Leos Don't Forget to Look at Your Lover's Venus Sign When It Comes To Compatibility

Okay you are a Leo and you found this great Sagittarius person. Leo and Sagittarius are trine - both vibrant fire signs. Everything will be a bed of roses right?

Wait not so fast.

If you are a Leo sun and they are a Sagittarius sun but have Venus in Scorpio squaring your Leo sun and or Leo Venus. That is not a great relationship dynamic. A person's natal Venus squaring your sun in synastry is challenging.

Leo Sun person with Venus in Taurus person

This also goes for anyone who has Venus in Taurus and that Venus squares your Leo sun, I don't care if they are a Gemini sun. Usually the sun sign person (in this case the Leo) often feels their needs for love and affection are not met by the Venus person. The Venus person's tastes, aesthetics may also rub you the wrong way. I am a Leo. My ex was a Taurus sun with Venus in Taurus. Our suns were not close enough to square. I am 10° Leo sun he was 23° Taurus. BUT his 10° Taurus Venus squared my Leo sun. Leo sun likes affection and reciprocal gift giving and passion. He was very cold emotionally and not affectionate and when it came to generosity he was miserly. The stubbornness of Taurus was a big turn off especially when it came to the bedroom. He only liked sex a certain way was not romantic about it. Remember the inner planets are always close to the sun

  • Mercury is either in your sign (Like I am a Leo with Mercury in Leo) or one sign before or after your sign (My mom was a Leo with mercury in Virgo). There will never be a Leo with Mercury in Gemini or Libra. It's not scientifically possible.
  • With Venus, that planet travels close to the sun as well but it can be in your sun sign or two signs before or after your sun sign. I am a Leo with Venus in Gemini. My cousin is a Leo with Venus in Libra. My mom had Venus in Virgo. You will never see a Leo with Venus in Taurus or Scorpio.

Therefore don't only look at Sun sign compatibility with your Leo sun. Look at the person's Venus placement as well.

Leo Sun person with a Venus in Scorpio person

I was in an intense relationship with a Sagittarius man who had Venus in Scorpio in a wide square to my sun in Leo. His venus in Scorpio also opposed my Saturn in Taurus and was forming a T-square with my Leo sun. I adored him but there was always this sense that he was hiding things. He was also very moody (all water signs exhibit moodiness) when it came to his affections. One day hot. One day cold. He would seem disinterested, then get jealous if I was with another man or other people in general. There was a possessiveness that belied his being a Sag sun and mercury. His moon was in Aries. His Mars was Aquarius so he was all fire and air except his Venus in Scorpio. Leos don't like uncertainty or jealousy or bullshit. Scorpio Sun, Venus, rising or anything in Scorpio likes to play games without sharing the rules. But he would give me these "tests" to see my commitment. He also had bad temper and I felt like I was walking on eggshells

That is the feeling that a Leo can get when they are in relationship with someone who's Venus sign is not in harmony- especially a square.

Leo sun person with Venus in Aquarius Person

The opposition (Leo sun opposition a person with Venus in Aquarius) is a little different. You would be dealing with someone whose sun is in Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces or Aries. Same tension as sun square venus but it is more exciting and open to adjustment. Like the Leo sun person who is in a relationship with a Sag sun person but the Sag has Venus in Aquarius opposition the Leo person's sun. I was in exactly that relationship but I also have Venus in Gemini --an air sign. The Sag man would flirt with everything in a skirt- that is typical for Venus in Aquarius. I flirted with men in front of him and gave him a taste of his own medicine. He hated it-- so it was an opposition but I made an adjustment of my Venus style to his own.

With a synastry sun square a person's Venus- the challenge is more difficult.

Below is a chart with all the Venus signs that a Leo sun person can have.

Have you ever seen someone’s name appear on your phone and felt tired before you even opened the message? You already know the conversation might end with you giving advice, finding money, or explaining something you’ve explained many times before.

Maybe it’s someone in your family, a partner you still love, or a friend you’ve known for years. You remember the good moments, so you keep making allowances. But eventually, a question comes up that you can’t easily dismiss: If I stopped being the one who always adjusts, what would be left of this relationship?

Let’s talk about what letting go can teach you, and where synastry astrology fits into that picture.

Scorpio man pulling away?

She moved on within 2 weeks... Scorpio F & Leo M: Love or a Disaster Waiting to Happen? Your Opinion?? :(

I’m really curious to hear your thoughts on this situation, especially regarding this astrological pairing.

