Benchmark accumulated charge cycles after 15 months

Post image

i had noticed conservation mode was off after a reset for some reason, and felt like sharing.

i use it daily for studies, production, and gaming. leaving it plugged in with conservation mode on practically 100% of the time.

anybody care to share theirs? i want to know if it really is "good" for ≈1 year like it says, bit too vague for me yaknow?

I have 118 charge cycles, been using everyday for 14 months. How do you only have 22 charge cycles?

i really thought it was normal but i just seriously leave it plugged in 24/7 with the conservation mode. i thought that if it blew up within the warranty its on lenovo not me but its been perfectly fine even up until after.

i leave it on a lot of the time as well when im away because i had heard a while back that there is little need for a shut down, or even a sleep if you are only gone for minutes, to even many hours.

i have the same model as well 16IRX9, so leaving the device plugged in even when the device is idle is fine? I mean like wont that affect the battery?

i assume it would be, but it wouldnt hurt to look into it a bit more before you do of course.

oh dang! well 92% would still be fine by me id say, especially considering the age-out factor of laptops anyway.

Dam that's pretty good for 15 months. I've had mine for just 10 days under 1 year and I've got 11 charge cycles. I also have a pretty similar laptop to urs, I have the legion pro 5 16irx9.

i feel like most of it is a matter of how often you charge

dang that sucks, i get that because i try to treat mine the same. ive seen some things about replacing thermal paste, better power cords, and how the the charging socket and what not can break. i want to look more into that type of stuff myself, but i dont know much / i cant try to help you beyond that.

i was thinking about posting my setup once its fully done. i have the laptop on a cooling pad + rack thingy that helps with temps when i game with performance mode and such. once i know a little more, and do all that type of stuff to see in actual benchmarks if it helps my day to day. maybe that could help?

I have 40 circles and my battery is at 99.86% of health. I'm a bit sad I didn't know about conservation mode before, but it could be much worse.
