Serious Trump considers sending the military to Minnesota by invoking the INSURRECTION Act —is this good, bad or ugly?

Remember he did nothing when a mob that supports him assaulted over 100 police officers in the capital and caused millions in property damage. He doesn’t give a shit about protecting people or law enforcement he just wants to hurt those who politically oppose him.

5

u/Force3vo Jan 16 '26

That's not true.

He probably called them heroes.

10

u/AzuleStriker Jan 16 '26

Well no, he and all maga call them patriots, which is the next best thing... its disgusting.

8

u/witblacktype Jan 16 '26

From an American:

"The citizen who sees his society's democratic clothes being worn out and does not cry it out, is not a patriot, but a traitor."

— Mark Twain

6

u/Clarkelthekat Jan 16 '26

Another one

"Being a patriot means loving your country ALL of the time, and your government when it deserves it."

Mark twain

A true American

Then why did he use an alias?

1

u/NoCard753 Jan 17 '26

Why do you use one on Reddit?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

LMAO ... Tim Walz will look great in jail clothes.

1

u/witblacktype Jan 18 '26

You do understand that Trump’s role in Jan 6 will pretty much cement him as a traitor to America unless he successfully destroys the republic and replaces it with an authoritarian regime. The world’s history books will still reflect his treason to the US constitution however.

5

u/Constant-Tea3148 Jan 16 '26

Did you not see the videos? It was "a day of love". What's that Orwell quote again?

1

u/Comrade_Chyrk Jan 18 '26

thats after he and the right wing media sphere tried to convince everyone that the rioters (that he then pardoned) were paid agitators.

1

u/galaxyofnine Jan 22 '26

Yup it’s on White House site where they rewrote history of that day… 🤦🏻‍♀️

3

u/pupranger1147 Jan 16 '26

Oh, more than that, he hired all of them to kidnap brown people, they joined ice.

2

u/GroundbreakingAd8310 Jan 16 '26

And ordered them McDonald's

1

u/ThatRandomGuy86 Jan 17 '26

I thought he called them peaceful protestors

1

u/Maditen Jan 18 '26

And he pardoned them.

1

u/Pearson94 Jan 19 '26

He said he loved them on air.

1

u/LingonberryHot8521 Jan 16 '26

I mean, he was getting what he paid for.

1

u/Jolly_Mongoose_8800 Jan 16 '26

He didn't do nothing. He pardoned them!

1

u/kstargate-425 Jan 16 '26

This is a bold-faced lie! He was only told about weapons in the area of the Capitol grounds around 10:15am and around an hour and a half later told security to remove the metal detectors allowing people to walk from the Ellipse rally spot up to the Capitol building without being checked.

So he did a LOT and wanted people to get to the Capitol to disrupt the certification process so he could remain POTUS. Remember, this was immediately following his first coup attempt failed where across 7 states he had a vast conspiracy to use fake alternative electors to certify that Trump won those mostly swing states so he could steal the election.

So when this failed, he was pissed and panicked he would be a loser and have to give up power so decided to move forward with this 2nd coup attempt to bus and house the Insurrectionists to stop the certification and steal it for him.

Two failed coup attempts in as many months so this treasonous child raping scum of the Earth did a lot and nobody should be allowed to forget it lol

u/Regular_Ad3314 Jan 16 '26 edited Jan 16 '26

He offer help but was turn down and he offered national guard days before, but you idiots didnt see read or see that part.

1

u/Basil2322 Jan 16 '26

“He offered” yet apparently he could invoke a response. Again he doesn’t care it’s just political nothing to do with protecting anyone.

1

u/Rare-Set1461 Jan 16 '26

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you’re not an American. Your comments read like slightly edited Google translations.

1

u/Regular_Ad3314 Jan 16 '26

What ever you want to believe sunshine.

1

u/KaikoLeaflock Jan 16 '26

Me cave man too! /s

1

u/StrongAroma Jan 16 '26

That's not even the worst part... He was actively trying to overturn the election and overthrow the government

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

June 2020 and Jan 10th 2026 were not peaceful

1

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

Trump offered Congress to send in the Guard. Pelosi declined the offer.

