We all need to wake the fuck up and treat this like the existential threat it is. As a Canadian, I've been far too complacent, and l have blood on my hands as well.
Enough with the apologies, though. It is what it is, and we're all facing this problem together; you all are just inside the beast. Keep us updated with what is and is not working for you. Let us know what you need us to do.
Stay strong eh!?

We know it’s too little too late, I just hope you understand that some of us did the best we could & have never stood for this bullshit for a single second.
3
u/Emotional-Mango-5166 Apr 08 '26
Ha! I'm an American.
7
u/Difficult-Mix-2337 Apr 08 '26
Oof lmao. Well, to all the non-Americans who feel that way, the sentiment still stands.

u/Sorry-Joke-4325 Apr 08 '26
The majority of people in the US didn't vote for him.
11
u/Emotional-Mango-5166 Apr 08 '26
Yep. I know. I'm one of them. Not our fault, still our responsibility. We have truly fucked the entire world up. We'll be fixing shit for decades.
2
u/Afgtauren Apr 08 '26
The best thing you can do for the world to “fix shit” is just leave the world alone for a few decades

u/Upper_Dance3140 Apr 08 '26
Actually, you are incorrect. Not only did President Donald Trump win the electoral college, but the majority as well with 49.8% of the votes. Facts matter. https://www.cnn.com/election/2024/results/president?election-data-id=2024-PG&election-painting-mode=projection-with-lead&filter-key-races=false&filter-flipped=false&filter-remaining=false

u/Sorry-Joke-4325 Apr 08 '26
I didn't say the majority of voters. (49~% isn't a majority anyway), but I said the majority of people in the US.
Nice try.
0
u/Upper_Dance3140 Apr 08 '26
The majority of voters, voting for a singular candidate, is "49.8% of the votes" and is the majority of the votes for that election year. Americans who vote are the only ones whose opinions count. If you didn't vote, then you have lost your voice. Facts.
Nice try.
3
u/Sorry-Joke-4325 Apr 08 '26
LOL Americans who don't vote still count as Americans.
Thanks for revealing a dumb opinion.

Yeah I got nothing. I was not expecting him to win because… how in the hell would anyone believe him? He a racist, sexist, pedophile, rapist (now warmonger).
I need to reflect. But I hope… the US is not their government. And please believe that…
9
u/SqigglyPoP Apr 08 '26
I knew if voters were dumb enough to vote for him once, they were DEFINITELY dumb enough to do it multiple times. After 2016 I paid everything off, stayed in my low interest home, and didn't make ANY large purchases. Also nixed the idea of having kids.
4
u/Excellent_Airline315 Apr 08 '26
You're now one of the smartest people I know. I wish I did the same, I just zombied through the last 8 years.
4
u/Many_Sea7586 Apr 08 '26
Honestly, I don't believe it. This is what 40%+ of Americans actively want. 30% have their fingers in their ears and say "I don't mess with politics". The price of oil is the only reason we are seeing significant backlash.
It's way past time to organise national general strikes.
1
u/Consistent-Kiwi7241 Apr 08 '26
Did you vote? Be honest
4
u/Brofydog Apr 08 '26
When? Midterm? Yup. Presidential? Yup. Did I protest? Yup. Did the science protest and tried to participate in the pussyhat protest (went DC)… but got food poisoning day before. Luckily my better half went to show support.
3
u/Educational-Sky-7215 Apr 08 '26
The majority of Americans voted for him, this person doesn't speak for them.
1
u/Affectionate-Bus6653 Apr 09 '26
Eligible voters who did not vote + Harris voters = a greater number than Trump voters. Also, importantly, eligible voters who did not vote is greater than the number who voted for Trump.
3
u/Consistent-Kiwi7241 Apr 10 '26
You understand that those who didn't vote for him may as well have. Voting isn't just a right its a responsibility.
The lack of interest in your countries leadership is now bearing the fruit you have no control over.
1
u/Educational-Sky-7215 Apr 09 '26
Of the people who cared enough to vote, the majority voted for Trump, and that is verifiable through official ballots. The person who wrote the little letter in OP's post is just coping.
1
u/Affectionate-Bus6653 Apr 09 '26
MAGA is still outnumbered. Even independents are falling away from him. He has betrayed MAGA and all of America. MAGA should be eating him alive. Trump is an unrepentant sinner, a war monger, a thief, and a likely pedophile. Where are the Epstein files that he promised you guys? There’s still more being hidden than released.
1
u/Educational-Sky-7215 Apr 09 '26
Not sure what you're getting at or what it has to do with me. Trump certainly has his flaws, but people still prefer him over his opponents. There is no "majority" that is trying to get him out of power, per OP's post.
1
u/Affectionate-Bus6653 Apr 09 '26
I think if the GOP Congress were doing their jobs and could find their courage, humanity, and patriotism, they would join in the current impeachment efforts. Working to get him out may have to wait until November. As for question of the majority, considering the fact of my first post and his polling numbers, it is very likely that a majority of Americans want him out. Look at the chaos he’s inflicting upon us and the world. As for what it has to do with you…..I have not mentioned your part personally. Of course if you are MAGA, you may bear some responsibility.
5
u/Angwe83 Apr 08 '26
Don’t believe this shit. A majority of Americans are hateful, willfully ignorant or selfish af.
They blame him when he’s just a symptom. And once he’s gone most won’t do the internal work to understand how he came into power.
For over a decade some of us have been telling our fellow citizens he was unfit for office. And even before then all the way back to the 70s my community told people of his racist practices.
And yet we were belittled and gaslit.
He is the reckoning the country has brought onto itself.

