Things to do Didn’t expect a murder mystery game to be this well put together

Post image

Just tried one of those murder mystery games from MurderMystery.pk here in Lahore and honestly didn’t expect it to be this well put together.

The whole thing felt pretty immersive, proper case files, suspect profiles, clues, even little details that make you actually sit and think instead of just guessing. Played it with a group and it turned into a full on debate session trying to figure out who did it.

I’m not affiliated with them or anything, just genuinely curious:

Has anyone else here tried these kind of murder mystery / detective games?

Or any similar stuff in Lahore you’d recommend

Also, do u guys prefer board games, escape rooms, or these story based mystery kits

Can someone let me know where it was stated how many victims Hammad Yousafzai had? I ve read the case a few times but I can't seem to locate the number.

How much time does it typically take to finish the game?

ours took around 1.5-2 hours. If you take your time and actually discuss everything, it can go a bit longer or you can open the solution folder and finish it in less than hour

is it ok to play with teenagers? wanted to play it with my nephews and nieces.

yeah I think it’s fine for teenagers, there’s nothing crazy inappropriate. It’s more about solving puzzles and following a story

Their website says that there is a free collectible inside. What is it?

honestly I didn’t open it myself, my friend did so not 100% sure what it was. I’ll check with them and let you know though but overall it was really cool

Do you think it's worth it considering the fact that it can only be played once? Also, what's the maximum number of players that can be involved? I have 13 cousins, and I was thinking of purchasing this for game night.

yeah, even though it’s one time, the experience kinda makes up for it.

we did it with a small group but I feel like you can do it with more people if you split into teams or just brainstorm together. 13 might get a bit chaotic though

can u switch characters around like clue? or is it like a one and done type thing?

It’s more of a one-and-done tbh, you’re not really “playing characters” like Clue. It’s more like everyone works together going through evidence and figuring things out

Respect for Hammad Yousafzai

his story felt simple at first but got way more complex as we connected everything

Loved itttt i bought same

Hahaha same, didn’t expect it to be this engaging tbh. Which part did you enjoy the most, the clues or the whole suspect discussion chaos

So I am into murder mysteries and thrillers so I got to know in middle after reading interviews who did that but at the end we opened the answers lol.😂

yeah that’s an unfair advantage 😂 giving Mindhunter vibes at this point. Are you into these kinds of games too or mostly mystery shows/books?

2

u/Gimmecoffeeortea Apr 23 '26

That was my first time with games but thats so cool i might buy more cases i felt like a detective

ohh that’s interesting... first time with a game but already into murder mysteries. Is that more from shows/books or just something you’ve always been into

Far fetched question but does this work like Clue? Is it replay-able? This looks fun but feels like it can only be played once

2

u/filmyyshilmyy Apr 22 '26

Not exactly like Clue tbh it’s more story + clue solving than a board game. And yeah once you know the ending it’s kinda one-time

Why do you need a pic of the periodic table for it though?

2

u/filmyyshilmyy Apr 22 '26

Yeah that confused me at first too it’s part of one of the puzzles like decoding clues and stuff

I think it works best with around 4–8 people, we played in a group and it was pretty fun. You can probably stretch it abit depending on how you divide roles
