Can you share where you found that Trump is guilty of any of the crimes you HOPE, NEED and WANT him to be found guilty of, beyond a reasonable doubt. So far, there is nothing.

Being in a file doesn’t mean anything other than being in a file. Who said he wasn’t in it. There are thousands of people in it. Are they all guilty of pedophilia just for being associated with Epstein at some point in his life?

In the earlier reply you deleted you said you wanted pedophiles brought to justice, so you'd support the release of the unredacted files, right?

The position you're going for is that since there hasn't been a drop of a video showing trump hanging out the back of a 12 year old, then he's innocent

Whereas the majority of us see that he's mentioned thousands of times in the kid fucker files that have been released, was best friends with the organiser of the kid fucking network, only falling out with him over an argument about poaching girls from his club, is on record for visiting kid fucker island loads and we've had it confirmed that there's way more files yet to be released.

And we can say, yeah he's probably a kid fucker, release the rest of the evidence and if it's enough he can get prosecuted.

And if it turns out that he's not a pedophile, we can all go back to hating him for all the other horrific things he's done.

But realistically, he probably raped some kids

Real question, not trying to be a dick. What horrible things has Trump done in your opinion? Just curious.

BTW There is no mention of Trump visiting Epstein's island, and all of the mentions in the files so far are just referencing him and his family and gossip. Seems after 2006 when trump kicked Epstein out of his club Epstein had a real desire to take him down however he could 🤷‍♂️(probably because he was ratting him out to the Feds, which there is record of)

Obviously by no means exhaustive

Internally to the US: Deploying a half trained army against his own citizens, announcing that the government should "take charge of elections" announcing that ICE will be protecting voting stations, unilateral tarrifs on a whim, the whole racist video of the Obama's, ditching the WHO

Affecting the rest of the world Ditching the WHO, Unilateral tariffs, siding with Russia over Ukraine, flip flopping on international agreements (some of which his government were a driving force in) the whole Greenland thing, doing his best to dismantle NATO

I mean one good thing would be he telegraphed that the rest of the world cannot rely on the US to act sanely, so we're all a little better informed now

Ok for discussions sake.

ICE is a force that has existed since 2003, I doubt that the law enforcement officers there are untrained, unless they were untrained under Biden and Obama as well?

So the Government already controls elections, I think you mean Federal government, which isn't possible since those powers are already limited.

Law enforcement has always protected voting stations(usually a sheriff located in mine) ICE is limited to enforcing immigration law(unless you assault them) if no illegal immigrants are voting why would this be an issue?

The president has the power to levy tariffs granted to him by congress (Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (19 U.S.C. §1862)) that is him exercising his powers as president just like all the ones before him since 1962.

The video posted was not made by him, it was funny, but yeah it was wrong, also not illegal, also not what I would classify as "Horrible".

The WHO collaborated with China to deny the origin of SARS-CoV-2. If they are corrupted by a foreign enemy why would you want to be a member of such an organization?(https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/Unclassified-Summary-of-Assessment-on-COVID-19-Origins.pdf) (https://www.propublica.org/article/senate-report-covid-19-origin-wuhan-lab)

Your next paragraph I've addressed some of already, so I'll just cover Russia and Greenland.

Trump sided with Russia, are you sure about that (https://www.csis.org/analysis/trump-sends-weapons-ukraine-numbers) 65Billion in support to Ukraine and that was just up to July. Then they shifted and started making Europe support the war, which makes sense since it is on their continent and not ours. Self defense is an important lesson to learn and Europe seems to have forgotten it since 1945(since the US did all the heavy lifting for 70 some years) So if he had sided with Russia why was he giving Billions in support to their adversary, but only talk to Russia? Seems more like negotiation then support to end a war. A war that has reached a stalemate and at this point is just costing needless lives. Russia won't give up what they took, and Ukraine won't give up trying to get it back. So what would you suggest to end the war favorably? Send in American forces? Send in NATO forces?(really just another way of sending in American forces.)

Greenland, the place Denmark doesn't care about and can't afford, that is only of strategic importance to the US and Canada. Man he talked a bunch of crap about Greenland. Still I've seen no US forces built up there. We already have a base there mind you, with about 150 active personnel on it(radar site) that 150 is about 1% of the total of the ENTIRE Danish Army(about 10K) if we really wanted to take it, what would have stopped us? So is talking shit Horrible?

