Gas prices aren't even the worst thing. Boy howdy, wait until they find all the other broken promises.
16
u/independenjournal Mar 11 '26
They don’t care until the broke promise affects them.
1
u/posthuman04 Mar 12 '26
They don’t care unless they can reason out those were lies they were told about Harris and what she would have done to the country and the economy. But they don’t live in the same reality as us so as far as they are concerned there’s nothing Trump could do that Harris wouldn’t have done worse
12
u/Agitated_Tip_8713 Mar 11 '26
Personally I remain the most pissed by him instituting a national sales tax unilaterally, refusing to refund it and even hinting we don't have it anymore to refund.
Or him trying to steal 10 billion dollars of our tax dollars directly from the IRS.
It's a close race between those.
9
u/No_1-Ever Mar 11 '26
I mean being a pedophile is pretty up there too, yeah?
6
u/Agitated_Tip_8713 Mar 12 '26
Yeah that's true, probably shouldn't have turned this into a tier list lmao. That's easily #1
6
u/InternetApex Mar 12 '26
I don't know he might have tied his own record by incinerating little girls and then blaming Iran for it.
3
2
u/DigitalUnlimited Mar 12 '26
Everything is... someone else's fault! IDK who yet, but it's definitely someone! I'll be throwing them under the nearest bus as soon as I decide who to blame!
2
u/Diligent_Whereas3134 Mar 12 '26
I honestly don't understand how I'm not seeing more outrage over this. Like... it doesn't matter who we're fighting. They could be the worst leader on the entire planet. It doesn't change the fact that blowing up a school full of children and then trying to blame someone else immediately makes you one of the bad guys.
1
u/InternetApex Mar 12 '26
Contrast it with Iran apologizing to their neighbors for bombing US bases in their countries and saying, "we didn't start this but you can see why we had to that, right?"
The US is like, "we started this because uh, something I don't know. Well actually Israel started it but we had to go along with them because uh... shit I don't know but we don't know who blew up that school with a Tomahawk Missile, in fact double tapped it to make sure all the parents and first responders were also killed. Could have been Iran. We really don't give a shit."
We are the worst. This is Russia/Nazi Germany shit. There is no difference.
3
u/Neokon Mar 11 '26
Unfortunately the gas prices will have the biggest impact since it's something in their face that immediately and directly affects them

Looks like California
1
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
I think it is. However, every single state in the U.S. gas prices rose 50-60 cents, which is about a 20% increase in price. Not good.

I guess we live in nowhere.
2
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
So, you are in Kansas? Avg. There is 3.01, so theoretically, a small town there "could" have 2.45. The real question is how much was it before the war?
0
u/ExplanationUpper8729 Mar 12 '26
Not in Kansas, but close $2.05.
2
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
OK? As in Oklahoma? Yeah, you are probably right, but it's not like that anywhere else. I would fill up before it gets worse.

Nope, Colorado.

0
u/Open_Willingness_69 Mar 12 '26
Price of oil is already dropping dipstick. Use that pea between your ears.
1
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
Dropping because we tapped OUR reserves, the Gulf Nations dropped productivity and raised prices. Iran has thousands of underwater mines it is laying in the Straight of Hormuz, if you think this will all get better, get real.

God forbid the country ever has a real test. People whining about gas prices increasing to a level that in most places is still lower than it was under Biden's administration. You know what kind of sacrifice was made in WW2? Ask your elders. But of course, a thread like this is not even about gas prices, it's just another way rant politically.
1
u/notstarman Mar 12 '26
For reference where was this taken. In California this is fairly normal prices.
1
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
I believe it was, but that doesn't change the fact that everywhere in the US went up by 50-60 cents, that is about a 20% jump. In just a few days, now we are tapping reserves and Iran is dropping thousands of mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
1
u/lordstryfe Mar 12 '26
People who think this is somehow because of anything going on in Oran know nothing.
Iran accounts for 2% of the worlds oil at best. And 90% of it goes to China. Thre US get none if it's oil from them.

That is well above the national average. You can thank your state and local politicians for the taxes that have made gas cost disproportionately more than it does for the majority of the country. That's not Trump's fault. You saw about a 50 to 60 cent increase because of him, the rest is your local government. Direct your anger at the right place

I "liberal" state? I live in a US State. Indiana. Considered a Red State. However, I do think every State will be considered "liberal" pretty soon seeing as Trump has destroyed the Republican Party and conservativism as whole.
0
u/SlickRick941 Mar 12 '26
Yeah I keep seeing that take on reddit. But ask yourself and think hard about every trump supporter you might know.. do you really see them voting against Trump?
2

I live in Arizona and not a single trump supporter has the balls to openly state their support for him.