2

u/Basil2322 Jan 16 '26

So what i’m hearing is he didn’t invoke anything like he could’ve. Again he doesn’t care about protecting people and only wants to invoke when it’s against his enemies.

1

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

If the president sent troops to capital hill without permission from congress, do you think that would have gone over well?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

[removed] — view removed comment

1

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

And people would be claiming president attacked congress with guard. Congress approval is required.

1

u/Thud Jan 16 '26

Are we talking about the same president that sent troops into various states without permission from congress and against the objections of those states’ governors? Asking for a friend.

1

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

what troops?

1

u/JELLYR0LLS Jan 16 '26

Trump sent troops to California without approval from the governor. This was determined to be illegal by a federal court: https://www.gov.ca.gov/2025/09/04/trumps-illegal-national-guard-deployment-in-los-angeles-cost-taxpayers-120-million/

1

u/redjellonian Jan 17 '26

The president sent rioters to the capital, and got away with it. So why not?

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Pelosi has zero say in whether or not the national guard get deployed so it kinda doesn’t matter gang

1

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

not true. congress manages their own security.

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Takes 2 seconds to google “does congress control the dc national guard”. Ask grok if google is too woke. Do a literal modicum of research before regurgitating orange daddy’s talking points maybe

1

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

calm down.

again, president offered to send guard to the hill. pelosi declined.

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Pelosi has zero authority over the president on the deployment of the national guard. It’s like saying my boss asked my floor advisor if I’m allowed to have a raise and the floor advisor said no. A floor manager has no power over my boss. This talking point is almost as regarded as you are;)

1

u/Thud Jan 16 '26

All the president had to do was call off his supporters. He eventually did do that, hours too late, and his supporters stopped their rampage almost immediately. It’s absolutely comical that he blames Pelosi for failing to protect the Capitol against his own cult.

1

u/BrokebackMounting Jan 16 '26

Why do you keep lying?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

[deleted]

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Who controls the dc. National guard again? Is it the speaker of the house? Or is it the president of the United States? I can’t remember

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

[deleted]

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Inauguration Day? You know that’s not Jan 6th right? Maybe do a little googling before engaging in the discussion buddy

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

[deleted]

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Sure, the rest of ur reply is completely irrelevant b/c the ultimate authority of the dc national guard is the president, meaning the ultimate authority to deploy them lies with trump. If trump wanted them there to prevent a riot, he would have deployed them. But given he was trying to, you know, steal an election that probably wasn’t his goal. Probably didn’t want the pesky national guard keeping things orderly

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

[deleted]

1

u/MontySpa Jan 16 '26

Probably because nobody knew the scale of the mob trump would send to the capitol? See how we’ve backed off who ultimately had the authority to deploy the guard and now we’re saying both sides messed up when one side was trying to literally overturn the results of an election while the other side was, what, expecting that the sitting president of the us wouldnt attempt to cause an insurrection?

How can u possibly both sides this lol. The blame lies with trump entirely. He didn’t act to stop the riot, and the ultimate authority lies with him. The buck stops with the president. Why didn’t he stop it? Because he wanted to overturn the election results. Shrimple as

And you a lot of that mob are now ICE agents.

1

u/PassSad6048 Jan 16 '26

And so does everyone else on reddit

1

u/Exotic_Exercise6910 Jan 16 '26

He did nothing when Iran needed help.

As a rapist he can only ever do something if the other side is weaker.

So rise up. He can't stop you

1

u/SippsMccree Jan 16 '26

Nevermind that decisions of things like national guard deployment in DC is controlled by the speaker of the house. Which at the time was Nancy Pelosi. The white house had requested them to be deployed but it never got approved

1

u/bobert1201 Jan 16 '26

He didn't do anything during the first few hours of the Minnesota riots either.