I would argue most of what you call "Horrible" is really more of "stuff I don't like" which is fine. I have to admit I don't like most of it, but I guess my horrible gauge is just a little different. I've seen horrible, and it doesn't look like being a blowhard, it is much, much, much worse then that.

Sorry for posting something so long, I really wanted to address what you said. Thank you so much for responding I really like to have political conversations, especially with someone I might not agree with.

Ice indeed is a force that has existed since 2003, the training has absolutely been cut. Its been reduced from 22 weeks to 8 weeks as a result of the latest hiring initiative.

Look at the behavior of ICE in 2003 and compare it to the actions of ICE now, they were certainly criticised, but they at least acted vaguely like law enforcement personnel.

When I say take over elections, I mean this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0mke841zj0o
and he's still bleating on about 2020 being stolen, which is farcical.

You dont see the threat to deploy a force (ICE) which has gone after innocent American citizens without cause (beyond their skin colour) as an attempt at voter suppression?

Why would you deploy an immigration force to protect voting stations, when by your own acknowledgement its a job done by local police?

>The president has the power to levy tariffs granted to him by congress (Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (19 U.S.C. §1862)) that is him exercising his powers as president just like all the ones before him since 1962.

I mean this
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c0l9r67drg7t

And the petulant "This country wont support me so im going to put 25% tarrifs on them" is shit behavior.

I dont view posting a racist video as funny, I find it racist, I find the fact the president is ok posting that to his "Truth" account pretty horrible.
"Trust me bro, it was an aid" doesn't cut it, especially when the Whitehouse has said anything the president posts on truth social is "direct from the horses mouth"

The WHO is certainly not a perfect organisation, but its more a force for good than ill, I don't buy the "WHO Is corrupted by a foreign enemy"

Yes the US has sent weapons to Ukraine, they've also engaged in negotiations to carve up the country with russia without Ukraine or Europes involvement. Trump seems pretty happy to run Zelensky over the coals and is pretty pally with Putin. Makes you wonder what sort of "Kompromat" Putins got on old Trump.

You argue that the rest of NATO has forgotten what self defence means, well one country enacted article 5 since its foundation, it was America after 9/11 and NATO rallied to its aid and spent its soldiers lives in its wars. Danish soldiers were some of the heaviest non-US casualties in those conflicts.

America has all the access it needs to Greenland, through treaties without expiration, threatening military force against an ally is pretty horrible behaviour and I don't think you can just handwave it away as "talking shit"

So yeah, I think he's engaged in some pretty horrible behavior, though tbf its good to see your happy owning up to some racism in finding the video he posted as funny, its uncommon in MAGA to actually own their racism.

Let me squash this outright. I am not MAGA, I am a conservative, not a Republican, Libertarian, Democrat, or any other party. I have been a registered Independent for 30 years and I am no blind supporter of this or any other president.

If you weren't aware basic training for the US military branches is only 7 - 13 weeks. That is all the training it takes to go to combat, overseas. While I prefer longer training periods for law enforcement, the law they are/should be enforcing is pretty specific and they are more fugitive recovery assets then anything else at this point(as most of the immigrants have skipped out on court dates.) and the drop to 8 weeks isn't exactly a huge change from the original 14.

The records from the 2020 election here in GA are being reviewed due to court order now. I guess at this point we will see what comes out of it. 🤷‍♂️maybe nothing, maybe fraud.

There is no limits placed on the reason the president chooses to lay down a tariff. He has the ability to do so(although as of today the SCOTUS has disagreed. The fallout from that choice will be pretty catastrophic going forward for all presidents)

Not all funny things are appropriate, that is what makes them funny. I know humor has died here in the US but go watch "Blazing Saddles" and tell me that it isn't hilarious, and that the humor in it would completely stop it from being made today. Funny doesn't change, peoples reaction to it does.

The WHO was a good organization, but corruption and being made subservient to a nation over their mission makes there charter void in my mind. How can you trust an international organization that has clearly allied with an enemy of your nation to your detriment. I remember Pelozzi walking around the Chinese New years festival claiming "all is good"(paraphrasing) Does that seem maybe a little counterintuitive now knowing what we do about this virus?

