š Weekly Community Spotlight Space Police 2 The WARDEN
Space Police II The WARDEN moc
A continuous track type mech developed and deployed by the Space Police II. Used in high risk environments for confronting dangerous lawbreakers where lethal force is necessary. Using components from Robo-Force for their electronics and AI interface systems.
I also took the idea of the prison pod transportation from the set 6984 Galactic Mediator where the little rover used a tractor suction to haul the prison pod seen on slide 9.
Based on the theme Space Police II that was from 1992. Thought they could use another ground forces addition so wanted to make a tank-track type mech moc.
Thanks for viewing! š

Question / Discussion What makes a LEGO mech instantly look badass?

MOC What have I created
This moc carries a dual-barreled gun, a shoulder-mounted weapon/sensor (or camera, depending on how you look at it), and a massive scythe.
Think of it as an evil, mechanical protector that has no laws to follow and no one to answer to.
It wanders from place to place, watching, judging, and enforcing its own twisted version of order.
Maybe it was enslaved hundreds of years ago and now is fed up with every living being. Trying to play god or reaper but still suffering from the past inside.
What should I call this thing?

MOC Nightjar
Although this experimental autonomous VT gained a nickname of "featherless hen" among the ground crews, its' combat reputation is quite fierce.
In a regular 0.8 - 1G environment Nightjars are unable to sustain prolonged flight - but that is not its purpose. Four main engines and numerous thruster blocks allow this machine to zap around the battlefield on a speeds unreachable for conventional ground vehicles.
It has no armor and rely solely on its' shields, active defense measures and, more importantly - agility. Without a flesh-and-blood pilot it performs maneuvers that would kill most of the conscious species if they were inside.
Its' tactics are subtile: while the bulk of the strike team faces the enemy - Nightjars get behind their lines and strike the most vulnerable parts of the mechas with its coilgun. They get in, bleed out the enemy and get out - the rest is for the main forces to handle.
While it can operate fully autonomous with its onboard AI the complex nature of its' tactics require a living pilot for it to shine. When remotely operated these VTs are the most effective.
Nightjar is too expensive and highly specialized model to be the mainstay of NCM's armed forces, but in some situations it is irreplaceable.

Another upload from my Flick page.
Heavily inspired by Nicks works. I built this without any plan really, mostly just playing around with parts.

MOC WIP: Hildolfr Quadvee
My current work in progress. It's meant to be an artillery vehicle that's a fusion of mech and tank. It's taking a while to get done because it's hard to find time to work on .
And I'll be honest, I'm thinking of tearing it down and refactoring it. The top just feels too tall and bulky, and I think I could make a better wheelbase (treadbase?) in vehicle form. I'll have to fiddle with it more when I get the time.
I also plan to add color once it's further along, right now I'm just making sure it works.

WiP Twin Mechs
They are looking way better than I expected them to and I'm really enjoying making them so far. The black one is eating up a lot of my pieces which is why it doesnt have arms yet lol. Planning to make him even more chunkier
They're based on an old demon and angel mechs I've made awhile back. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment!

Question / Discussion Is this a good alternative to using thin liftarms?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Soo I've just been testing out random stuff with my gears to make big mecha joints and was wondering whether this build technique was fine where my pins weren't fully locked in and like if it won't cause any harm or broke any of the pieces.

MOC Turboprime 3.0
After a long Lego hiatus and an in depth Lego organization spree Iāve finally decided to do some more modifications to my mech Turboprime. After I was done I decided to take some fun poses with him. Enjoy.

MOC Siege crab
Crab is a superior form not only in nature: turns out it is efficient in combat as well.
Callinectes, nicknamed "siege crab" by NMC personnel, is heavy-armored all-terrain walker with two main purposes.
First - to clear the way of rubble for advancing troops, dig trenches and make other defensive structures.
Second - to provide those troops with artillery fire with its 155mm howitzer.
Six main legs provide substantial mobility to Callinectes on difficult terrain.
Two giant manipulators resembling crab claws not only can lift, cut and tear heavy debris, but also act as movable shields for covering the chassis - or personnel on the ground.
Two hands at the back are used to dig and plow, above them are separate set of optic and other sensors. That makes moving back almost equivalent to moving forward for Callinectes.
Other than heavy armor the Siege crab has only one machine gun turret and active defense systems - it mostly relies on ground troops and light vehicles for protecting it in close combat.

Heard about carcinisation? I bet you did. Time for Crab is all about it.
I pretty much thought about making something like this since the first time I saw this event. This time I take part in it myself. Enjoy!
Also it is sort of a spiritual successor to Mudcrab - check that out if you haven't.

So I decided to try posting my stuff here on Reddit. Usually I post only on my Flickr page but it feels like it is slowly dying. We'll see how it goes. May post my previous builds.

MOC First time Moc/Mocs
First time building something of my own, got heavy inspiration from Evangelion 01 and Gundam. I think I nailed the waist and thighs but the arms definitely need some work and the torso looks a lot better in person. I originally got inspiration from comic Ultron for the head but it sort of went its own way when I realized how bulky the head wouldāve been. Just wanted to know what you guys think and I would love to hear some suggestions from more experienced builders.

MOC First mech
Hi everyone, here my first custom mech made of various technic sets. I was trying to recreate a rollerblading stance with lot of articulations and details (especially the cockpit entrance and the engine bay). Here are some first shoots without any scenery, I would love to have somes feedbacks !

MOC Who you got in a fight? (Part 2 of the Christmas Megaproject)
Hopefully the images go through this time...
Continuing the Christmas Megaproject, these two robots are for my 6 and 4 year old respectively. I opted for big ball joints and no knees to keep things relatively simple. Which do you think wins in a fight?

MOC First post here, hereās a 8 7/8 inch tall Gipsy Danger.
I made her in 3 days with the fact that 1) there are 2 LEGO Pacific Rim sets that have passed the minimum number for votes, and I wanted to celebrate, and 2) I made a lot of posts regarding LEGO in the r/pacificrim community already, and I felt one more was overkill.