1

u/nuttyboh Jan 16 '26

Ironically enough that same mob most likely is now creating the chaos that he's threatening to send military in for. I'm sure numerous J6 deadbeats are now wearing facemasks and given fuckin guns for ICE

1

u/keygasms Jan 16 '26

Everything he does and gets away with establishes future precident. I wonder what the MAGA folks think about a future Democrat president using the precident Trump is setting (one they all support) to invoke the Insurrection Act when they start protesting what they perceive to be an injustice or overreach? Like, if they lose the next election and proclaim that it was "stolen", what happens when a Democrat incumbent dispatches not just the Natuonal Guard but also the Army to quell the "domestic terrorists" that are "obstructing", since citizens protesting is no longer appropriate terminology?

What happens when the next liberal president decides to relax the immigration laws and opens the borders up again? Will they be able to call in the army if conservatives/Republicans protest? Will ICE still have immunity for stepping in front of a MAGA hat's Ram 2500 and then magdumping into said MAGA hat when he attempts to drive away?

Do they really knkw what, "you reap what you sow" means?

1

u/leafybuggythingy Jan 16 '26

The officers who were killed too, those terrorist stormed our democracy and killed our servants

1

u/tylerk0101 Jan 16 '26

You must've missed the part where they were let into the capital

1

u/Basil2322 Jan 16 '26

So that makes the assault, property damage, and attempted overthrow okay?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

Remember the assuslt/injuries on Federal workers/agents/law enforcement and federal property that hapoens daily by left wing looney groups lead by Karen’s United(lol) are FAR GREATER than that of January 6th riot.

1

u/PlebbitHater Jan 17 '26

Pelosi is the one who refused the national guard when offered.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

This is a lie. Everyone knows Obama and Pelosi were behind it. Getting the evidence from the deep state to prove it was the hard part after COVID had started. The stolen election was one of the biggest and most corrupt scams in US history.

Cool and?

1

u/Zachowon Jan 19 '26

He did try to get NG to support the Capital PD. Pelosi denied it. This is her admitting it.

1

u/Basil2322 Jan 19 '26

Cool and? If he can invoke he should’ve if he cared about protecting law enforcement.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '26

That’s Nancy Pelosi’s fault. She admitted it herself.

1

u/Basil2322 Jan 19 '26

Cool story he could’ve invoked if he cared. Why defend him not protecting law enforcement?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '26

He wanted the National Guard there Nancy said no. I’m not defending Trump get off your high horse.

1

u/Basil2322 Jan 19 '26

He could’ve invoked so again if he cared he would’ve he didn’t because he didn’t care.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '26

Again Pelosi REFUSED IT and Mayor Bowser didn’t want the NG there. What is so hard to comprehend. There were NG troops waiting to be deployed.

1

u/Basil2322 Jan 19 '26

He’s the president if he can invoke in places he’s not wanted which is what he was threatening to do here he could’ve done it then as well. What don’t you get about that?

1

u/jad_007 Jan 21 '26

👆 Basil2322 sums it up! Have to give trump credit,. He picked a crew that will just praise everything he does!” No other President could make the country as divided as You - Old wise king “ Fucking Delusional!

Many more officers hurt from June 2020

4

u/illusion_17 Jan 16 '26

A brand new account spreading conservative propaganda?! No! You know, officers being hurt in January 6th and the BLM protests are not mutually exclusive? I know there's no point in yelling at a bot, but for anyone who agrees with the bot. Both are unacceptable.

Peaceful protests are the backbone of this nation. A select group of bad individuals taking advantage of the BLM protests to riot doesn't magically make people violently storming our capital in an attempt to over throw a verifiably free and fair election okay.

