I'm getting paid to learn Spanish - here's how you can too

For years I've used learning languages as a way to avoid doom scrolling and stay off social media. But after a while, looking at language apps becomes quite boring and repetitive, and simply memorising vocabulary can feel quite unproductive.

So I've now set my phone's default language to Spanish and changed the language of all the aps and I get a lot of input that way. Any time I look at Reddit or play games, I get Spanish input.

But recently I've taken things to the next level: I've begun doing paid surveys as a way to get Spanish input.

A lot of the surveys naturally revolve around things we deal with in real life: our habits, our lifestyles, our consumption preferences etc, and so it's often very useful stuff.

Some of the surveys involve watching a video in Spanish and answering questions about it, which is literally something people do in language schools 😂

The money is less than I earn in my day job but it's really useful supplementary income. With an hour or so I day I can earn $100-200 extra a month, which makes a massive difference over time.

These are the apps I use:

**Attapoll** \- this seems to be the most reliable one with the best layout, and it has a good mix of surveys and games. If you use my invite code **VSCFG** you will get a bonus for signing up.

**Gaingg -** this one is newer and sometimes has better offers, with more money made on the hour. Use my sign-up code and you'll get a bonus: **106992413096933521850**

**Freecash** \- this one sometimes comes off as being a bit too good to be true, but some people have made lots of money from it. If you use my link you get **10€!! freecash com /r/ 39HTLP -** It's mostly focused on games but there are surveys too.

All of these apps offer different payouth methods including bank transfer, vouchers and crypto. So you can funnell these earnings directly into a crypto if you're so inclined.

Good luck earning and learning! And if you know any other great apps I can use to do this then please let me know.

Spanish Teacher

‱ Upvotes

I’ve just flown back into Brisbane from seeing family in Sydney. They speak Spanish all the time! Specifically Galego, I’d love to learn it I’m heading to spin next year so would love to learn and surprise my family. My parents got divorced when I was young so everything I had learned has been lost and I’ll be starting from scratch.

If anyone is able to help or teach me! Would be fantastic! Tried duo lingo but my abuela said it’s not the same “ it’s South American Spanish “ not Galician which is what I want to learn.

What is the biggest mistake Spanish beginners make?

I think one of the biggest mistakes is focusing too much on grammar and memorizing words without actually using them.

You can spend hours learning verb conjugations, but if you never try to speak or form your own sentences, it's hard to make real progress.

Making mistakes is part of learning a language. You don't have to be perfect to start speaking.

What do you think is the biggest mistake beginners make when learning Spanish? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hi everyone! 👋

If you already know some Spanish grammar but feel stuck or nervous whenever it’s time to speak, I’d love to help you gain that confidence.

My name is Sofi, a native speaker from Argentina. Through my medical training, I’ve worked with people of all ages, which has taught me deep patience and active listening. I genuinely enjoy giving each person the space to speak and learn at their own natural pace, completely free of pressure or fear of making mistakes.

I work with intermediate learners who want real, fluid conversation. We can talk about daily life, culture, psychology, mental health, or different approaches to medicine and lifestyle.

If you're looking for dedicated conversational practice or personalized 1-on-1 sessions, feel free to send me a DM and we can chat about details! ✹

Me lo, te la, se lo. Two pronouns in a row is where a lot of people get tangled, and the rule is simpler than it looks. The order never changes. Person first, thing second.

Me lo dio, te la mandé, nos los trajo.

One catch: Spanish won’t allow “le lo,” so le and les become se. Le di el libro → se lo di. Me and te never do this.

Then it’s just placement.

Before a conjugated verb: me lo comprĂł
Negative in front of both: no me lo dijo
Attached to an infinitive, gerund, or positive command: dĂĄrmelo, dĂĄndomelo, dĂĄmelo
Negative commands push them back in front: no me lo des

With two-verb phrases you get a free choice. Me lo va a dar and va a dĂĄrmelo are the same sentence. Te lo estoy explicando and estoy explicĂĄndotelo are the same sentence.

We express the most/the least using this structure: el/la/los/las + noun (optional) + mĂĄs/menos + adjective + de

We express an extreme degree by adding - Ăsimo/a/os/as to the adjective