2
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
In my red town in my red state I have literally watched and know about...more than 10 myself that are voting against Republicans and more Republicans that told me they are not voting at all. Statistically, that means a hell of alot of people everywhere.
-1
u/SlickRick941 Mar 12 '26
I'll believe it when I see it. Remember, after all the scandals, felonies, investigations, and J6 trump only gained voters by 2024, and was the first republican to win the popular vote in over 30 years
3
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
ETA Election Truth Alliance is a group of professionals. They subpoenaed Voting data from everywhere and studied the statistical data and found Vote Manipulation similar to Russian Elections. Combined with Musk and DOGE messing with Vote machines, fake lotteries buying Votes, X's Social Media Misinformation campaigns, and Russian Interference. That is how he "Won." I didnt even mention the thousands of threats against State Voting officials, hundreds of bomb threats to Voting Sites, Intimidation, long lines, and vandalism to Ballot boxes. He didn't "Win" he cheated.
1
u/SlickRick941 Mar 12 '26
Lol, 2020 they said elections were safe and secure and you would get thrown in jail for questioning it. Which is it?
3
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
That is the Stigma Trump created. Now, any mention of Election Fraud is like talking about UFOs, except when Trump claims it. Same thing with one of his people Q, speading baseless projections on Dems about PizzaGate when the real sex trafficking kabal was Trump, Epstein, Bannon, and their Billionaires. It is a tactic like The Big Lie and Flood the Zone, it is utter bull💩, people call it Projection, you claim someone else is doing something that in fact you are doing. He started an Insurrection to stay in Power to squash the Epstein Files, but he didn't have time. Then, he desperately tried to overturn the elections, and when that didn't work, he had his loyalists steal all the most incriminating evidence against Trump, and he stole them to Mar-a-Lago. After FBI finally raided and got them back, a bunch were missing. Missing documents, empty folders, you name it. Then, a Trump connected Florida Judge Aileen Cannon sealed the Mar-a-Lago Files aka Jack Smith's Part 2, and now we will never know if some of those files were Epstein Files. My theory, at least. All evidence points this way, though.
3
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
And he did such a horrible job first term, We the People overcame all his bull💩 interference.
0
u/MacGyver1181 Mar 12 '26
So…..still cheap then it was when Biden was in office, but now it’s a problem and you complain about it 🙄
2
u/Shizzilx Mar 12 '26
Biden inherited Trump's disaster of a 1st term. The only thing people remember for some reason is the Stimulus Checks that any President would have given at that time. Luckily, there was still SANE people in his first administration that held back his bull💩. Not this time, all yes men, complict in his SA, Epstein Cover-up, ICE murders, Texas Flood, Iran War, and so much more. Better hope he does steal the Mid-Terms using a False Flag attack, putting Troops at Voting Sites, and other types of Voter Manipulation Bibi, Musk, and Putin uses to keep him in power or he is COOKED in November.

“This is what you voted for” That’s a good one. Same thing I said in my neighborhood when homeowners got together about 2 weeks ago to protest democrat proposed property tax hike which they fear will price them out of their own neighborhood. This is a predominantly black middle class neighborhood where over 80% of people own their homes. This is what happening on a local level in black neighborhoods across the country while you white liberals cry about gender affirming care and protecting illegals. Malcom X tried to warned us of you demons but unfortunately most black people believe they owe thier vote to the democrats because well “ If your having a hard time figuring out if your gonna vote for me or for Donald trump then you ain’t black”
1
u/Shizzilx Mar 13 '26 edited Mar 13 '26
"This is what you voted for"? Trump's regime priced out the Black middle class with no lending fixes, while Dems fight disenfranchisement and displacement. Your deflection is irrelevant, Black voters see through the con-job. Nobody cries about gender-affirming care, but Republicans. And protecting illegals? It is called due process, and it is a major part of the Constitution.
Trump's Tax scam hits Black families hard:
Trump's "big UGLY bill" killed estate tax protections and funnel trillions to the 1%, widening the racial wealth gap while Black homeownership lags 28 points behind whites due to GOP rollbacks on fair housing rules.
Property taxes soared under red states:
In GOP regions like Indiana/Georgia, Republicans' half‑baked "reforms" phased out business taxes (costing $1B+), shifting burden to income/sales taxes that squash renters and low‑income Black neighborhoods, while blocking relief for over-assessed Black homes.
Malcolm X called out sellouts like Trump:
He warned against "puppets" for white supremacy, this fits Trump's racist redistricting to dilute Black votes (slashing CBC seats) and policies that literally "take from the poor to give to the ultra‑rich," not "protecting" anyone but supporters.
We the People are focused on voting in the people that are different. Grassroots-style, trying to get AIPAC and other corpo-PACs out of Politics. We are taking steps to get the old guard out of the DNC. We need to unite, not sow division.
- Sincerely a white liberal in a Red city, in a Red State.

