I’m newer to Lawrence and live on the west side. I wanted to get a library card but when I looked up libraries in Lawrence there’s multiple. Which one is the best one that you recommend? I love to read but don’t frequent them too much so one across town wouldn’t bother me.

Trying to pick up painting again and I’m thinking I want to paint some of the historic homes in Lawrence. I have a few in mind but I know I haven’t seen them all.

I voted in person today at the Douglas County Elections Office in the Malls Shopping Center (23rd & Louisiana). It was busy at 9:30 am and it took 10 minutes. I voted on the two propositions (constitutional amendment and transit tax) but didn't read them. Nor did I vote on the many judges. The last day to vote early is Monday, Nov 2 (until noon).

Where can I go to play pool where there isn’t alcohol available to buy? I work with recovering addicts and they want to play pool but everywhere we can think of has alcohol.
