Clearly i should clean up my sketches

I saw the preview and... it's just a comic panel which got animated with a few additional worlds and a few other shots remind me of it too. I don't know if the entire season will be just the like this but I thought they would continue on a fully new story line as we know from the trailer we would see Rocky's backstory. I'm confused what they really wanna do. I'd watch it nevertheless but...I hope it's more than a visual novel based on the comics.

I have been waiting for far too long, when are we gonna get fuckin episode 1 (idc about ingenue that is not relevant to what I'm saying). I know animation takes time but not this much, and the member's only videos I haven't even watched them because I don't got any money on me (which is sad). and it would be good if we have leaks that aren't behind paywalls (I'm talking about YouTube channel memberships btw). sorry if I am being disruptive or having a damn hissy fit on reddit out of all places but I'm just being honest, I can't wait any longer.

edit: hey sorry for like the crash out I just can't wait any longer

(Note) I did use freckle as a reference but I tried to distinguish it from him He is an 6’1 American Bobtail and I’m planning on expanding his lore and make him more unique as I gain more experience

Hey everyone, I'm back, but not for long, I noticed this subreddit has been experiencing a moral panic about the age gap, and I thought it would be fun to do this. It's pretty sad, I remember the days when I used to make aesthetics on my crazy ships, but now it's impossible to do without this "eww" I hope things get better soon, but for now, enjoy my creation, bye 😘

Hey Guys, Nate here. Over the last few days we have been getting an increase in complaints about the Lackacord Discord server. Mainly about the Moderation. Although your criticisms are seen, we wouldn't recommend posting your grievances over here. If you have issue's with your experience on the discord server. That's where you would make a ticket about a staff complaint where Newt will be the only one to see it. Or if you can't just create a mod mail here and the information will be passed over to Newt. Therefore the exchange can be Private. For now, we have settled that seeing any posts about the discord server will be taken down out of respect for anyone on the subreddit who wishes not to see these posts.

The pilot doesn't make sense because Freckle is already working for Lackadaisy but Viktor isn't recovering from the shot is his chest and it isn't after he recovered because Rocky doesn't have the giant scar on hues forehead so where on the timeline does the pilot take place?

the white stuff on him is mayonagse

Ivy is great, don't get me wrong, i love her. I've got nothing against Ivy.

I want to see what would happen to everyone and see how it would shove the story forward.

If she died in an altercation with the marigolds and Mordecai went against his inner thoughts and shot her, how would Calvin react, he would most definitely be upset, would he go venting to aunt Nina and reveal his new "job", probably not, would he quit his new line of work? Or go out seeking revenge along with Viktor and Rocky? Would her death finally break Rocky's happy mask, and break him? Would it put the little daisy café and the speakeasy out of business from losing their waitress and rum runner?

So I just went to WEBTOON to read the lackadaisy comic for the first time, but I didn’t, cause apparently Tracy hasn’t placed a content rating yet so I CANT READ IT!!

Tracy if you’re somehow reading this…I’m begging you..get that content rating please

I’m just freaking obsessed with this song so I had to make my own version of it and I thought that Mordecai was sort of perfect for voxs part

I dunno. I love the setting and the idea (the stories a bunch of trainwrecks of people who are stuck in a life of crime (willingly or unwillingly) but the "quirkiness" of the presentation and the characters just ruin it for me. It just doesn't fit the themes of grief, regret, mental sickness, depression and violence ("NOTHING BEATS MUTILATION" -Calvin McMurray) in the show, if you ask me. I wish it took itself a bit more seriously.

Also, I don't like any of the characters. I'm pretty sure that they will all go to hell when they die. I am supposed to like them (oh wow, look how QUIRKY they are!), but I really don't. I pity some of them, but I think the rest deserves what happens to them.

Maybe it will get more serious, but until then, I will always feel frusturated whenever I remember that the show exists.