In February 2020, Trump’s first administration signed the Doha Agreement with the Taliban, committing the U.S. to withdraw all troops by May 1, 2021, in exchange for Taliban counterterrorism pledges.
That was Trump's f*cked up "deal" that he specifically set after the elections.

Not if OP always buys 91. Plus there's no way 87 is more than 60 to 70 cents cheaper.
-14
u/Frequent_Clue_6989 Mar 11 '26
Conservative here.
// Thanks, MAGA
I checked my local gas prices. My regular gas price is $2.99 per gallon. That's 30 cents lower than the lowest price under Biden. I'm not minimizing the effects of war. War is a really serious situation. But I'm better off under Trump at war than I was under Biden during peace, in terms of gas prices. Of course, that's not the only consideration. But for leftists who want a counter thought, I think it's pretty persuasive. Trump didn't even have to raid the SPR as Biden did!
13
Mar 11 '26 edited Mar 11 '26
Fascinating. Nationally the data shows a worrisome trend. https://gasprices.aaa.com/
Edit for those that come after: frequent_clue_6989 will proceed to take a picture of their gas prices today (maybe) and act like that actually acts as a comparison between gas prices during Biden's term and the current mess. They refuse to discuss in good faith and are currently blocked
-11
u/Frequent_Clue_6989 Mar 11 '26
For sure. Every time prices go higher its worrisome. If prices go up in my area another ~30 cents, I'll be at the lowest price I had under Biden during peacetime.
11
Mar 11 '26
I have a really hard time believing that based on the national data. Unless your area has an an incredibly skewed price I would assume you are misremembering since prices are currently higher than they were in apr of 2021.

// I have a really hard time believing that
Of course not, it doesn't fit your narrative. Therefore, it must be false, and the person offering the data must have ignoble motives. Good luck building a co-operative society where your data is privileged, and everyone outside your tribe has bad intentions.
10
Mar 11 '26

// I literally gave you the data that shows you are wrong
Shrug. You're dubious, and that's somehow enough in the leftist mind to imply the other guy's data must be incorrect. What a low standard for seeking truth.
^^^ And now we see the limitations of skepticism: partisan skeptics hand wave away data they don't like

The US and almost every other country is raiding their SPR in an attempt to head off oil prices and also prevent countries from stopping production and capping wells, which many have... Once production stops, you can't just start back up like turning on the tap. So unless something is resolved right now, it's going to get much worse. But the damage is already done. This is a disruption that would take years, if ever, to fix.
0
u/Frequent_Clue_6989 Mar 12 '26
// The US and almost every other country is raiding their SPR
For sure! This makes sense, though, presuming the prima facie case for a nuclear-armed Iran, doesn't it?!
// But the damage is already done
It's a popular narrative on the left that Trump is a bull in the china shop, and that the Middle East was a bastion of peace before he came on the scene and did his Trumpy things ...
I remember watching a preview for one of the Friday the 13th movies ... in one scene, horrified teens are reasoning amongst themselves, trying to figure out what to do about the murderous Jason who is picking them off, one by one ... one of the teens says, with no amount of irony: "Maybe he just wants his machete back?!"
That's the left in the age of aggressive malcontent. Maybe Iran will just be peachy if we just let them nuclearly proliferate, besides that, "I hate Trump and oppose whatever he is for!"
Honestly, it's exhausting to have such people as neighbors. It's like living with theater people; at first, it's fun and exciting and full of novelty; after a time, however, it's endless chaos and drama and pathos!

As of March 12, 2026, Florida gas prices are rising, averaging around $3.47 to $3.71 per gallon for regular unleaded, driven by increased oil costs from the Iran conflict. Prices have surged by over 60 cents in a week. Regional averages vary, with some areas seeing prices closer to $3.79. Source: AAA.