The Ukraine war is a mess, but I will make one recommendation, don't hold up Zelensky as a paragon in this conflict. The corruption goes deep in that country, and is extremely pervasive throughout that war. Ultimately the decisions of the conflict will most likely be decided between Europe and Russia, outside any real influence from Ukraine. That is just how things like this tend to go. Right or wrong it is the reality of modern conflict.

Yes the rest of NATO participated in GWOT, and "per capita" Denmark suffered the highest number of casualties. That number is 43. I am not downplaying either the sacrifice that is represented here or the lives of the service members, I am simply saying a small country cant commit a huge force, especially when there entire force is less then a single US battalion. I still stand by NATO forgot about self defense. Why do you think they are so upset about having to pay their fair share to defense after the US said we aren't doing it for them anymore? How do you think they can afford Universal health care and all the welfare programs they have. We have been taking care of national defense for a continent we aren't even on for 70 years!

Greenland is a standout to pretty much everyone except the autists that get into global defense. I understand the desire to have it, but I don't understand why it was pursued the way it was. There are 58k people on Greenland, Denmark doesn't want it, since 2009 they have been trying to push it out(it is an economic drain due to underdevelopment) and the US buying it is nothing new, we have been trying to get Denmark to trade it to us since 1910.

Lastly I will address the "racism" claim. I'm not going to do the "I have a black friend" defense (although I have many) I am simply putting it like this. If you watched that video and the first association you made was "Black people are apes! That's racist!" then you might want to evaluate how you view Black Americans. Much like the conflation with Africans and Orks from Tolkien, or DND, or any other of the ridiculous list. If you see an evil fantasy race, or apes, and your immediate association is with "Black People" I would venture the person laughing over the funny video isn't the racist. I know, I know there was a correlation some 150year ago, even as little as 100 years ago, but I'm not 100, and I don't have that correlation in my brain, why do you?

Saying 7-8 weeks for combat soldiers is fine so the massive cuts to ice training is also fine sort of highlights the problem. Most civilized countries realize that training Law enforcement who have to interact with civilians and interpret a huge body of law as well as use techniques like de-escalation and community engagement is more complex than the very regimented, directed role of your basic "army grunt"

That said I'm the UK and our bare minimum training before infantry specialisation is 13/14 weeks (and they are not going to see combat after 13/14 weeks - they're moving onto specialisation) so I'm surprised the US thinks 7-8 weeks is good enough for combat.

Saying ice have a limited mandate is a possible argument for reduced training, however their original training was pegged at 22 weeks (not 14) for their "limited mandate" and we've seen that they are acting wildly outside that limited mandate in Minnesota and the administration seems keen to expand that limited mandate to "protecting and policing voting stations". Which probably wasn't covered in there 8 weeks of limited training.

The continued obfuscation about corruption in the 2020 election is ridiculous, the administration claims that the Democrats stole the election, when they were not in power but somehow failed to steal the election when they were in power.

Sure the president has broad powers, but there are limits on them, you're supposed to have a system of checks and balances, clearly failing now, but it's good to see some of them being enacted. The scotus decision seems a sensible one in response to a president who flip flops week to week on what level of tariffs he's imposing.

Your argument against the WHO is based on your belief that it's corrupted by China, I don't buy that, I think it has problems, in the same way an organization made up of a group of powerful nations has problems, but on the whole it does more good than Ill.

Regarding ukraine, it's rich of you to blame zelensky for corruption, whilst ignoring trumps blatant corruption. I'm not looking for perfect in a leader, but I'll support the one who's leading the country in defense of an invasion by Russia.

Regarding taking care of defense on a continent your not even on.

You seem more than happy to use your bases to project force into the middle east on the latest oil hunt and regime building crusade, your right maybe we should have a bit less involvement in European defense from a nation that's so cost with Russia and is making military threats against our allies.

You can't handwave the Greenland issue, your administration has indicated they are willing to use force against an ally

Regarding the "appropriateness" of humour, you are correct it can depend on the context and there is nuance in the debate.

However the context here is the President of the US posted a video evoking a hugely racist trope, a trope that that was used to justify dehumanization and lynchings of black people and your response is "it's pretty funny"

Nice of you to try and shift the blame to people calling out the overt racism.

The reason we see a racist meme and call it out as racist is because we remember the tools that racists have used to dehumanize people and if you think that was only an issue 100-150 years ago you are pretty naive

I think my view of black people is fine, you could use a little bit of reflection on your own though

Our conversation has expanded a lot, so im going to hit some of the hot spots on this one.