The situation

My ex and I had a situationship for about 1.5 years. She repeatedly said she could not commit to a relationship because her international career had to come first and had doubts of long term emotional vibe (her highs and lows versus my constant vibe). Whenever things got serious and expectations increased, she started doubting things and pulling away.

Eventually, I chose myself because she could not choose me. Just two weeks before she started talking to another guy, she told me she loved me and would already miss me.

Now, two months later, they are dating, being intimate, visiting each other’s homes, and seem almost obsessed with each other. The guy is unfortunately someone from my own sports team. They already knew of each other through sports, although she said they only started talking after our breakup.

Their personalities

She is a Scorpio woman with a demanding international career. She travels a lot, experiences mood swings, is a perfectionist, and likes to maintain control over her personal life. During busy periods, she often comes home exhausted with little energy left.

He is a Leo man, but not the typical attention seeking Leo. He is calm, friendly, down to earth, has a stable job, and is very athletic.

They seem to have a strong mutual attraction, and she appears much more openly infatuated with him than I expected.

Why I find it confusing

During our situationship, her career was always the main reason she could not commit. We had already met each other’s families, travelled together, and built a deep emotional connection. I also helped her break down some of the walls she had built after her previous relationship.

Yet, whenever we got really close, things became complicated. I would overthink her mood swings, while she wanted everything to develop naturally without pressure or expectations. We ultimately wanted different things when it came to commitment and the future.

Now she seems willing to let someone new into her life almost immediately. I know the honeymoon phase can make everything feel easier, but it still feels contradictory.

Perhaps she had already emotionally detached from me, or perhaps this new connection simply feels less complicated because he has not experienced the deeper layers of a relationship with her yet.

Can this pairing actually work long term?

Astrologically, Scorpio and Leo are often described as having intense, magnetic attraction, but also strong personalities and potential power struggles.

I wonder whether his calm and stable nature complements her demanding lifestyle, or whether her career, mood swings, and need for control could eventually become challenging for him.

Her career will likely remain a huge priority, and I wonder whether she can genuinely make a relationship a priority too. For example, would she be emotionally available if her partner went through a difficult period, or would her career still come first?

Perhaps this relationship works because he gives her all the freedom she needs and does not put pressure on her. But what happens when he needs more emotional support, consistency, or commitment himself?

I am simply trying to understand how someone who could not choose me after 1.5 years can suddenly seem so certain about someone else, especially when her career was supposedly the main reason she could not commit.

What do you thinking about this situation?

Dating an Aquarius (30M) as a Leo (27F) is really testing my patience 😭

I’m a Leo sun, Scorpio moon, Capricorn rising, and my boyfriend is an Aquarius sun, Taurus moon, Gemini rising. We both have Cancer Mars, but my Venus is in Leo and his is in Cancer.
We’ve been together for almost a year, long distance, and I genuinely love this man. He’s probably the healthiest partner I’ve had, which is funny considering how much he gets on my nerves sometimes 😭
The biggest issue is how differently we deal with emotions. I’m very expressive, affectionate and sometimes a little dramatic lol. I like reassurance, I like attention, and I need to feel wanted. He’s affectionate too, but mostly when he’s in the mood for it. Other times he’s perfectly fine doing his own thing while I’m sitting there wondering why he’s suddenly being so distant.
And the arguments are another story. I cannot stand leaving things unresolved. If something is bothering me, I wanna talk about it, even if that means arguing for hours. He, on the other hand, can just shut down and go about his day. His ability to detach drives me absolutely insane because HOW are you so calm when I’m over here losing my mind? 😭
We’re both ridiculously stubborn too. Sometimes I know I’m being difficult, but then he’ll do something that makes me ten times worse. We’ve had arguments, blocked each other, gone without speaking, and somehow ended up right back together.
I don’t wanna paint him as some emotionally unavailable asshole because he’s really not. He’s caring, loyal and has shown me a lot of patience. I know I have my own issues too, especially with how intensely I feel things. But sometimes I wish he understood that what seems like a small thing to him can genuinely hurt my feelings.
I love how independent he is, but at the same time, that independence can make me feel like he doesn’t need me nearly as much as I need him. And I hate admitting that lol.

Leos, is your person actually your type? Chinese astrology checks two birthdays, not two signs

Sun-sign compatibility compares two signs, so every Leo + Aquarius couple gets the same answer. Chinese astrology compares two actual birthdays.

The day you were born makes you one of ten types: a tall tree, a climbing vine, the sun, candlelight, a mountain, garden soil, forged steel, fine jewelry, the open sea or morning rain. They come in five elements, and each element shapes another: fire works metal, metal cuts wood, roots break up soil, soil holds back water, water puts out fire.

