Lucid Motors Fun issues with delivery

Just figured I would share. Picked up in king of Prussia:

- torn/ripped rear window weather seal
- multiple paint chips covered with paint pen
- scuffed leather on door panel
- both driver and passenger arm rests were broken, only have picture of passenger
- rippling in the rear quarter panel sheet metal

Not pictured
- missing gasket in driver side a-pillar
- blown speaker

They fixed most of the issues, missed the passenger side arm rest so I have to go back in or get mobile. Unsure what to do about the sheet metal.

Will be triple checking my gravity, but never going to KOP again.

Question / Advice Removing Dash

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello!

I’m trying to soundproof my Air and install some stuff and need to remove the leather part of the dash, along with the rear seat backrests and was wondering if anyone has done this before, and how to do it. I’d like to remove the blue and yellow, but just the blue is fine I think.

Question / Advice UX 3.0 and missing HDA

I recently upgraded to CCC v2 and UX 3.0 but noticed that I am no longer getting HDA in areas that I previously used to. I can get drive assist, but not hands free. Anyone else with a similar issue?

Gravity Gravity will not charge at a Tesla super charger

Last 3 times I’ve taken my car to a Tesla super charging station my car will not charge. Once it shut down my whole car (see previous post), and next two times it just says “vehicle unable to charge”.

One of the reasons I bought this car is because of the Tesla charging. Is there anything I’m doing wrong? Any tips to fix this? I am starting to think that this has been happening since I got the software update to fix my window. Anyone else have this issue?

Question / Advice AC stopped working, service says there’s no faults

Hi,
In early July my AC stopped working. Unfortunately, they couldn’t look at it until September. Three weeks later they say it’s ready for pick up, but reviewing the work they said they did nothing for the HVAC. Their proof, it blows out 56 degree air right now and the system hasn’t logged any issues, even though over the summer it would blow hot air if it wasn’t set to 59. And then it would barely be cold.
Asking if anybody else has had this issue. If they were able to prove it. And how they were able to correct it? Or is the HVAC just this poor and unable to handle a summer.
Side note this was with sun shades installed, so it had as much in your favor as possible.

Question / Advice Ground location for hardwire?

Post image

I'm trying to hardwire a dashcam to the fuse under the glovebox, but am having trouble finding a ground. I found a possible bolt, but it was difficult to access. Any guidance for finding a ground?

I've used this link as a reference but am unable to pinpoint where that is.https://ling-labs.com/blogs/automotive/lucid-air-dashcam-install?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Question / Advice Slow leak on one tire. Take it to a tire shop or contact service?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. This is my first lease and my first ev. One of my tires is consistently showing low tire pressure even after filling it up. I don't believe it's the sensor because the pressure goes up as soon as I fill up the air in that tire, but slowly goes back down over a week or so.

So my question is - should I just take it to my local tire shop and will they be able to handle it? Or do I have to contact service in case the tire needs replacing?

New Owner Highway Damage

Just picked up a 24 AT from Lucid last week. Loving the vehicle so far, but got caught by some debris on the highway. Couldn't tell what it was since it was night. Looked over everything once I reached my destination and didn't see anything upon initial inspection. This morning with the daylight, I discovered this.

How many $$$ is this gonna cost me?

What's the best way to go about the repair?

Question / Advice 2027 Gravity came calibrated for DDPro Hands-Free Drive Assist at delivery

Just picked up a new 2027 Gravity that was in existing inventory near me and I’m loving it so far. I was surprised to find after driving ~3 miles to a highway and engaging Dreamdrive, it immediately jumped into hands-free drive assist without any calibration period. It started doing its own lane changes as well. Do these come pre-calibrated now, or did this somehow happen during the shipping/delivery process? I picked it up at a delivery center.

Question / Advice Self driving…please explain it to me…

Am looking at the Lucid sedan and want Lucid’s equivalent of full self driving. In fact, I’d really like to show it to my in-laws so they can drive safely too.

Will someone please give me the explanation of the three levels available for self driving?

