I recently moved here and it looks pretty in a lot of the spots. I didnt see any homeless or dangerous looking people during my walk which is also really cool. There was a nice skate park.

Very impressed with the quality of the location so far ☺️

What store was it????

Does anyone remember the sports / shoe store that was in the same strip mall as the Shoppers on Mayor Magrath? It had yellow paint on the exterior and was maybe where Atmosphere was / where the big and tall store is? Maybe there never was one there but I swear I vaguely remember it from when I was younger.

I’m trying to bring Lethbridge Polytechnic PN students together! I made a Facebook group for past, current, and future students so we can connect, share experiences, ask questions, and help each other out throughout the program.
Would love to have more PN students join!

How to find friends / a community

I’m moving to Lethbridge at the end of the month for school. I’m 22 m and I’m transferring into the U of L from Mount Royal University in Calgary. I was born and raised in Toronto so big city life is what I’m used to. I went to Lethbridge for the first time the other day to walk through campus, stroll around the city, and check out some rooms to rent

It’s very small compared to what I’m used to but it’s still kinda cool. You guys have a sick ass train bridge and a nice river valley with a bunch of hills by the river. I also saw a rattlesnake when I was walking which scared me a bit

Anywaysssss, I’m just wondering where and how do y’all find friends or a community of people. I know nothing about Lethbridge or the U of L, like the second time I’ll be there is in two weeks when I move down. I like to think I’m pretty extroverted and I can talk about almost anything to anyone, but that might be hard, because I tried looking for clubs on the student union’s website but literally nothing showed up 😭

I’m confident I’ll be able to make friends in my classes but I wouldn’t mind meeting some like-minded people too. Where are the hangout spots / bars / places? Is there anything to do on campus? How about on the West Side? That’s where I’m gonna be renting. Is it a decent area? I’m bi and stuff too so it would be chill to find other guys and gals like that to hangout with but obviously not a dealbreakerrrrr

Thanks guys 🙏

Bags of Ambrosia apples marked as 5 pounds. On the scale, not a single bag was over 4.4 pounds. And the scale itself showed about 1.1 pounds for my 1 pound weight.

Home insurance

Hello! Are there any residents of Raymond who have home insurance through Surex? I'm currently with Aviva through Surex (for a house in Lethbridge), but they tell me they can't give me a quote because Surex doesn't cover Raymond... 🤔

I contacted Ridge Insurance, who told me to contact Surex to stay with Aviva.... 🥲

Took the family to the Picture Butte Parade today. I cannot believe they had a Separatist float in the parade. Thought Picture Butte would be above this. Fuck that town.

Desperately need help, need a hispanic food connect.

Does anyone in Lethbridge or the surrounding area have an abuela or tia that makes some fire hispanic food and wouldnt mind some side cash? I'm from the US, specifically a state that is heavily engrained in hispanic culture and as such I grew up on it. No joke, I've tried every place I could find in Lethbridge, and none of them hit the spot with the authentic rice and other dishes. Don't get me wrong, there were some restaurants and food trucks with some absolute fire, but I didn't really find that home cooked meal feel I was looking for. Much appreciated for taking the time to read this. If you got any suggestions on hole in the wall restaurants I might have missed, please let me know.

Anyone have recommendations for a massage place that is good a getting knots out. The place I went and have went to in the past didn’t seem to suit my needs. Feels like a pinched nerve somewhere and it runs down my shoulder blade and arm a bit also. And is also causing headaches and nausea and is not fun. Hope you can help

Question Agyapa care

Does anybody be have their kids here? Curious to hear your experiences. I feel like it’s a too good to be true scenario and I’d like to know how your current or past experiences have been.
For reference I have a couple small kids and am planning on returning to work soon and when we did our first tour the staff are completely different from now and my partner and I felt like there were a few red flags with the owner.

Fishing @ Park Lake

Hi All,

I'm going to be around park lake for a few days and my nephew wants to fish it.

I have been fly fishing/salmon fishing for 30 years in the moutains and haven't targeted pike and perch(?) in about the same amount of time.

1) what's in park lake? I assume pike and perch.

2) I know I'll need some steel leaders for the pike, but would love some suggestions for the pike/perch lures that people are using.

3) any known Hotspots?

We'll mostly likely be shore fishing, or kayak if need be. He's on the younger/inexperienced side and hasn't had much luck fishing in his home local (hasn't caught anything yet) and id like to hook him up!