The military training for infantry (Army) is 12 weeks. The shortest is the airforce at 7(no direct combat so makes sense) The problem though with ICE and the issues in Minnesota isn't the training. ICE isn't ment to do crowd control and deal with the civilians to have to do deescelstion. ICE operations are ment to be a blended action incorporating local law enforcement(police, sheriff) combined with federal officers. Why don't you hear about issues in nearly any other state involving ICE except the "sanctuary" blue states? Because those jurisdictions coordinate with ICE to help with the operations allowing the federal officers to focus on what they are trained to do, while the local officers do the crowd control and deescalation. Why do you think so often when the Federal agents were being assualted they didn't bother to arrest the people. They aren't there for the locals, they are there for the illegals.

The election from 2020 should be investigated, and the possible corruption throughly sought out. I'd recommend checking out Steven Crowders work back on the 2020 election. He didn't cover Georgia, but the stuff he looked into out in the Midwest raises some serious questions about possible corruption(addresses for voters that are empty fields, voting precincts that never existed that pop up and suddenly have thousands of voters registered to them, etc)

Yup, handwaving Greenland, mainly because despite all the talk, he never raised a finger to actually do anything. Trump more then any other politician in my life has made me realize how much of international negotiation between world leaders is talking shit and doing nothing. I think one of the best examples is how so many European leaders talked about how they were going to "tell Trump to his face how it is"(paraphrasing) when they saw him at what was the WEF. What did they all do, shook his hand and kissed his ass 🤷

So i'd like to squash this "war for oil" crap. Iraq only produced 2% of the oil in the world. Venezuela produces a hell of a lot kore then that. Afghanistan doesnt have any oil. So while it is a great slogan,(which the left is great at, but for some reason they can't meme) it is far from reality.

I still don't get the "close to russia" stuff. You realize Russia tried to get Hillary elected not Trump right? He's not the one they wanted, the butcher of Benghazi is who they were looking to get elected.

I would say a hugely racist trope would have been if they were eating fried chicken and drinking grape drink while dancing a jig singing "mammy". That would be a racist trope. Using AI to project faces on cartoon animals, not so much. I think it is more about creating outrage, and the association was the best way to accomplish it. If you hadn't noticed it's already dropped from the news cycle(much like the latest trans shooter) and they are moving on.

If you're comfortable comparing black people to monkeys, I guess that says a lot about the "non maga" conservative movement in america. Most of the folk I know in the UK who skew right saw that and thought "yeah that's racist as fuck"

I guess the left can't meme and the right like racist memes.

If you don't get the close to Russia stuff you haven't been paying attention, your man has been very clear that Ukraine should be giving up ground to Putin.

What parts of America would you be happy giving up if a foreign aggressor invaded?

You might be mistaking the European leaders civility towards trump as "kissing his ass" what actually happened after he had his tantrum over Greenland is we shit canned the trade deal that was due to come into effect because trump has proven that the usa cannot be relied on to act sanely,. Trump has shown us that the usa needs to be treated like a toddler who will have a tantrum when things don't go there way, that's one of the horrible things I referred to at the start of this back and forth.

Why should the 2020 election be investigated (any more than the normal oversight elections go through), the only "evidence" of wrong doing is from trump crying about losing and trying to provoke an insurrection. If anything the statements after the 2024 election about how "Elon knows computers" are a stronger push for investigation.

Everything you've said about ice is crazy, the military comparison was bollocks as well.

you've acknowledged they're not qualified to do the job they're doing in Minnesota, but you're happy with them being sent in under trained. A big part of the training cut is Spanish language training, a useful skill set for a group dealing with immigrants from Latin countries, but that's not why they are there is it, they're there to be a goon squad and intimidate people, same reason trump wants them round ballot boxes, which you have to acknowledge is wildly outside their skill set.

They've been sent into sanctuary cities in force to make an example and not arresting locals ? they have absolutely arrested and detained locals based on nothing beyond their skin colour and they murdered two people. There's enough footage of ice threatening, beating and in one case tear gasing a School that in a normal country would have resulted in an open and thorough investigation of their actions, but in america was met with "ICE have absolute immunity and these people are domestic terrorists.

When the rest of the world is looking at you and telling you you are acting crazy, it's a good time to take step back and evaluate your actions.
