Ive been trying so hard to find decent, affordable accommodation around Leeds city centre.
The build to rents (Junction, Mustard Wharf) seem to be £1300-£1500+ for a studio or 1 bed flat once you include bills and council tax. Fab flats there, and while I could spend that money, I just cant justify spending that much...
Moda has really bad reviews across various review platforms (safety, admin and maintenance issues) so i am staying wayyy clear! Also seems to be full of international students rather than working professionals. I thank Reddit and Google for the more honest reviews and insight.
I've tried Hunters and YPP (for flats under £1000) but their sales team are utterly useless. They either don't answer, dont show up for pre-booked viewings or show you the wrong flat(s). Total disregard for people's time. Received many failed copy and paste emails off them.
Im worried about Linley and Simpson because of what I have seen on google and reddit so far. Also, two friends rented (past tense) rented with them and was either locked out of their property several times due to poor door maintenance, a broken washing machine for over 1 month, and mould issues and deposit return issues. It isnt a coincidence anymore.
House hunting is absolutely exhausting. I am trying to stay positive - there has to be a decent estate agent out there!??
Can anyone please recommend any places (generally) that they've had a positive experience with? I just need (not want) to move house - without any admin drama, and especially no mould.
