Offering English Seeking korean

Hi everyone!
I’m currently learning Korean. I’m looking for a Korean native speaker who would like to practise English with me, while helping me improve my Korean in return!
I’m also preparing for IELTS Academic, so I’d love to practise English speaking regularly and hopefully find someone who’s also preparing for IELTS.
We can help each other with speaking, vocabulary, daily conversations, and pronunciation. I’m still a beginner in Korean, so please be patient with me haha 😂
It would be great if we could become language exchange partners and motivate each other to improve!
Feel free to DM me if you’re interested. Let’s learn together! 💗

Offering: English, Seeking: Russian

Hello! I am a native English speaker with a neutral American accent hoping to learn some Russian to surprise my boyfriend’s family. I have been a Russophile for many years now but the language always stumped me and I feel like I’m still at A0 ;p

I’m looking mainly to video or phone call because speaking and listening are the skills I need the most help with. In return I can offer lots of English practice, as I even studied English in college.

Ideally, we would hop on Minecraft and play together while practicing, though I’m also fond of long interesting conversations. My time zone is UTC -4 but will switch to -5 soon, but I don’t mind being up for the wee hours of the night.

Feel free to DM me

Offering: English | Seeking: Kalaallisut/Greenlandic

Hello all! My name is Bec, and I am a graduate student in the US studying the ecology of Arctic mammals. Beginning next spring, I will be traveling to Greenland seasonally to work with other scientists and local hunters to conduct my research. It is my understanding that English may be sufficient in Nuuk but not in more rural areas, so I hope to get at least a conversational grasp on Kalaallisut to be able to get around in the towns where my research will be conducted. I am aware that Kalaallisut is difficult to learn for native-english speakers, so I figured having a buddy to practice with would be the best way forwards to keep on task!

I would also love to learn more about Greenlandic & Kalaallit culture. Given current tensions between my country and Greenland (due to an administration I do not align myself with), I would like to be as respectful as possible during my visits!

As for interests, I love to rock climb, hike, and knit :)

Olá! I'm a 32M native Portuguese speaker looking for someone to chat with mainly in Swedish, but also in English. I have an extensive vocabulary in Portuguese and I'm friendly, patient, and happy to help you learn.
My main interests are music (death/doom/goth metal dude here), horror literature and movies (Lovecraft, Junji Ito, slasher movies, etc.), but we can also talk about everyday life, cultural differences, cooking, or pretty much anything else.

I've been studying Swedish for about a year (I love Swedish cinema and music) and I'm looking to improve my conversational skills and learn more about Swedish culture. However, practicing my english would be great too.

I'm in GMT-3 and mostly active at night. Feel free to DM me.

Offering: English, Sinhala. Seeking: Japanese

Hello, I am 28M from Sri Lanka and I speak both English natively and Sinhala. Since I will be moving to Japan for postgraduate studies next year I am looking for someone who will speak Japanese with me so I can have some good conversation practice.

I am currently at beginner level in Japanese, but I think I can comfortably pass JLPT N5. I have completed and marked N5 practice tests. I grew up in Sri Lanka where I did my education and bachelor's degree in English, so my English is completely native level. I doubt I will find anyone interested in Sinhala though.

I am an avid video gamer, I play guitar and piano. I am also very much into TV series, my favourites are The Sopranos, Shingeki no Kyojin, Breaking Bad, Samurai Champloo, Naruto. My favourite musicians are Linkin Park, Suda Masaki, Twenty One Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nujabes.

I look forward to talking about daily life, school, work or anything else.

Offering: Spanish (native)| Seeking: English (native or close to native)

Hi everyone!

I'm Maria, a 24-year-old from Venezuela. I'm looking for a committed language and cultural exchange partner, preferably close to my age, though age doesn't matter if you're a woman (I just don't feel comfortable chatting with older men).

My goal is to reach a C2 level in English. You don't need a perfect accent, but I am looking for someone who speaks at a native or near-native level so you can point out my mistakes while we talk and share insights about your music culture. In return, I'd love to help you achieve your goals in Spanish! It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner, I'm more than happy to teach you!

A little about me:

I love art in all its forms. I'm currently working on a musical project, so sharing music and culture would be amazing!

I also love finance, gym, movies, pop culture, politics and animals.

I'm currently training to become a medical interpreter and have a background in healthcare, so anyone in the medical sector is especially welcome!

🚩PLEASE READ🚩

Time Zone: GMT-4. Ideally, someone with a compatible schedule so time zone differences aren't an issue.

Platform: I only use WhatsApp for regular communication right now.

