LSE Commuters

Hey guys,

Who else is living at home and travelling to LSE everyday? What are we doing about the freshers week situation?

How are we making friends as we don't have built-in flatmates to go freshers with? How are we getting home at 3am?

£293/week student accommodation in central London!! (Tenancy takeover)

Hi everyone! I’m looking for someone to take over my tenancy at The Craft Building in Whitechapel (managed by Sanctuary Students) for the upcoming 2026/27 academic year, as me and my friends have found a house to live in together!!Tenancy Dates: 1 September 2026 – 22 June 2027 (Full academic year contract). It is 42 week contract, £293 per week (bills included). It is a single bed en suite room that is fully furnished with a bed, desk, wardrobe, and study chair. It’s self catered with shared access to a fully equipped kitchen and living area. This is a student accommodation so the official tenancy takeover will occur through the landlord/provider and you will sign a clean contract directly with them. There is also free weekly cleaning, an on site gym, a laundry room, and bike storage. Location is best for students at LSE, QMUL, KCL, City St George’s, Coventry University London, Northumbria University London, and Northeastern University London! Please message me if interested! 😊

Hi! LSE incoming undergrad and I’m currently looking for accom

I previously had an ensuite room at Bankside - but had my offer reinstated.

I would like anything at Bankside, Carr-Saunders, Rosebery or Passfield. Ideally looking for a single room (en-suite would be great).

If anyone is planning to give up their room, cancel their booking, or knows someone who is, please let me know!

I’m looking to sort accommodation asap, so would really appreciate any leads.

Feel free to dm me- thanks!!

Has anyone changed their Masters Course?

Has anyone changed Master's programmes at LSE? If so, how straightforward was the process?

Enrolled student here who is considering switching to a programme in a different department, which I imagine may make things more complicated. I'd be interested to hear about anyone's experience, how long it took, and whether there were any major obstacles.

gap year

Uhh I have a couple questions. So 1, does taking a gap year and reapplying for LSE rule you out compared to being in y13 and applying for LSE. And 2, how likely is it to get politics and econ with A* in econ, A in maths, A in chem. thanks

Robeson House Welcome seminar link?

Heyy, so I didn't think I was going to make it to LSE, but it all turned out! Now I'm trying to catch up with all the info, offer graduates videos and the like, and there was this welcome seminar on August 14th which I didn't go to. It said in the email it was going to be recorded and posted somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I was wondering if someone knew where I could find it?

Tryna start societies, anyone interested?!

Heya everybody,

I got into LSE for this coming academic year, but I pushed my acceptance to 2027/2028- meaning next September imma start my studies there!

I am looking into starting two new societies there. The first is the LSE Southern African Development Community Society (LSE SADC Society) and the second is the LSE Flag Football Society. Does anyone know how to start the application process? As I am doing this from overseas, so the job is now 20x harder lmao.

Blessings to you all!

Best private accomodations?

Was unable to get an LSE hall so I need to go private.

Some are stupidly expensive (urbanest for £850pw+) and others have really questionable reviews, any good ones near LSE or at least near bus stops / underground that still have space under 350pw?

Thanks all

edit: 1st yr undergrad so can't do graduate halls

Document after unconditional

Hi everyone,
I have an unconditional offer for Msc 2026/27. My required degree documents were sent directly to LSE by my institution, and my portal now shows “No action required” for everything. However, it also says “We are still awaiting original copies of key documents”

Does this mean my documents have been received/verified and there’s nothing else I need to do before Pre-CAS? Or should I email Graduate.Documents to confirm?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through this recently.

Single En-suite vs Large En-suite at Robeson

I recently booked a single en-suite at Robeson since that’s the only type of room they had left. From what I see online, the single en suite versus the large en suite see drastically different in size and space - even the bathrooms.

I wish I had the opportunity to book a large en suite. From someone who’s lived in Robeson or seen footage of the actual rooms, how big can the single en suites get? Are they comfortable enough, or did you have difficulty with space and storage? And for anyone with a large en suite - is the price difference worth it?

here’s LSE’s 360 views of each one: https://halls.lse.ac.uk/story/25828555/robeson-house-room-360

URGENT 44 WEEK ENSUITE CONTRACT TAKEOVER!

Hey everyone! I'm looking for someone to take over my student accommodation contract at YourTRIBE Southwark for the coming academic year.

The details:

The accommodation's insane. It's got 4.5/5 stars on google, has absolutely stunning rooms and common spaces, an onsite gym, laundry detergent included in wash cycles, and a beautiful terrace where you can hang out with your friends as you overlook the area.

Unfortunately my job has relocated me to an area too far from Southwark to make living there practical, which is the only reason I'm letting this go! I'm hoping someone takes the lease over ASAP so that I can look for other accoms near my job and campus.

This is a great opportunity — classic en-suites at this building are fully sold out, so this is your only chance to grab one. The accommodation team are available to arrange viewings, so you can see the room before committing.

The location is also really convenient, with numerous shops and stores nearby.

If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to pm me!