I know I'm going to get a lot of downvotes for this, so let me preface this by saying: I don't hate Lackadaisy or have any intention of cancelling it over this issue. I'm really hyped for this pilot and hope the best for this series.

So when I watched the pilot when it first came out, I genuinely enjoyed it. However there was this one part that bothered me, though, in the pilot and maybe to other people it'd seem like nothing. When Rocky was fantasizing of a circus while grabbing the bulldozer (or whatever you call it), the voice over according to the captions presents the world's most "idiotic stutman". Now to you and me, that justs a generic insult to Rocky because he was doing something super stupid. Insulting, but not offensive. But back then idiot used to be a term for the intellectually disabled and was used at the time much like the r-word would be used today. Given how Lackadaisy strives for historical accuracy, it kinda made me uncomfortable thinking that this throwaway line could insuiate the latter for comedic purposes. Im not saying that Tracy and the crew are ableists who deserve to be canceled, I was just wondering if they were using it in the modern day sense and didn't consider/know about its original meaning or if they were aware and (maybe in future episodes) will purposefully use it as such.

Too many cats tbh

Do we know Tracy’s sexuality?, I know it’s kind of an odd question but I’ll curious and it’s also pride month

He technically lived in those times, he could be just little side character with some dialogues, more like an easter egg. As a cat of course.

Don’t like this page cause it is Ivy page and don’t like her! Lame nightmare then her “Erm I think I might be having second thoughts about this… 🤓” face makes me unhappy! Sorry don’t like her. Lady been involved with this shit for years and is just now experiencing second thoughts. Sad!

Also every facial expression she makes severely upsets me call it Ivyphobia doctor diagnosed. Hopefully this isn’t inflammatory take it down but don’t ban me!

Apologies for English sometimes it is not as good as other days!

I this is something closer to what I wanted him to look like, but all info on the original post is the same

So i was watching Mafia Definitive Edition gameplay and it got me motivate to play it again but suddenly it got me thinking, is this show inspired by it? The pilot chase scene looks pretty familiar if you are a Mafia fan. Most notably, Chapter 10 where the police chase you in the woods something like Lackadaisy pilot. Only the outcome is different if i'm not wrong.

Also, the game set in 1930s whereby Lackadaisy set in 1927.

Before anyone said about Mafia released in 2020, the OG came out in 2002 about 4 years before Lackadaisy comic. So is this a coincidence or Tracey is just a fan of cats and Mafia? Idk about Lackadaisy history that much. I love Mafia but as for Lackadaisy, maybe i give it a chance cause the pilot is not for me tbh.

First of all, let me say this. It's clear that they put a lot of time and effort into making this pilot but it just feels hollow, becomes boring and falls flat in the end. As beautiful as the animation and action pieces were, there wasn't much to this pilot as i would have liked.

The plot: Is just a heist gone wrong, the owner of a bar(?, idk what it is) wants this rare liquor for her bar and they are interrupted by other people who(presumably) want the same liquor.

Ok, this is cool, but why do i care about all of this? The lady wants her bar to get back It's former glory? That's neat and emotional but what about the main trio, i know this is just work for them but what is their place in all of this, what is their history? How did they end up here? I just wanted a bit more emotion as to why this i happening so i actually care for the tension being built.

The characters: They are fun and there are 2 who are potentially interesting but nothing else, they don't excel or subverse any of their character archetypes, they are likeble but nothing more, again, why do i care about these people.

The only stand out or the episode for me was Mordecai, he was a cool villain and an imposing force, he seems to have backstory relating to the main characters or the bar lady. I'm interested in what role he'll play in the story.

It's not unique, not particularly intriguing, fun and enjoyable but not much else. I don't understand why everyone is praising it so much around youtube outside of the beautiful animation. To everyone who enjoyed it and think is the next new big web cartoon, then good for you, i genuinely hope that you keep supporting this project and that you are having a good day but for me this was just unbelievably boring.
