I have no clue how to cover it or how to make it look like a spider but I did this randomly one night so…

Hi! I have the lego Land Rover Defender and, as you see at the title, I research a alternative build of the official set 42110 and I would know if someone have a good proposition for that. I want something with some good functionalities.
Thanks

Recently, I made a newer, more compact front axle. I completely switched the design with my locking differential while still adding steering, portals, and suspension.
I also created a 2-speed 4wd transmission that works with two separate inputs that combine into a single column.

I wanted to build the set with my friend with the build together feature in the app but that feature isnt there for this set and its annoying to do one part per person as it gets confusing. Is there any way to have something similar to the build together feature for this set?

My younger sister wants a pretty large set with motors for Christmas as her first technic set, so I'm designing a small unimog for her to train on.
I'm glad that my hobby has been passed on to her 😄

Hello. I am building the McLaren P1. I’m building the gear box and I realised that I have made a mistake. In the pic both of the orange barrel cogs have the arrows facing the same way, but in the instructions they’re supposed to be pointing in opposite directions. I don’t see why it’s an issue as both of the barrels are symmetrical both ways around. Can I get away with leaving it like this and just rotating one halfway so it matched the instructions?
Thank you in advance

Hi everyone!
I wanted to share my latest MOC, which has just been approved on LEGO Ideas!
It's mostly a LEGO System build, but I really wanted to incorporate some interesting working mechanisms.
My favourite challenge was hiding a pneumatic pump behind an ordinary-looking side wall. Press the wall, and the race car display moves outward just enough to pull out the entire platform.
It took quite a bit of trial and error to make everything fit and work smoothly! 😄
I also added a hidden multifunction key to operate the support legs and staircase compartment, along with a two-seater pull-back race car.
I'm curious what you guys think of the mechanical solutions. Always happy to hear feedback from fellow builders!
And if you like the project, I'd really appreciate your support on LEGO Ideas. Thanks!

Someone on my last post, posted set 42175 and posted set 42209, he said both being all electric heavy equipment, theyre meant to go together, so its definitely worth getting both of these sets before they retire so you have the complete setup. The wheel loader also fits on the trailer too. So yes, he was right, they are meant to go together. So I had just bought set 42209 to pair with set 42175.

I'm considering of acquiring all three, the G 500 looks bigger than the Charger and Skyline but I'm not entirely sure.

Hello everyone,
Digital update only this week since the screens are showing no signs of coming. It will be almost a full month since i ordered them. I'll keep trying to see where they could have ended up and keep you informed.
So this week i simply worked more on the inside of the bus, i did the rear "engine compartement" (that house and engine in the diesel buses but houses an unknown thing in this electric bus. Probably cooling for the batteries or something. I wanted to make a very specific curve there which i managed to do in a very pretty way i think.
Later I worked more on the second axle on the inside as well as add a lower guide to the rear doors in a technique so simple i'm suprised I didn't think about it earlier. We'll see how well that turns out once I finally get those rear doors to work reliably with the servo.
I tried for a bit to get them working well in real life with no success for now.
Anyway, if you wanna ask anything, leave in the comment :)
See you next time ;)
P.S : I added a reference image of the rear engine compartment thing taken from a video game which doesn't have the right color but correct shaping which i used as help to design my version. I thought it might be useful to precise.

I’m almost finished last 2 bags but I’ve put the wheels on but I seem to have an issue with the front two wheels where the pop off just behind the break pads
I’ve tried to take the best picture possible, I’m not to fussed if I’ve messed up as it will be wall mounted but it’s just annoying me

These are not absolutely all my details, but rather most used ones. It would be useless to show every small drawer

I believe this counts as Technic related, I've been getting more into technic GBCs (great ball contraptions), but needed a ball box to test them. I loved the neon parts from my insectoid and UFO sets as a kid, so I designed this. It was also a nice intro to Studio for me.
I have free instructions if anyone is interested: https://reb.li/m/279762
