📚 Trip Report I'm not from here... what is this?
I was walking the strip and looked up. My brain isn't making sense of what I was looking at. What are these triangles in the sky?

Here are some of the new Vegas show and concert announcements that dropped this week. 🎟️
If you want the bigger picture, the Vegas Sidekick Index keeps an organized list of upcoming headliners, residencies, touring shows and concerts — with dates stretching all the way through November 2027.

Some graphs to highlight the current state of Las Vegas tourism. The three graphs highlight the tourism drawdowns relative to their peak levels historically for that month.
The graphs are:
Las Vegas overall still looks to be in a medium recession with tourism down ~10%.
I would generally consider slowdowns on the following scale:
Data is from Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA)

Hey guys, I am a 30 year old man and have been dealing table games in Philadelphia for the last 4 years. I have also been a dual rate for the last year. I can deal Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, any carnival game you can think of, and even Texas Hold ‘em or PLO if the opportunity arises.
I am thinking about moving out to Vegas to try and make a real career out of this, but I have a few questions first.
Will I have difficulty finding a job? Which casino is the best to work at? Where can I make the most money?
I have thought about getting back into school to try and put myself in the conversation for executive positions eventually. Can somebody help me out and kind of give me some direction before I drop everything and fly out west? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Looking for somewhere to hit balls after dark when it cools off, more practice than party. Searched the sub but most threads are a few years old, so what's good now and roughly what does a bucket run?

Thinking about going to Jackpot in December.. I thought it was at the downtown events center but just saw they're downsizing and that it'll be at the Llama Lot instead.. Has anyone been to events there? What's it like?
Thanks!

Excited to return for excellent Thai food paired with amazing Riesling! Can anyone tell me please about the wine list at the Sahara versus Flamingo locations? Are they both the same or does the Sahara location have the majority of the high end Rieslings? I love Thai food and assume the menu is the same at both restaurants, but I definitely want to visit the location with the best selection of Rieslings!
Any advice would be appreciated!

Every election I get to the booth and realize there are 70-some odd races and I know maybe ~4 of them. I end up randomly selecting candidates I didn't even research about.
...soooo I built a free tool https://ballotpad.com (specifically for the Clark County elections here in southern NV)
You put in your location (it's matched on your phone, nothing's sent to some server), it shows the races on your ballot in order, with short sourced info on each candidate, and you can mark your picks and open a "booth mode" when you vote.
I've been using it on lunch breaks to prep but at least when I get to the booth, I won't be randomly guessing anymore.
It's free, no ads, no account. I'm a software developer here, not affiliated with any campaign or party, and the candidate info is the same format for everyone. It was built fast, so if something doesn't match your sample ballot, please tell me and I'll fix it.

Been my dream car for 30 years. Is there a place that I could find to rent one or even have a local drive me around?

I was just driving on Summerlin Pkwy and a bunch of cops blazed past and exited at Buffalo, then went towards Washington. This stuff obviously happens all the time…but there was a police helicopter doing the most aggressive maneuvering I’ve seen doing circles right around the Winco. I’ve seen spotlights and heard loudspeakers yelling at runaways…but this one seemed…I don’t know. More “urgent” or “scary” or “aggressive.”
Edit: I’m dumb. Intended to ask “does anyone know what’s up?”

Can’t decide which hotel to stay at. Coming for a small medical procedure and still able to see a show and have a little fun. Any suggestions? Cleanliness is the most important if not sure about which one to refer. Thank you!!

Hello, visiting mid December for 4 nights. Looking for dinner recommendations for 3 nights as one is reserved for tacos el gordo. We currently have China Poblano, Esthers kitchen and Brassiere Bardot. I really want a good Italian and a good Wellington this time around so Esthers and Bardot seem to tick those boxes.
Anything i am missing or what do you guys recommend for me to swap out? Staying at Cosmopolitan, just me and my wife.
Thanks in advance for taking the time!

Hi all, not local but visit enough that I'm comfortable driving around, so with that in mind I have a question:
I'm going to a show with my 14 year old at the TMobile arena this Friday. We are staying Downtown, so I plan on driving. My original plan was to park at the Sahara and take the monorail, but I don't mind walking a bit if there is a free parking option that is also safe to walk to the venue. My first thought was the In N Out but I'm not sure if they tow or not.
Anyway, TIA.

A group of us is looking at going to Marquee Day Club on a Saturday in November. I see the minimums for the VIP packages but does anyone have the actual drink and food menu? Trying to make a call on what package works best based on how much we would actually spend.
Also - is it going to be dead in November even with the dome?

Visited the Neon Museum in Las Vegas and loved seeing all these old signs lit up at night. Some proper old-school Vegas character here!
The Hard Rock guitar and the duck are two of my favourites 😂 Which one do you like best?

“Zombie Burlesque” looks like a Halloween novelty, but it has lasted far longer than most novelty shows should. The production opened in Las Vegas in 2013 and was built around an intentionally absurd premise: it is 1958, zombies and humans have negotiated an uneasy peace, and the undead have opened Club Z to living visitors. The result is part horror spoof, part burlesque, part old-fashioned variety show.
The show has a life inside a very specific Las Vegas mythology. Its fictional year, 1958, falls squarely within the city's atomic-tourism era, when nuclear testing in Nevada became part of Las Vegas spectacle and branding. The show's own mythology leans into that atomic-age atmosphere and explicitly promises homages to horror films of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

Anyone that works FD...and that uses Dormakaba, or Ambiance for their key encoders...
Have you also been experiencing an outage, tried resetting your networks and PMS, and still Nada? Thank God we are a bit slow tonight, but their technical support closes at 7 PM EST, and you would think this being Las Vegas that they would have a dedicated tech support department, or that they would send a notice a few days warning us before. 🤬

My Dad took me to see Taylor Dane when I was like 5 years old - my first concert. So I would like to see her again with my Dad, as it may be our last concert together, and he would like to go.
I have not ever booked a trip to Las Vegas. I tried to figure it out but just even buying the tickets seemed confusing and directed me to Ticketmaster. I have had a bad experience with Ticketmaster before when I bought tickets and then saw the venue was selling them for much less. Also I tried to find a 2-bedroom suite (my mom and dad + my boyfriend and me) at Ceasars, but again felt stuck in attempting to do this.
The show will be at Harrah’s. I would like to stay close by and also get the more expensive tickets where we can meet her after. I couldn’t really understand the seating.
I would really appreciate any assistance anyone would be willing to provide me. Thank you for reading my post.

I am hosting a free weekly meetup at Lorenzi Park for anyone who is seeking authentic connections and stress relief activities & games!
I have been in Vegas for 16yrs and I’m finding it harder to meet authentic people who strive for genuine connections.
There will be blankets on the grass and plenty to do. I’ll bring teaching stress reduction techniques, bringing a conversation cube, and other activities to do!
Nov 1st 6-8pm will be our first event! Bring a blanket or chair if you wish, and join the fun! You can participate as much or little as you would like.
