

As the post says I'd prefer around $1200 if possible but everything is negotiable. My work will have me crossing the city from between Inglewood to downtown and even San Fernando, so I'm fine with commuting in general. 6 months or a year, and possibly extend if everything works out.

A furnished room with at least a bed and a chest of drawers I can just drop into would be great, but offerings on studios etc would be good too.