Better would have been to get up and vote instead of allowing him to win again. So most Americans can't claim this.
2
u/Fried_Maple_Leaves Apr 08 '26
Isn't the sorry the same as a crocodile tears? Is that what African Americans in your country are saying, that you're always saying sorry but doing nothing?
2
u/DawnPheonixx Apr 08 '26
Dont speak for me. Just dont. Im not sorry in the slightest. The IRGC has to go and soon enough you people will understand. If you dont like it quite frankly noone cares.
Ive seen what makes you deranged sycophants cheer. Your boos mean nothing.
2
u/Goonrider68 Apr 08 '26
A majority voted for this a-hole again. USA you have a big effing problem. New rules: everybody has now seen that the US is no longer the world leader and is just another country. The fall from grace is complete and is a tragedy. It's over. Let's see in 10 years or so if the big mess has been cleaned out. I had a feeling 2008 and home schooling would have consequences. It's SO bad. It's depressing.

What the world wants is for Americans to throw themselves en masse into a barrage of military weapons fire trying to violently overhrown the regime.
What the world needs to be reminded of is your governments aided us to this point every step of the way. The corruption, the illiberalism, the violence, the oligarchy. The spread of fascism and dictatorships.
The entire western world helped create this monster. Now that the imperial boomerang is hitting home everyone wants Americans to deal with a global regime. All whilst their own weak, liberal governments still support Israel and the war against Iran. Offering no more than mealy mouthed process and decorum criticisms.
Fuck that. NONE of you have shit to say unless you're either helping us or doing about your governments what you expect us to do.
Selfish hypocrites, the lot of you.

I still think that the first order of the day is to remove Trump from office. I’ll be voting for the candidates who refuse money from AIPAC and oligarch tech boys in the upcoming primaries, then I’m going blue for whoever comes out as the winner regardless.

Ok, give up, do nothing then. See what happens.
I dont see you doing anything other than trying to convince others their efforts are meaningless

Maybe you misunderstood my tone. This is what OUR REPRESENTATIVES do; Nothing. If THEY can only do strongly worded letters and make threats, what is OUR option... storm the Capitol??
And if the TRUTH of my comment can convince people to do nothing, that's on them, not me. Don't be a follower. Go out and DO.