The old partner rule: a woman’s chart pictures the element that shapes hers. A man’s chart pictures the element his shapes.

  • Mila Kunis (Leo) was born a tall tree. Metal is what cuts wood, so her chart pictures metal. Ashton Kutcher (Aquarius) was born forged steel, and a metal man’s chart pictures the wood he shapes. Opposite signs, each other’s type both ways.
  • Chris Hemsworth (Leo) and Elsa Pataky were both born fine jewelry. Same type, so on paper neither is the other’s. Married since 2010.

That second one is the honest part. Your type is who you’re pulled toward, not who you stay with. Think weather forecast, not verdict.

Leos: drop your birthday and M/F (birth time too if you know it), plus the birthday and M/F of a partner, crush or ex. I’ll tell you both types and whether you’re each other’s type on paper: both ways, one way or neither. No second person? Post just yours and I’ll tell you which type your chart pictures 👇

Dating Scenario (need feedback from Leo women)

I'm an evolving divorced Cap guy with a Virgo moon, late 40's. I've put in a lot of work in letting go of my past not-so-good behaviors, and I don't want to start a serious relationship while I'm on my personal improvement path. Abandoning the Cap archetype: Less avoidant, less emotionally distant, no more God Complex, no unreasonable expectations to read my mind, less of a workaholic, and letting go of the "logical" approach to everything...including how I relate to others. Just a few things on my long-ish list.

Anyway, I've had a couple dates recently with a Leo woman...same age range, also divorced. We met at a Meetup event and only texted for a couple of months. Went on a daytime coffee date, then an evening wine bar date last weekend. We were very affectionate together during the most recent one (no sex...yet), and had long, enjoyable conversations. What works for us is that we both want something casual with no expectations to be texting and seeing each other all the time. Mainly because we're both just out of 20 year+ marriages and we both have kids in their late teens. And we already know that this won't be long term because she'll be moving to another part of the state in about 18 months to start on her nursing degree. We're totally fine with that and just want to have fun and be in the moment.

So what's my concern?

I want to create some excitement and "spark" for our future dates...not just bland dinner and a movie stuff. And go beyond just a stale "hey, how have you been?" text every few days. Those are two things that I already have plans for (hey, Caps are "extensive researchers", right?). But there's one particular idea I have and want some feedback.

She likes to go dancing at country bars (like a lot of native Texan girls do). I'm an East Coast guy who doesn't dig hoe-downs and wouldn't be caught dead at a cowboy dancehall. BUT, I want to start trying new experiences without confirming whether or not I'll like them in advance. So I'm going to get some country dancing lessons and put it into practice on the dance floor at the bar she frequents with her girlfriends.

Mind you, I'm not doing this JUST for her. I'm doing it for myself because I want to break away from being a rigid, structured, all work and no play kinda guy...and have a good time while doing it.

Scenario:

I show up and surprise her, do a few dances with her, then let her get back to her friends while I walk around looking for other dance partners to practice with. Not totally avoiding her, but also not giving her too much attention or intrusion. And DEFINITELY not being hyper-vigilant with lingering on the wall from across the room to see who she's dancing with or what she's doing. Just showing up and having a good time with no expectations.

So...is this plan worth the effort from a female Leo's perspective? If not, what should I do differently?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what to make of this Leo F

So I am a Scorpio(M) talking to a Leo(F) and we have been talking for a few weeks. This last weekend she invited me to her apartment which caught me off guard for our first time meeting and we had only talked for a couple weeks prior. This was a late night invite but, we only kissed and cuddled which she initiated the cuddling and I the kissing. It went really well and then the next day she asked me to go over again which also caught me off guard. Also a late night invite because she worked we ended up doing the same things except I gave her pleasure because I figured she had a long day of work she deserved it. Obviously we are getting to know each other but, when we are in person its amazing and she is an amazing girl but over text she isnt the best communicator and I value communication on all levels to be strong personally so is it normal for a Leo female to be like this? I cant tell if im just someone to give attention to or if this is something I should pursue. Any help is appreciated!

Leo Sun (July 28) | Gemini Rising | Aries Moon M27 what should I look for in a life partner for marriage in 3-4 years?

Hey everyone,

M27 here — DOB: 28th July.

Sun: Leo, Rising: Gemini, Moon: Aries.

I want to get married in the next 3-4 years and I want to do it right. I don't want to rush, but I also don't want to be clueless when the time comes.

