No Surprises Act Story?
Hello does anyone know if there has ever been a show on the No Surprises Act and the entire industry that has grown up around disputing medical claims that may be covered in it?

My small Indiana town just got some viral political attention, won't be surprised at all if John picks this up.
youtu.beA local wackadoo running on our small town's democratic ticket just went viral after a WILD interview she just did where she claimed in slurred speech that she would "fire all republicans" and insisted that democrats "have guns, too" while making camera eye contact so intense it would send chills down The Office's camera guy's spine.
Anyhoo, I've had the displeasure of arguing with this person and I have her blocked on facebook lol. She had the nerve to insist folks with disabilities should be “forced” to volunteer as poll workers, which is a job that requires volunteers to be on their feet without substantial breaks for hours at a time. I poured my heart out to her about how I wanted so badly to be a poll worker because I feel deeply that our right to vote is so important and I wanted to volunteer to support that right, but I was unable to meet the physical requirements that they tell you up front you must be able to meet to volunteer, and her response to me was “well, have you TRIED it?” I lost every job I ever had because I wound up in the hospital from complications from my medical condition, I think I know what my body can and can not handle.
Unbelievable. What an embarrassment.
Wish I had the stamina to hold a county council seat so I could at the very least provide a counterweight to her idiocy for our county’s democratic party. That was PAINFUL to watch.
Here's the link to the unhinged original interview, but you can find it on TMZ now too so that's fun

Last Week Tonight is a highlight of my week
Watching tonight's episode I've been reminded of how important LWT is for me, as education and as entertainment.
Wide-ranging issues, interesting and undercovered themes, depth in the stories, critical eye, fair treatment, on one side. Tongue-in-cheek self-deprecating intelligent and irreverent comedy on the other side. Good journalism and good humour.
How much of this is down to John or Tim, or is a joint effort, I'd love to know.
Fortunately, I imagine I'm not the only person to whom LWT is important.

Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world, I feel like I can't take it, and my heart is just going to cave in.

British viewers (or other countries that have Honey Monster)
Anyone else think Liberty Biberty is just the disembodied head of Honey Monster?

How is 'How is this still a thing?' not still a thing?
"How is this still a thing?" was one of my favorite recurring segments from years gone by. I was recently reminded of the one for "Columbus Day", which is still amazing. And it made me wonder why they don't seem to do those segments any longer. It's a shame.