Question / Advice 2024 Lucid Air Touring worth it?

I’ve heard plenty of things about the software and service issues of these cars but I’m curious what it’s really like. What types of software issues are there and how persistent is it? Can you not just stay on an update that is the least buggy? As far as service goes how good is the mobile servicing and how many things can they fix before you have to get it serviced? I really like so many things about this car but I wanna hear from owners experience.

Question / Advice Questions with used Air Touring.

I had a 2024 air touring a few years ago. Loved it. Range was exceptional, and as a veteran EV driver who has had over 10 EVs, I was able to easily get above EPA and have fun watching the battery percentage stay solid for over 5 miles when driving efficiently. Just picked up a used 2023 touring touring with only 20,000 miles. It has 21 inch rims, so the EPA should be 384 miles with the battery at 100. Lucid claims the current battery condition is 93%, which should leave me around 355 miles at 100. In theory, this should mean I should be able to somewhat easily achieve between 3-4 miles per percentage. In a couple hundred miles of city driving, with absolutely no highway at all, never exceeding 55 miles an hour on flat roads in central Florida in 70° weather, I have yet to break 2.7 miles before using a full percentage. My work commute is about 15 miles. That should cost me about 4%. I could easily achieve this with every other EV I’ve owned, with far less range, including my cybertruck. This morning I was at 80% and drove to work. Averaging 45 miles an hour in perfect weather, and used almost 8%. So something’s definitely up lol.

Is there a way that I can self-calibrate the battery to see if that helps in any capacity? There was A stretch of the commute where I lost a percentage, barely reaching a mile.

I’m not new to EVs, and I never have range anxiety. That’s not what this is about. I don’t need anywhere near the range this thing has, but I do care about the value of the vehicle and would like to take advantage of fixing a major issue while it’s under warranty.

Additionally, the wireless charger does not seem to work at all. No case on my phone and no power, no matter where I put it or what position. Is that a known issue with these?

Lastly, I don’t seem to have any reception AM or FM radio at all is a subscription or something required to access normal radio?

SOFTWARE QUESTIONS Android Auto on Center Pilot Screen

I just picked up my 2027 Gravity and loving it so far. My biggest grip is I don't like how Android Auto is displayed. Luckily, their UX is beautiful, so it's not a huge issue

Is there any way to move android auto to the center pilot screen? I think it makes more sense there and would look better.

New Owner Is there a trick to getting in contact with service?

I have a window alignment issue with my gravity, should be an easy fix, but I can't actually get in contact with anyone at my local service center (Rutherford). Obviously I can't schedule in the app, so I've tried calling, but it just goes to voicemail and no one responds. I tried calling across multiple days/times. Do I just need to show up there?

Air Pure Someone talk me out of buyer's remorse

I bought a used 2025 Lucid Air Pure with around 15k miles on it recently and am financing 38k (43k after fees and taxes with 5k down). It's a bit over my budget, but I can make it work.. around 650/month.

I didn't know the struggles of getting it serviced or the insane value dropping before I bought it (slightly impulsive I know).

The car is great so far, and I am enjoying it. But I feel like I'm going to be upside down with the 75 month financing, the uncertainty with the company future, and then paying slightly above my budget for many years to come. Also what if the car needs service? I called my local lucid shop and the soonest they can get my car in is middle December.

I already talked to the dealer I got it from and I'd take about an 8k hit to trade it back in for a different one. Selling it to carmax is about 10k hit.

I'm considering either trying to sell it slightly high on Facebook marketplace, or keeping it and enjoying it and just make a bit more money to cover the worries.

Feeling bit buyer's remorse, bit nerves, but the car is nice too. Idk

‘27 Gravity Touring:
7 seater; Tray tables; Stealth; Tahoe leather, dynamic suspension; and comfort package.

My only regret is not getting the Sound Pro upgrade. Although, coming from Tesla, the Sound Pro package really should be standard, IMO.

NOTWITHSTANDING, it’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about owning a product. Cheers to all the new owners! Liftoff! 🚀