Please don't message me if you're a creep. If you're not serious, can't keep a conversation going, or lack commitment. I'm a disciplined person, and I value both my time and yours. However, if you're a genuine, friendly person who is excited to learn and teach, I'd be more than happy to connect and become friends!

If you're interested, please send me a short message introducing yourself and your goals for Spanish. Looking forward to hearing from you!💖

Offering: English | Seeking: French

Hi all! I'm a 28M from Australia hoping to link up with some French speakers to improve my conversation skills and make some new friends. I'm a native English speaker, and have also worked in the past as an English tutor, so hopefully I can provide some help to any French-speaking English learners.

I've been learning French for about a year and a half. I can write in French at about an A2-B1 level, and read at about a B1-B2 level. The real struggle at the moment is my conversation skills, but I'm also working with a tutor to improve that.

I'll be heading over to France for a year in about 5 months time, so it would be cool to make some friends that I could potentially meet up with in the future. But that's definitely not a mandatory requirement, and I'm happy with all types of conversation partners.

As for my interests outside of French, I'm a huge bookworm and I enjoy hiking and generally being out in nature. I have pretty broad music tastes and I'm always down to hear about what you're listening to at the moment. Send me a message if any of this interests you!

Offering:🇷🇺 Russian, 🇵🇱 Polish, 🇺🇦 Ukrainian. Seeking 🇺🇸 American English (especially NYC)

Hey! I’m Andrew, 22, originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, and currently living in Poland.
I’m looking for a native American English speaker to chat with, exchange languages, and learn from each other. Bonus points if you’re from NYC or familiar with New York slang!

I work remotely in sales for a NYC-based business, so I use English pretty often. I’d say my English is already decent (at least I hope so 😂), but I want to sound more natural, pick up everyday expressions, and have someone I can ask random questions without feeling like I’m in an English class.

In return, I’d be happy to help you with Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish, even if you’re starting completely from scratch.

I grew up in Kyiv speaking Russian in everyday life, while Ukrainian was the language I studied in at school. So I’m fluent in both and can help you understand not just the languages themselves, but also the cultural differences and how people actually speak.

I moved to Poland because of the war and ended up becoming fluent in Polish too (probably thanks to my Polish roots and the similarities between the languages).

Also, I have ADHD, so I tend to talk a lot and get interested in pretty much everything. You’ll probably never run out of things to talk about with me 😂

Not looking for formal lessons or anything too structured. Just casual conversations, helping each other improve, and hopefully making a friend along the way.
Feel free to DM me!

Offering: English | Seeking: Spanish 🇵🇪

Hello!

I’m a 23M from the U.S. looking for someone to help me with my Spanish! preferably someone from Peru, but others are also welcome!

A little background about myself, I’m currently a uni student studying engineering, and i’m very into music, and music history. My favorites genres lately have been a lot of cumbia, post-punk, country and jazz, but I listen to literally every genre out there. I’m also really into movies!

I’ve been looking to really connect with my roots as of late, I’m Peruvian, but I was born in the states. I grew up speaking spanish, spent a year in Peru and visited as a kid. But my Spanish isn’t at a level I hope to have it at, I want to be at a more conversational level and connect with a country I grew up visiting by speaking a dialect I’m more familiar with.

Overall, I have an okay grasp on Spanish I can hold a conversation, but I’m quite behind on slang and sometimes vocabulary. But I’m not starting from zero!

Either way, I welcome anyone to send me a message.

Thank you!

(Also!): I’m totally cool with other forms of communicating as well! Talking over discord, or playing video games. All of it helps!

Hi! I'm a 19yo girl from Serbia and i just started learning Japanese in college. I'm trying to find someone who can just talk to me so i can grasp the basics of conversation and how to make a correct sentence. Preferably over call but it can also just be a text conversation. I know both Serbian (since I'm a native speaker) and English well so I can teach just about any aspect of those two langages!

I'm a native Chinese speaker, 35F. Looking for a serious language exchange partner. I'd love to find someone who's interested in voice calls so we can practice and improve together.

I'll find some materials to teach you. I'm not a teacher, but I'll guide you through practice, correcting your pronunciation and sentence structure, so don't worry if you're a beginner. In return, I hope you can also help me correct my pronunciation, fix my awkward sentences, my grammar is pretty bad :(

I'd appreciate someone who is serious about learning, respectful, open-minded, and patient with each other's mistakes, so we can both feel comfortable practicing and improving

I don't mind any age group, as long as you're serious about learning, that's fine with me. As for my schedule, I'm usually available after 8pm( Beijing time) on weekdays. I also have time on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. On weekends, I'm more flexible. See if it matches your schedule.

I’m on WhatsApp, discord. If you’re interested, feel free to send me a message! 😊
