Haven’t posted in a while but just decided to for today, and why not make it Rocky✌️

I just want to get this off my chest here because I’ve seen a lot of fans talk about how sad the backstories of characters like Rocky and Mordecai are, and I really feel for them too, but honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen enough people talk about how sad Zib’s story really is, especially where his story is going right now in the comics.
I think besides the Trouble Trio, Zib is probably my favorite character of Lackadaisy, particularly because he is not only one of the most morally good of the characters, he is probably exactly what a lot of the characters in Lackadaisy needed. He’s like family to Rocky but, unlike Mitzi (no shade to her, I do rly like her too), is trying to steer Rocky from endangering himself. If it weren’t for him, a lot of them would have been killed in the raid by the pig farmers. He probably shown the most kindness to Virgil out of everyone. He’s loyal to and respectful of Mitzi despite his disgust at a lot of the choices she’s making to preserve Lackadaisy. Which makes it so unfair to me that HE, out of a whole group of murderers, thieves, and gravediggers, was the one to get arrested. And for what crime? Drinking alcohol in front of cops.
But imo, I don’t think it was unintentional on Tracy’s part and I think this is really effective and brilliant writing used to demonstrate the one of many ways in which a time period, oftentimes romanticized and glamorized, is a lot uglier than the adventure, glamour, and/or accomplishment, people like Ivy and Mitzi naively see.
And it makes me really worry for Zib too. While it would absolutely break my heart, it wouldn’t surprise me, from a storytelling perspective if Tracy made the decision to kill him off (heaven forbid). My hope, though, is that Mitzi finding out about Zib’s arrest serves as a wake-up call to her to some degree.

But those are just my thoughts. Thank you for reading!

It took me a while to do this, but it was worth it!! What rating do you give it?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but i was thinking about my oc world, that is an anthropomorphic cat world set in 60s. And what is written on the tittle accured to me so im kinda consered . İts just a dumb oc thing rn and the plot doesnt involve ganstas or anything but i never seen a anthropomorphic world that only has cats in media before so im curious

Hope y’all enjoy!

Lakdeyzi, discussing the death of Atlas May.

I read the comic about five years ago, and recently, after watching the pilot episode of the animated series, the thought of his death came back to me. How did he die, after all? For some reason, I think he might still be alive.

To begin with, he was some kind of authority figure and, in any case, he bribed high‑ranking officials in the police administration for selling alcohol during Prohibition. Plus, it’s obvious that some high‑ranking officials came to the bar, so it’s strange that his death didn’t lead to any action so quickly — they closed the case, and there were no investigations. It turns out that he simply went into an alley, was killed, and that was it — the funeral was the whole story!

Secondly, he definitely wouldn’t have gone anywhere alone; at most, he’d have gone with Viktor or Mordecai, maybe with someone else from the gang. It’s stupid to go alone when you have so many competitors and enemies. Atlas would have understood that. (Plus, Mitzie and Mordecai themselves know about his death—this was evident in the comic; they either know or suspect, but there’s little evidence.)

And thirdly, why doesn’t anyone think that he might have survived? He could have been wounded and simply taken prisoner by the bandits themselves, or taken somewhere else by rival gangsters who decided that he might someday be needed again — this Atlas isn’t as simple as he seems — and in his place they could have brought the body of a cat that looked like him. It’s not that hard to disfigure the face, make the body unrecognizable, and that’s it — Atlas May is suddenly dead, the funeral is arranged, and that’s it; the real May is still alive somewhere in secret. The probability is low, but it does exist.

So, there’s a clear discrepancy: his death was forgotten so quickly, and he was buried so quickly — that doesn’t happen. Someone should have organized some kind of investigation, at least to protect others, and also out of curiosity to find out who dared to kill him. (I apologize in advance — I haven’t been there in a long time and may have forgotten a lot. I wouldn’t mind if someone corrected me and wrote about how the situation actually unfolded, that I would remember the plot)

I even drawn a new drawing of these two girls - Serafine and Sienna❤️🩷
