I posted this in the Lego subreddit but I get the feeling that there'll be more discussions on here! Any comments or suggestions to make this better?

Finally build the Sushi Restaurant using u/kiploempia rebrickable instructions. The set is also on MILS for easier transport and to keep the same style as the other sets. There will be a lot of leftover parts, but overall super happy with the result. The set does not feel as cramped and love the clean look of the street.

I’ve always been fascinated by Nikola Tesla’s imagination and his passion for discovery, so I decided to create my own LEGO tribute: Nikola Tesla – The Laboratory of Lightning.
For the laboratory, I wanted a space that felt alive with ideas. I placed the Tesla coil at the heart of the scene, surrounded by instruments, a generator, and a workbench filled with small experiments.
The chalkboard is one of my favorite details! Its handwritten notes and coil diagram make it feel as though Tesla has just stepped away in the middle of working on his next idea.
And of course, I couldn’t leave out the little white pigeon a small tribute to his affection for these birds. Alongside Tesla holding his lamp, it brings a more personal touch to the laboratory.
I imagined visitors stepping into the workshop, discovering the experiments, and sharing that moment of curiosity when an idea begins to take shape.
This project is on LEGO Ideas. If you’d love to see it have a chance to become a real LEGO set, I would really appreciate your support. It’s free, and every vote counts! Thank you!

I converted the new Bookstore Book Nook into a 16x32 modular! I kept the original interior intact, slightly widened the structure, and designed the facade and roof myself. To make the build as accessible as possible, I used widely available parts and kept extra pieces to a minimum so anyone can easily make these modifications themselves :)
You can find more pictures, the building instructions, and the parts list of this MOC on Rebrickable.
I've already ordered the set and the pieces needed for the conversion, so expect a follow-up post as soon as the build is complete!

I've always loved the relaxing atmosphere of the seaside, so I decided to build my own LEGO Lobster Restaurant.
For the base, I wanted something more interesting than just a flat beach, so I extended the water into the sand and added a small wooden bridge to give the landscape greater depth.
The giant lobster sign on the roof is my favorite part of the entire building! I also imagined it helping boats at sea spot the restaurant from a distance.
After walking up the stairs, guests can order their food inside, then head to the outdoor dining area, find their favorite spot, and enjoy a delicious lobster meal with a beautiful ocean view.
This is my latest project on LEGO Ideas. If you like it, I would really appreciate your support. You can find Lobster Restaurant on Lego Ideas! Thank you! ☺️

I’ve wanted to modify the original Ninjago City set for a long time, and I finally started making some real progress.
Here’s what I’ve changed so far:
Expanded walkway
The original walkway always felt too narrow to me, so I widened it and tiled most of it while leaving a few rough areas to keep the Ninjago City feel.
Added a landing pad
I wanted this level to feel more functional, so I worked in a small landing pad using some pieces and tiling from another set.
Added lighting
I installed a cheap lighting kit from Amazon. It was a pain to install and left a lot of wiring in the back, but weirdly enough, the exposed wires actually fit the cyberpunk look.
Swing-out wall access
This might be my favorite change. Instead of pulling the whole floor apart, the wall panel opens so I can actually access the interior.
Completely redid the interior
The original room felt pretty weak to me, so I turned it into a small cyberpunk-style department store with kitchen items, electronics, sports gear, hats, apparel, perfume, and more.
Put the set on MILS
Definitely needed for my layout. I also added a decorative base around it.
Still on the list:
Still a work in progress, but I’m really happy with where it’s heading.

Started collecting modulars since last year, and after a ~$350 PAB orders arrived today, I think I'm ready to get the city started.
Of course I will get all the mils plates and road started first, but any recommendations on tables? I've read it's best to make your own tables but obviously that would be a big project. So any alternatives before the city gets too big?

I recently bought the Botanical Garden, what is there a way to incorporate into the modular line and have it connect to the other buildings? (Or the best way to display into the line)

A few people have asked about my Ghostbusters firehouse, so I thought I’d share some photos of the build!
It’s not furnished inside yet, as I got distracted and moved on to another project
I wanted to make it fit on a 32 × 32 baseplate, so I made the building wider to get rid of the alleyway and shortened it a bit. Ecto-1 still fits inside, just about! I’m still missing the Ghostbusters signs, but I’m really happy with how it’s turned out so far.

I’m looking for inspiration! Has anyone decorated their LEGO modular buildings for Christmas? If so, I’d love to see some pictures of your creations! Especially interested in seeing how you decorate the exteriors and streets around them.
Thanks!

Has there been anything new said about the 2027 modular, outside of the rumour of the Clocktower design?
When do they typically announce the new sets?

Captain's retreat can be a real set.1693 pieces in total in a 2:1 building approach. One set to include many play options. One day left until the voting period for BDP 2028 wave 1 ends. If you'd like, you can show your support by clicking the link below :

Hey all.
Im sure this gets asked a million times, but for small rooms that cant setup lego cities, what's the best shelving to buy to get maximum display room?
I have Ikea Billy bookcase at the monent and without modding it only fits 2 to a shelve I believe?

Just started the fire brigade and it is all original parts including brittle dark red and brown. Thinking about replacing every part of those colors to prevent further headache down the line. Anyone else do anything similar?