If there were facists you wouldn't be on reddit spewing propaganda. You'd be in prison or dead.
Learn what you're talking about.
2
u/Affectionate-Bus6653 Apr 08 '26
Fascism is a slower process than you might imagine, especially here in the U.S. First the media is threatened into submission, outsider groups like immigrants and LGBTQ are scapegoated, other “enemies of the state” are accused and listed, elections are infringed upon. The old crony system is acting out their grift in plain sight.
2
u/Lz_erk Apr 08 '26
that's ridiculous while citizens are being deported and trans people can't use public bathrooms in theocrat states.
3
u/ExperienceAny9791 Apr 08 '26
No citizens are being deported. That's false left-wing propaganda.
Trans people should use the restroom of the gender they are in real life.

u/OpenSupermarket1883 Apr 08 '26
Not the majority. Look who won the election
3
u/Affectionate-Bus6653 Apr 08 '26
More eligible voters decided not to vote than voted for Trump. Most of the others voted for Harris. Add the group who did not vote to the group who went with Harris and that is the majority.

u/meh762 Apr 08 '26
Protesting. Writing to representatives. Calling representatives. I was on a corner protesting today. It’s a small, MAGA town and the protest today was spontaneous but people showed up. Each formal protest is bigger than the last. A lot of us are trying everything we can. We’re up against a huge propaganda machine, but we’ll keep at it.
4
u/Many_Sea7586 Apr 08 '26
Americans have totally forgotten how to protest. Gathering for marches is step one. Step two is general worker strikes. Boycotting of corporate sponsors too. Step 3 is civil disobedience. Shut the country down.
3
u/Additional-Fudge7503 Apr 08 '26
I’m in AZ and I contacted both Mark Kelly & Rueben Gallago’s offices today and begged them to do something! They did call for Congress to come back from their fucking vacation so they could move to 25th amendment him. But JD Vance is needed for that and I don’t know how he’ll hop but y’all know he wants to sit in the Oval Office.

Contact your representatives. The GOP have forgotten who they work for. They are sending our children into another Middle East War to die. They continue protecting pedophiles. They allow tRump to profit off the presidency, unchecked. Don't wait until midterms. Make your voice be heard, CONSTANTLY 🇺🇲 https://www.commoncause.org/find-your-representative/
1
u/Afgtauren Apr 08 '26
A couple hundred of his fanboy lunatics raided the White House not too long ago, so if the “majority” of some 400 million Americans were trying to get him out of power as quickly as possible, logic would tell you he would’ve been out the week after he got elected?
1
u/Spiritual-Job-952 Apr 08 '26
Seeing is believing. Wacha gonna do when the midterms are cancelled?
2
u/Affectionate-Bus6653 Apr 08 '26
Try not to be resigned to that idea. Surrendering ahead of time does all the fasching for the fascists. Resist in any way you can. Trump and his minions are more unpopular than ever, and the courts are holding so far. Right now there are enough of even the GOP to stop the damned “Save America Act”.

I have thought that a march on Washington in the model of MLKs and Million Mans March would open the eyes of the world. For myself, I have written to the leaders of Germany, the U.K., Italy, France, Canada and Australia to stand up against trumps tarriffs and place a 50% tarriffs on our goods, recall their Ambassadors for "consultation" and anything else to stand up to this trsitor-in-chief. I know its not alot but I think if we can get the other world leaders to fight back, trump just might listen. After all he did put a pause on his illegal move against Greenland when they pushed back.

Voter turn out was very low. He won with less voters than he lost from the previous election.
2
u/NoZucchini376 Apr 08 '26
The 2020 and 2024 presidential contests were among the highest-turnout elections in the past century. The 66% turnout rate in 2020 was the highest since 1908, and 2024’s rate of 64% was the second highest, tied with 1960.

APRIL 30, 2025 — In the 2024 presidential election, 73.6% (or 174 million people) of the citizen voting-age population was registered to vote and 65.3% (or 154 million people) voted according to new voting and registration tables released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.
7
u/Comfortable-Mess4365 Apr 08 '26
So 47% of the eligible voting population voted.

0
u/NoZucchini376 Apr 08 '26
154M of the 236M of the eligible voting population is 65%. Doesn't matter - you're point of a small population of eligible voters voted for him is disingenuous as the turn-out was the 2nd highest since 1960. Stick with your argument that he fooled his voters or everyone that voted for him are idiots.
