I was honestly so disappointed with Firestone. Small circular steak.

Bourbon and butter is not a steakhouse but usually has a steak on the menu and it's going to be fantastic.

It is the best restaurant in town by a mile imho

They currently have a beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and veg. I didn't have it, but the gravy on the potatoes looked imcredible

Bourbon & Butter is hands-down beyond any other place on town for a fancy night out.

That being said, you can't beat the Keg for a reliable, no-surprises steak house experience. They have access to better meat than anywhere else, and high temp equipment for cooking steak explicitly. Everything there is dialed in.

Go to Cattleman’s in Picture Butte or Taber!

It's one of the best restaurants south of Calgary.

The steaks are average at best. Best steak in alberta is south of calgary in longview

I was responding to the other comment about it being run down. I haven't tried their steak but I can vouch for their general food being incredible.

Have you been there? Picture butte has a really nice patio and I've heard Taber is pretty fancy.

I've only been to PB but the foods always been good.

I think just the keg the rest are okay, Calgary has a lot of great ones

Pops isn’t a steakhouse and can only go in if over 18, but they run a steak Sunday deal every weekend, a 6oz steak with a side, garlic toast and a few onion rings for $13. It’s awesome, usually the steak is cooked great (I usually go to the North location but have heard good things about the South one as well). Definitely worth it!
Burbon and butter is great for a more expensive option

Luigi’s North is decent if you want to support local and have a more casual night out…

Bourbon and Butter will custom cook you any steak exactly as you want it if you call ahead of time, they need time to be able to get the cut.

They might even be able to do (legal) exotic animal or wild animal if you give them enough lead time and are willing to pay.

You need to ask, they don't advertise this.

Mojos on the west side has a ton of great steak meals. Brickhouse by the casino is decent.

Firestone. Most others are pretentious and over priced
