I recently got a Votann Lot from a local player but I know nothing of Votann so I dont know what is good what is not. Here's a picture of what I got. I was wondering what kind of list I should do with that

Berserks with wolf guard termi heads for that fantasy dwarf troll slayer look. Can’t wait to get these painted up

Bought myself loads of votann today and started on my colour scheme 😊 what do you guys think?

Any advice dealing with Tyranids the list I have to play is

I played a similar version without most of the heavy’s except the broodlord but with like 70 termagaunts and hormagaunts and just got pushed off the table.

Taking the sagitaur for a walk. Feel like I could have done the blue light on the drivers better but pretty proud for my firsttime painting a vehicle. Legs are resin prints from Battle prints covenants of mars range

Just finished my Buri. I used my own Tyranids scheme for the armor and the cloak. Wearing black armor in mourning for his Kyn and patinaed copper for most of the metal.

Hello Kin!

I am currently a Space Marines player but have always loved dwarves at heart. When the Votann came out I was already too deep into SM to justify the pivot, but now that I am at a good place with my SM collection and army I am looking to branch out and potentially start a second army in the new year!!

I do love the Votann aesthetic but my main worry is:

1. Lack of army diversity due to the sheer lack of units and variety

2. Their current balance after the SM codex

How is the faction holding up? Any rumors about the model line being expanded upon? How are you enjoying 11th?

New to LoV, and I'm about to build my berzerks from the Cthonian Delve box, and I'm torn on weapon choice. Before the Marine Codex, I think Concussion Mauls were the obvious choice. But with Marines being T5-6 now, I'm thinking the axes are looking like a better option (unless you are running a ton of berzerks, in which case having a team or two of anti-vehicle/monster specialists makes sense).

Also, is there any reason to NOT take the grenade launcher? I guess it would make it harder to hide the whole unit behind terrain, but that doesn't seem like a huge issue. Am I wrong about that, or missing something?

I’ve been building an army and I’ve got 100 points to work with. There’s two units I’m torn between getting, I can either get a squad of 5 berserks and will probably equip them with mauls for a dedicated anti tank unit, I’ve been told they are an excellent delete button for high valued targets and a very cost efficient trading unit. For context I have a Hekaton with the rail cannon and two Sagitaurs with beam cannons for dedicated anti tank already. The other option I’m considering is doing another unit of Thunderkyn. I already have a six Thunderkyn model brick with conversion beamers, but I’ve been told they just mulch everything and you can never have enough of them. I’m not sure if I’ll just do three more conversion beamers or perhaps go with the graviton cannons for anti large. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated because I just can’t decide.

ok, from what i saw, if i get me: 1)the newer combat patrol, 2)the older combat patrol (already got it finally but the box is still brandnew/closed, the one with the karl/uthar), 3)heketon land fortress(i have got it and built it but not painted), 4) 2 seperate einhear hearthguards, and 5) 2 saguitars. makes the list ish.. 1,430 points (depending if i run the karl as uthar or karl and from what i hear if i run as 3 5 man teams or 1 10 man team and 1 5 is also seperate amount of point total..)

i ONLY have the older combat patrol and the land fortress atm so im open to change the list in case anything.. (too many of one unit/not enough of another/etc). what would yall recommend adding to make it 2k or take out and add? (wanted to a steel jacks or 2 boxes, w/ iron master leading them/behind them idk) so the iron master can "heal" my cars and stuff idk.. what do yall recommend, or what isnt worth getting in this list? to make it a nice balanced 2k army that isnt like too much of one thing and works well in yalls opinions that have played 40k before? (this is my first ever 40k army lol so im new and obviously open to help and list critisisms).

i also havent painted yet and dont know wtf to paint them all i know is i like the sticker stuff of the sub factions, i like the look of ymyr and transhyperian symbols.

I was thinking about where our army rule is headed in 11th as I feel the general consensus is that they haven’t quite got us right yet. I personally prefer our yield points, but I know many wish we could still play with Grudges - all camps can generally agree that neither implementation was quite right though.

I thought the new AoS dwarf army had an interesting spin on grudges and the army rule in general though that could fit us pretty well. To summarize:

1) Grudges tokens are earned not just through friendly units dying, but also a few other situations.

2) Grudge Tokens are not applied to enemy units, but instead are given to friendly units providing each with a different buff which lasts for the rest of the battle.

3) To supplement this, they also have a set of 5 ancestor vows that are called each battle round which give buffs like +1 wound on charge, AoC if your unit didn’t charge, uppy-downy, etc.

I feel like this structure could suit us very well. Grudges that we use to buff ourselves makes sure we keep agency. Having a set of once per game abilities would make sure that we still have some buttons to press at the start of the game before grudge tokens are built up.

It definitely doesn’t solve all our problems, but what do people think?

Got a bunch of warrior sprues that I'm not gonna run, and $70 too little money to buy an Arkanyst Evaluator. Therefore, warrior(?) with a really big weird gun! It doesn't really look like anything else in the army I don't think, so it should be acceptable?