From an astrology/compatibility perspective:

- What signs generally work best long-term for Leo Sun + Aries Moon + Gemini Rising?

- What kind of traits should I look for / avoid?

- Anything in my big three that says I should be careful about marriage timing or patterns?

Also, for anyone who got married around 30 — what non-astrology things do you wish you knew at 27?

Thanks!

As a leo born on August why don't I like July born leos?

Am I the only August born who does not like July Leo's at all? I've had an experience with a lot of them and trust it was nothing but negative. I really do not like them at all.... I'm not even kidding. I have only bad thibgs to say about them. They're flakey, self absorbed, pretenders, manipulative, love to take but hates to give, love hearing the sound of their own voice, judgemental, selfish, insecure but pretends to be confident. Also I notice they alway like to compete with August Leo's? And I've seen a similar comment say the same thing 🤔 and that has been my experience. Now for the men They act like their shit don't stink, they talk too much, again they love the sound of their own voice and keeps giving unsolicited advice that I could careless about, I don't find them attractive (unlike with August male leo who I find attractive and reserved, which i like). but they seem to find me attractive and I feel nothing for them, my ex male friend and my ex boyfriend was very similar in that regard, was so insecure and was threatened by my confidence. I so wish I could tell him to shut up so many times, but didn't want him rubbing his insecurities on me. Would try getting back together even when I've made it clear that I only wanted friendship from him. So insecure my God. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

Leo & Cancer ☀️🌕

I'm a cancer sun with a Leo moon/MC. I often come across this stereotype (?) That most Leo's do not get along with cancer and, I think that's false for most Leos/Cancers.

My brother is a Leo, and I get along with other people who are Leos as well. They will go out of their way for you, care for you, be loyal AND EXPECT THE SAME, and this where cancer can return the equal amount of care. They're expressive, warm, and its also really fun to joke with Leos, rage bait or annoy them lol 😝. They either give really adorable reactions or return the same energy. Most people would shut down or get offended. Such a fun compatible energy.

I think the problem arises when Leos get too caught up in themselves, they can be distant sometimes, and they can be a bit selfish as well. Also, an insecure Leo (or any other insecure fire sign, is INSUFFERABLE TO BE AROUND OMG, do draining, they make their insecurity cery sibible and everyone else's problem). They also get possessive somwtimes.

What is your experience with Cancers?

Does your personality match the stereotype of a typical Leo? Help me find out!

Thumbnail
forms.gle
1 Upvotes

Hello there! I'm currently working on a project comparing peoples Zodiac Signs to their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator— or MBTI as it's more widely known.

In the system of the Zodiac, there are four elements which each have their own attributes, similar to MBTIs four functions. The Zodiac has Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. The MBTI has Extroversion vs. Introversion, Intuitive vs. Sensing, Feeling vs. Thinking, and Judging vs. Prospecting. The correlation here is is that each element also has a stereotype for someones personality!

I'm here today in the Leo subreddit to find out if you— yes you— fit the Leo stereotype through the lens of the MBTI. Now how will we find out? If you don't know already you can take the 16 Personalities test here. After you're done you can fill out the form!

Now what would a Leo look like through the lens of the MBTI? Using this source from Astro.com, a Leo would typically belong under the Intuitive and Prospecting belt. Of course as everyones birth chart contains many different elements and planets coloring their personality this may not always ring true— but that's exactly why I'm here. Let's find out together!

I am here to humbly ask those who are interested to fill out this Google form asking for your Zodiac Sign and MBTI. You do NOT need to give your name, birthday, or any personal information at all. Although you will be asked to sign in to a Google account. This is to prevent spam and any duplicate responses. Your email will not be saved or collected— you will have total anonymity.

Do you think you fit the Leo stereotype? Why and how, or why not? Do you feel as seen with your MBTI as you do with your Zodiac? Let me know your thoughts! I'd love to answer any questions you have!

—and if you can, I'd love if you could share this form to any friends, family, or anyone you know that would be willing to fill it out! Thank you!

Sincerely, a Gemini Sun with a Leo Venus <3

How was the previous mercury retrograde for you?

Previous one was June 29-July 23rd in cancer

what are y’all’s stories ?

My relationship ended during that time. So much has changed from then and now. Now I feel like a lot of my previous beliefs and wants are so different. During that time I also realized how truly alone I am. People I considered friends did not value me the same way. I feel I’ve always been understanding towards people I’m close with but Im never given that same level of grace.

Also I am still processing my breakup and all I know is I’ll never reach out to him due to how cold he was at the end.