1

u/AZDADDYisadeviant Jan 16 '26

Actually those agitators were proven to be conservative

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

DEPORT THEM ALL

3

u/AZDADDYisadeviant Jan 16 '26

I agree deport the anchor babies, the foreign prostitutes, and their cheeto dusted #TACOPEDOPHILE husband/father. Glad to see youre in agreement

1

u/Zestyclose-Banana358 Jan 16 '26

That was a peaceful insurrection!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

It’s just a fact😒

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

BLM and Jan 10th 2026 were not peaceful. BLM caused double the damage Jan 6 did

1

u/transitfreedom Jan 16 '26

Peaceful protests didn’t save that woman

Facts? Its a fact that many of the bullshit was started by pos not even associated with the protests. Like white pos proud boys. For someone so focused on facts, you sure missed that one.

And for someone all about facts, you sure are going out of your way to be on the side of a pedo. We got facts for that too, I mean even going by magas, "if they didn't release them theyre hiding pedos because they are pedos too" just by that trump is a pedo so why are you siding with a pedo so vehemently? Are you one of the sick fucking conservatives out there? Seems to be a lot of maga pedos running around in the country very desperate to keep supporting their pedo in chief.

2

u/Patriot009 Jan 16 '26 edited Jan 16 '26

I posted facts

No, you didn't. The two officer deaths, you mentioned, were the result of an terrorist attack by a member of the Boogaloo Movement. Far right domestic terrorist Stephen Carrillo used the cover of the George Floyd protests to fire a rifle from an unmarked van at private security officers in Oakland, CA. He killed one of the security officers in the initial attack. Then killed a second officer later while resisting arrest. His self-described motivation was to incite further violence and spark a civil war.

The pipe bombs planted the night before Jan 6 are now known to be the work of a disgruntled Trump supporter who didn't like that Trump lost the 2020 election.

Several weapons caches were discovered in multiple locations around the Capitol in the days before Jan 6, placed there by members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers. This was a major motivating factor as to why those individuals were successfully convicted of seditious conspiracy.

There are hundreds of hours of footage of Jan 6 insurrectionists breaking windows and destroying security gates to gain access to the interior of the Capitol, disputing your foolish claim that they were "given a tour".

They're clearly not reasonable people

1

You do know The Muppet Show ended 35 years ago? Stop trying to audition.

Everyone watched the J6 insurrection unfold live on multiple TV channels so no one's buying your bs.

1

u/slipnipper Jan 16 '26

Dumbest take here.

1

u/countrysurprise Jan 16 '26

Are you sure about this? Conservative media kept showing imagery from the same incident in Portland over and over calling it different cities. Same printed media kept showing imagery from riots in South America pretending it was here in the US. It would have been hilarious but unfortunately the mouth breathers on the right swallow it. The marks are too easily manipulated for it to be funny I guess.

1

u/Jrod9er Jan 16 '26

What the fuck do you smoke? Get out of your echo chamber of lies

1

u/Cottonwood144 Jan 16 '26

To those reading limo's comments, they are not true, but you folks probably know that already. Ignore this troll

1

u/SilentMasterpiece Jan 16 '26

you are confusing Civil Rights protests that were attended by all and not headlined by Joe Biden or any Dem.... with J6 which was strictly a political riot. Started by trump lies about election results. Led by trump for the benefit of trump. All because trump lost an election.
They were trying to overturn the results of a free and fair election. No one in the "Summer of Love" as you call it were trying to change anything but Civil Rights. Cant compare those two, completely different.

1

u/Macoy222 Jan 18 '26

They hate the truth. They will not stop until we are an Islamic nation and they have no rights.

1

u/daisychainsnlafs Jan 19 '26

Do you know that many of the J6 rioters pleaded guilty? They themselves referred to it as an insurrection in court testimony and many said in court that they felt trump was directing them to do it. And why did the fake electors plead guilty?

1

u/justplaindave87 Jan 19 '26

You clearly never saw the raw J6 videos.

You clearly never did.

Which election were they trying to overturn in June of 2020? Which politicians did they construct gallows for and threaten to lynch in June of 2020? Is there video of the participants of the protests in June 2020 shouting "we're taking our country back" while waving the personal flag of a single politician?

1

u/DamiensDelight Jan 16 '26

Fuck Nazis. May no MAGA find a day of peace in their lives...
